      @nlcrr1617 4 месяца назад +55

      @supremercommonder why would he have to fight Joshua again when he's already schooled him twice? The point of a trilogy is that the first 2 were close. Usyk won almost every round.
      You act as if he's been in the heavyweight division his whole career. He's had 6 fights in the division, 4 of which are championship fights and 3 are defenses. If he retires at 40 with 2 title defences each year then he'd be undisputed in two weight divisions, clearing them both out with 10 defences all whilst undefeated.
      This is what should happen now. Fury rematch -> mandatory defense for the rest unless someone new comes up. His mandatories are likely to include Parker and maybe Zhang and Wilder if they aren't too old by then. 2 more years of title defenses against contenders and he would've solidified himself as top 10 or top 5 heavyweights of all time, top 15 boxers of all time. He doesn't even need to go to 40 years old

    my question is just what else could he have even possibly done during his career to elevate himself further. essentially nothing. He's beaten everyone he could have fought and hes already went up a weightclass and still dominated. what else could the man even do at this point, theres no more weight classes to go up to. If you believe fury is a top 10 heavyweight, then I can't see a world where usyk isnt, and isnt higher on the list. to me it really seems like people have overlooked a possible top 5 boxer (not heavyweight, boxer) of all time because the story doesnt feel anywhere near as appealing as other greats. undefeated two division undisputed champion with arguably the hardest division jump possible, hes that guy.

  • @efrazdede
    @efrazdede 4 месяца назад +16

    I am following him since the Muhammad Ali cup, I revisited his old fights and still watching him. He is something else, out of place. I am not even talking about his sheer will, his uncomprehensible mastery, his cat-like agility or his ability to soak punches. No his speed. I mean he is unbelievably fast. He is a heavyweight trained alongside lightweights. Tyson is a legendary fighter too and he is fast too. But he is fast for a heavyweigth. Usyk was called "he is too fast for cruiserweight" back in the day. Always, in all matches. Even Tony Bellew told this before the fight. I bet most heavyweights he fought(including his amateur carrier Joe Joyce for example) to this day did not understand what happened to them. Because it needs another level of speciality to entirely analyse his game. I watched and read those, everybody thinks he is a Grand Master. I am not tripping. Because he really is something else. Because he is not just fast. He is conciously fast. He is a master level boxer. He is in ful control of his speed. He is precise.
    He is an all time great. I've no doubt about that. And his style must be studied.
    And plus he showed us; in boxing skill beats all. Not size as long as two people are "around" the similar weightclasses ofcourse, not punching power. They all matter ofcourse. But if there is a skill gap between such two people; then on paper, better boxing mastery has the edge. Not the other way around. I told this for months to everyone, no one listened. They said "yeah he is good but AJ/Fury/XXX is too big, "at a certain level" size really really matters. That's why there are weight classes" blah blah :) Naaah, not really. Skill beats size is all. Usyk proved that very clearly.

    He’s definitely up there. He fought the best available, usually in their own backyards. He always looked good doing it, too. Never got into putting his foot in his mouth like a lot of other boxers, either. In this era, winning isn’t enough much of the time. You have to win unquestionably, and even then, the judges may still try and screw you. One judge tried with the Fury fight.

    He's on the brink of top 10 hw of all time, he needs a couple more wins though. Fury and aj are great wins. Tyson, ali, holyfield, foreman etc have done more than him though. He should fight the winner of dubois and hrgovich next. Unless dubois wins, then he could fight kabayel

  • @goastlyarrowplays
    @goastlyarrowplays 4 месяца назад +3

    I think he had the skill to be one of the GOATS, but the era he resides in just doesn’t give boxers the opportunity to. He just doesn’t have enough fights with the best of the bests, not that he doesn’t want to fight the best, but because it’s just to hard to make the fights.

    • @moisesvirgen7711
      @moisesvirgen7711 4 месяца назад

      What other best of the best does he need to fight? Wilder? Andy Ruiz? No one’s beating him besides Fury, who also took his FIRST L vs Usyk. Unless beterbiev or JAI move up to make a mega fight but I still got Usyk smoking them. No other HW beating him unless Usyk becomes old over night

    • @goastlyarrowplays
      @goastlyarrowplays 4 месяца назад

      @@moisesvirgen7711 I’m not saying he’s ass, I’m saying the era that he fights in will be frowned upon, thus putting into question how great he actually was. We know we was the shit, but will the future be able to see that is the question.

    Okay I read coupa comments and here it is I believe:
    Usyk is no HW GOAT, he is no natural HW, he is 4-5 years in the division,
    Usyk is all times great if we talking about BOXING, regardless of weight category,
    He violated every top boxer, every champ in the most interesting and prestige 2 weight TOP categories,
    Usyk is undeniably greatest boxer of all time.
