This is a fuse box horribly hard to find it, I couldn't breathe when I fold my back 180 degree getting into a lower side of passenger seat, hurted my finger when I twisted the plastic locks on both side, and I almost cried. However, the information you gave is accurate! Thanks for the video :)
Please note that in the video itself I reference the fuse in the trunk as F237 instead of F273 as visible in the pamphlet, please excuse that mistake. That F273 does also relate to a cigarette lighter outlet in the car, it could be the one in the trunk itself, but it does NOT fix the one in the front seat next to the cup holders.
Great Video, thank you! One more question: Does it matter if I connect e.g. a dashcam to the cigarret lighter or directly to the fuse 46 via fuse tap? It should not make a difference, right?
Do you have a Blendmount (blendmount.com) for your radar detector yet? I love mine - really helps keep it out of the way and the rear view mirror power tap works perfectly.
Sorry it's not more 'professional' but hopefully it saved you a trip to the dealer for something which anyone should be able to do themselves. Thanks for your feedback.
This is described in the text for this video: Here is a view of the fuse assignments on this sedan. This is NOT located in your owners manual (as it would be on any other normal vehicle). You can find this as a small paper folded up inside the fuse box located on the right side of the trunk (behind a small felt removable panel). www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid%3D2634227%26stc%3D1%26d%3D1624550462&imgrefurl=g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t%3D1836637&tbnid=vvwYMklz5OEKXM&vet=1&docid=aDntlhH2apX_zM&w=811&h=823&source=sh/x/im
I spent two hours putting the plastic back. Horrible design. The main problem was to align it correct and only then you can screw those plastic bolts back 😢

Where did you buy the fuse to replace it?
@@JoeL-dp1ej You can get the fuses at any local auto parts store or online.

Great video but now I’m struggling to put that stupid plastic piece back

@@AJimDoe I’m glad I wasn’t the only one 😂
I tried again. And now I learned you have to properly align that plastic cover and then it’s easy to lock it back. 😅
