Any chance you could come up with a solution to emulators not running right on ccgtv . All I get is the old ( you don't have an app that can do this )

Great stuff! I'd love to know how you found out that the additional user was preventing moving data to the usb drive. That alone saved hours of head scratching across the community.
Following the adb commands allowed my file explorer to just recognise the usb drive as internal storage...now I have a device with over 30gb storage which is plenty of space as I only run minimal apps on it. Great tips as always. Thankyou.

Troy thank you brother had been trying to figure this out couldn’t move apps not only did you help me get this fixed it also fixed issue on the Tivimate app for changing the recordings folder to usb it now lets me change folder thank you!! You’re the best!!!!

I Have the SanDisk 256 gb storage never had issues only issue using the external storage is doesn't allow you to update the Android Ststem Webview app easy fix you just need to turn off the force allow the apps on external in the developer option settings section it's the 2nd one from the bottom than you can update the app than just have to remember to turn the force allow apps on external back on .

Hello, don't think there has been a solution as the local ADB is not completely disabled. TROYPOINT is no longer recommending Fire TV products. There are too many better Android TV/Google TV alternatives where we don't need to play their games.

Tried this, my chromecast is connected via ethernet using the official Google adaptor, but the otg cable doesn't carry a hard wired ethernet signal. I won't give up a good Internet speed to get extra storage, shame though..

How do you move the cursor around? I cant clickmon any of the troybox links because the Chromecast cursor only goes from corner to corner.
Hello, this is usually due to having your transition settings set to off in Developer options. Go into Settings / Developer Options and change all of them to .5 and that should fix the problem.

Hmmm I just tried this and for whatever reason after the migrating seemed to be going on, it eventually went back to the previous screen where you select to migrate and then when I select it again i get the same error that it couldn't migrate :( Any idea what to try now?

Hi I have got this working to an extent. However when I turn off USB debugging and restart. The drive isn't recognised. Only when I unplug the power and reconnect it. Then it connects back up. I have followed the instructions so can't understand why I'm having this problem. Anyone else had this issue?

Yes, but doesn't work as good as Android TV/Google TV as we can't toggle the button that forces apps to external in dev options. This means that most apps can't be moved over to the USB drive unless developer of app declares support for it which most don't. But, anything that is sideloaded can be moved. $20 onn box in USA can do this. Lots of folks buy cheap and find out later. Chromecast is $30 in USA
