Canelo basically ran into a prime version of Triple G. Only bigger and with better defense. His power shots had little to no effect and Bivol was just too good at countering. Credit to Canelo for taking on the challenge otherwise.

Bivol almost got screwed. I think Canelo got 5 rounds on all scorecards despite being outlanded like 2 to 1.
He almost got screwed. Round 1 and probably Round 9 and if you're generous give Canelo another one round from 2nd to 5th.
I can't see it any higher than 9-3. And if someone hops off Canelo's D on a daily basis then he'll score it 8-4 at best.
7-5 is simply impossible
The problem I had with Canelo is that since he moved up weight classes he rely too much of his power shots which caused him to gassed out quicker. he should have throw more volume punches especially when he had Bivol against the ropes.
He was also affective whenever he uses his jab but he didn’t used it as often in this fight which I was pretty disappointed with.
If he does not fix this issue the next time if he does faces bivol again then it’s another bad night for Canelo.
Bivol didn't get out of 4th gear. No version of Canelo will ever win, Bivol has his number! I see Canelo getting stopped in a rematch. He was hurt in this fight multiple times, most evident when he was calling Bivol to the ropes because he was dazed and his legs were gone and he didn't want to move cause he may have stumbled and tripped over, so he pretended to invite Bivol in but it was to mask the fact he was actually hurt.

Bivol is a pure boxer and pure boxers are not known to have explosive KO power. Bivol failed to KO Canelo in their first fight even with his advantages over Canelo. There’s many times that Bivol stunned Canelo but failed to finished.
Bivol had the stylistic advantage because Canelo is a boxer puncher and bivol is pure boxer. Boxer punchers don’t throw a lot of punches each round, because they usually wait until their opponent comes forward and counterattack. But that won’t work against a pure boxer because they won’t come forward, they’ll just hit and play defensively.
Basically Pure boxer > Boxer puncher > Pressure fighter, and Pressure fighter > pure boxer. Canelo has to play the role of a pressure fighter and throw more volume punches in order to have success in their second clash.
@@real_g3099 What adjustments? lol He had 12 rounds to adjust and was made to look like an amatuer that couldn't figure out how to break through Bivols defense. Canelo did the same thing over and over, his lack of IQ was exposed by Bivol. Canelo's carbon copy style didn't work against Bivol, thus why Canelo always choosing the styles he can beat. This was a cherry pick gone wrong! Canelo got owned and SHUT DOWN and bullied, case closed. You are funny! No adjustments will matter. His feet are too slow in comparison. You Canelitas are delusional. Canelo was hurt several times in that fight and Bivol wasn't even trying. I bet you a spence fan and believe Spnece was darined or let me guess the rib gate saga. lol
As we saw in the recent Bivol fight against Lyndon, he fails to press the action even when outclassing his opponent. Even if Bivol schools Canelo even worse the second time, I doubt he'll go for a finish. @@real_g3099

Well, he don't want that Bivol smoke anymore and fights much easier opponents. It's not rocket science. It was not a terrible performance btw, he fought pretty much the same way against everyone since he moved up to 168. Bivol just the best opponent he faced in years.
