- With an increase in motorcyclist deaths across the province, police are urging motorcyclists to take extra precautions. Maleeha Sheikh takes a look at the rise in fatalities and the tips to stay safe.
My neighbour has a motorcycle and revs it every night with other groups of rider, waking people up. This news brought joy to me.

I have the same issue with screaming kids and barking dogs. My home is a "quiet" zone. I expect the same from neighbours. They never hear my motorcycle or car.
@@achristian7015 the only time my neighbor hear me is when i hurt myself on the furniture. i have arthritis and it fooking hurts.
The noise they make ripping around on the highway and the streets is the worse, and then there are ones that clearly have some type of illegal exhaust that sound like they are straight from mad max. I'm sure it feels awesome on the bike, but ffs have some courtesy for the rest of the population.
I agree with you, I find the loud bikes really annoying. The big advantage to a loud bike is people know you're there. My wife and I ride a Honda Rebel which is quite quiet but I've had other drivers change into my lane without shoulder checking, forcing me to evade. I still prefer the quiet ride but it keeps your head on a swivel.

Stop driving like a lunatic. Problem solved. Just because your bike goes 300 km/hr doesn't mean you need to drive that fast. The average driver isn't expecting you to go from 1/4 mile behind them to beside them in 2 seconds.

I drive both 2 and 4 wheels and many car drivers have no judgement and are clueless as they are on their mobile phones.
so treat the bad drivers with respect because youre the one who will suffer.
Motocyclists don't need any help. They are dumb enough to cause their own deaths.

Drive/Ride fast and/or recklessly and face consequences. It's that simple.
People don't watch for motorcycles and they become very aggressive when you ride near them on the road. I've personally had many people lock eyes and speed out of a parking lot to cut me off. Essentially when riding we need to be the brains for ourselves and for the other vehicles on the road. Don't assume or expect any form of common sense or courtesy
More like don't expect anyone to be able to see you. Isn't that what they tell you when getting your license - ride like no one can see you?
@@jonjonson5730 that can help too. People are incredibly ignorant out there though. So you need to ride expecting no common courtesy and that everyone wants to see you wipe out.
You sure? Some drive near me when walking or when playing Pokémon Go in safe lane as if they want to bump me and break my hips.
I have been on every kind of bike since 83 in over a dozen country's. Never down and no many close calls. Have a plan Keep moving
I see very poor examples of poor, new riders, no gloves, no neck swevel and poor lane ( a,b,c ) position and to fast.
As for the cars, on phones, on phones, on phones..

Well yeah cause the idiots killing them or pedestrians turn left without stopping at any sign light or onterchange where onenis supposed to yield or move wheb it is safe to do so and only then. A vehicle or motorcycle goes 100m in two seconds so there's the problem.

More people are riding now a days due to high gas prices, that may be a cause as well.

This is a good news story.. I have ridden for 45 years and use caution, wear appropriate gear and have a QUIET machine.. A Holes with loud bikes that fit their lack of manhood or idiot crotch rocket riders that don’t have the balls to take it to a race track.. well.. like l said, one less goof !
