I have been looking everywhere for this specific thing and I'm so happy you made this!! I create How To Sew guides and I needed to create custom bullets/numerical points for every step in the guide. I didn't want to use just boring bold numbers.
Wonderful, thank you! Very satisfying result, worth the effort. By the way; Fontello has the custom font name box you can fill in. That makes it more structured in your fonts archive.
Wow, thank you so much!! If you want a more in-depth video on how to use Fontself, here's my tutorial! ruclips.net/video/Uw3GhctBZj8/видео.html (I think this bullet points one only touches on what Fontself can do).
Sure, you could create something in Illustrator and turn it into a font...then use it in InDesign. If you mean an actual graphic style (Illustrator window/panel), I can't imagine how that would work.
Hi, Thanks for the amazing video! Quick question, when I'm done with everything, I wanna put it as a bullet point in InDesign but when I do this, it becomes way to big. What is the reason for this?
This most likely depends on the size of the original bullet you made in Fontself or Fontello. I would figure out what size you want it...maybe 1/4 the size it is? Then reduce it by that much and re-create the font.
can you answer a question? I'm working on a Blister Package INSERT CARD Design in Illustrator But I need to print it in the rounded corner the final document is ready but how I will be able to get a rounded corner CARD for Print? or I have to consult a publishing company to tell that I need Rounded Corner? I have search through the Internet but no Idea. Can you help? Quick?
Yes, you can create the card with square edges, and a printer will cut the round corners in. I would give 2 files - one with square corners, and one with a line showing the rounded edge you want. Also definitely call them.
Hi Anne, this is amazing! Thanks! I do have an unrelated question with nowhere else to turn. I’m wondering the best way to set up a booklet in InDesign. I’m making a sort of directory for a client and it will be alphabetical scanned business cards but they will be adding new business cards along the way. Is there a way to set it up in InDesign where it would be easy to add a ‘middle of the alphabet’ business into it without having to manually rearrange all the cards after? Does that make sense? Thanks!
If you're only needing to put 1 business card per page, you can easily insert a page with one business card. But I'm guessing you want many per page, right?
Does this work the same with numerical lists? Could I make custom vector numbers that look stylized and then use them like a font in the same way I would use 1,2,3 and so on?
I have only one question. First time i did worked perfectly and downloaded the font with the name fontello but now i want to use another design it also again downloads with same name. How can i change the font name?

Or change the size of the character style in which you set the bullet. That’s separate from the bullet’s paragraph style
Great video! Out of curiosity, why do the svgs have to be compound paths?
Compound paths help the software see a bunch of shapes as just one shape, if that makes sense.
You're so pretty!!
Ha, thanks!

Hi, yes, you can do a Mail Merge! I've done it before, but only once, but I might relearn it so I can make a video about it!

Graphic Design How To Yes!! Video please!! Thanks for your reply!
yes, multiple her page
@@laurad.1178 ok!! The only problem is, I won't be able to make it for a couple weeks! I'm so slammed right now!!
Hi, can we do this for Numberings (customized circle with number inside it) ??
It looks like the best way is with a paragraph style: creativepro.com/creating-number-circles/
Does this work the same with numerical lists? Could I make custom vector numbers that look stylized and then use them like a font in the same way I would use 1,2,3 and so on?
You would probably need to make a font where Illustrator could recognize them as 1,2,3, etc. I use Fontself for this - it's not free, though.
I have only one question. First time i did worked perfectly and downloaded the font with the name fontello but now i want to use another design it also again downloads with same name. How can i change the font name?
On the top right, next to the Download button, there's a place where you can enter a font name.
