My mother, now passed, was 92 when she died. She was old school in every sense. Impeccably dressed. Perfect manners. Very focused on helping others.... anyway my point is, she ALWAYS carried a little book about Marcus Aurelius. So you're in good company mate. Nice memories. Thanks
Great to hear from you Evan, and even better to hear about your mother. It sounds like she was quite a remarkable lady, I am sure you make her proud. Thank you so much for sharing that, it is comments like this that make it all worth it. Onwards and upwards my friend. Best regards, TGV

But it doesn't mean we are inferior in our thinking about honour and respect. Qualities which seem to be vanishing. Thank you for restoring my faith in human nature. 🙏
My first EDC bag when I was an apprentice in a British West Midlands Car parts factory was an Army surplus gas mask bag with a pack of Sandwiches in. I'm glad to say times have changed.
Your videos are great to unwind at the end of the day with, been watching you from the start, going back to this video to hear the Italian names you speak 👍
Satchel and Page is also really good. They put a padded, suede laptop sleeve in the middle of the brief so that the zippers never touch your device. Leather is really high quality. Tempted by a CF though now too.
I always carry a little sewing kit, the ones they leave you in hotels. Needle, thread, white button and pins. Knife wise being UK it’s a Victorinox Cybertool (non locking sub 3inch) the screwdrivers are superb.
I literally laughed out loud! Having an Italian spouse I can relate to the "Italian in the morning, English in the afternoon" line. Great vid! Never leave home without my Swisscard. Thanks for a truly entertaining, informational and insperational channel. Ciao.

love your videos sir, your outlook on life and the standards you hold yourself to is a rare thing in this day and age. Thank you for showing the rest of us how it's done, you are a gentleman and a scholar!
Good gentleman's carry bag! Unfortunately I'm in a bit too much of a rough and tumble lifestyle at the moment so my own edc is a wee bit more coarse. Flashlight, benchmade knife, seiko alpinist, hellbent holsters combat wallet 3.0, and a g19 or cz p10c in a trex arms sidecar running a tlr1 weapon light. Yeah I edc a gun, no you won't change my mind on that, no I dont wanna fight or have a discussion about it! Good vid mate, and cheers
Hahaha, I'd love to swap watches perhaps lol, but I've put a lot of love and expense into my current setup so I'll just keep it to myself thank you very much :P
I left benchmade behind, I’ve had several of thier knives that were not QCed.. I switch between ZTs, Rick hinders, and Chris reeves..... on another note, how do you like the side car?? I have a QVO wingman for my gen 5 19.. that’s good but the multicam cordura is starting to come off as I sweat on it..
Nice leatherman. I haven't used a penknife since I was a teenager, around that time knives started to become demonized so I just didn't own a pocket knife for many years... until! - I bought a small Victorinox on holiday as a souvenir - the same as the one you have on your key ring. I'd forgotten just how useful they are, including the scissors, tweezers and screwdriver. So, I bought the Victorrinox 'Hunstman' - a real classic, in the original red and it stays in my pocket. (What a rebel!). It's legal in the uk, being less than the prescribed legal length and non-lockable. Red's a good colour choice to because it's hopfully immediately recognisable for what it is. Obviously I don't have it with me when I go out disco dancing or start playing with it on a bus!
My EDC consists of G26, or S&W Sheild 9mm in Concealment Express kydex holsters. Kershaw Scallion knife, Streamlite 1le flashlight, Seiko PADI Turtle, Maxpidition Micro wallet. I keep it simple.
If you're into retro gaming, look into the GPD XD Plus. It's an android-based handheld with almost the exact same dimensions of the Nintendo 3DS XL but runs various emulators - it will even play Nintendo DS ROMs perfectly (but not 3DS ROMs).
My EDC consists of a FMF wallet, Casio G-Shock Rangeman, CRKT M21-14G, Maglite XL50 LED light, a can of Grizzly chewing tabacco, a pair of nitrile gloves and work gloves, and a bandana. I work as a school custodian, so i dont need a bag for everyday, i do have B.O.Bes in my trucks tho.
Wow, that is an epic loadout! I ordered some of the recommended tea and Meditations. But one epic thing he is missing is a fine handgun! I get it that it's NY, but still I can't imagine a true gentleman going about his daily business without being able to protect what's most important to him. I personally carry a Walther P99C, in the appendix position.
@@m.o.5291 gentlemen literally means a person who can bear arms but isn't from a noble family. Not sure why being able to defend yourself is offensive...? A man should have the ability to defend his lived ones. This is chivalry.
Have you considered looking into any types of pomades instead of using the gel? They can have many benefits over the gel such as not hardening in your hair and can be quite nourishing for your hair as well. Or you could even use a more traditional types that might suit you better with how you enjoy things having a heritage behind them. Forgive me if it something you have already looked into and didn't like especially with oil based pomades they do not wash out easily. But there are many now adays to choose from to suit everyone it seems.
Back in my business office networking days I used to carry this Cross Silver Rollerball pen. I would lose the pen or dent the pen every 6 months. So that pen era ended up being a much more expensive pen. Lol. Now I like the Zebra all metal pen ballpoint. Beefy enough, cost effective, makeshift tactical pen as needed etc. lol. Also not in that community anymore lol.
Dumb question for a newbie to ur channel but what do u think of watch gang or clubs like that? R they a tip off or worth it? I highly value ur opinion love the channel and thanks again keep up the great work
TGV, i’m sorry but I just don’t get the Royal Oak just does nothing for me but if it’s your bag then go for it but please explain to me what it is about that watch that you and others like it so much… To me it looks dated.
Highly recommended is the Leatherman Tread - a multi tool that's worn as a bracelet so its always with you & doesn't take up pocket or bag space. I've worn mine for over a year & its helped me out of many situations. Cheers 👍👍
Haven't tried Floris, but I will give it a try. Have you tried Fragonard? First found it in the late 90's on a high school trip to Paris. I wear Fragonard F! now days. But if I'm sailing, the only cologne that is pungent enough to cover the smell of gin and rum is old spice. Have nothing to say negative about the bag, it looks very nice. I just prefer something with a shoulder strap myself so I can keep my tea hand and my phone hand free. They are a bit overpriced and pretty kitsch-y, but the field notes I've found don't get crumpled up in my bag because of the thicker front and back covers. I now have a waxed leather holder for it with a pen loop so I stop losing my parker as I have the same problem as you. Keeps them all together. Also as a macbook user, amazon has USB-C/USB-A double sided Thumb drives that make it easier to transfer files without the need for a dongle and fit on a keychain. Not sure how new your macbook is, but it's saved my life a few times when I forgot my dongle in my hotel room.(go ahead and giggle folks, real mature)
You missed out headache medicine - as a teacher I find soluble paracetamol invaluable as I get throat infections. Two birds with one stone. Keep up the good work TGV.
Good morning! Of course, Sydney, it's evening here in NYC, I toast my supper vino to you and hope you have a great day! Thank you Joshua, Best regards, TGV
I only carry a holdall for weekenders. Beyond the obvious i only carry a phone charger & sunglasses. I have on occasion carried a second watch but i'd rather not tempt fate.
My first time commenting after watching many of your videos on RUclips. Own a Seiko 5 wristwatch and various Casio's over the years, never thought to be spending over a hundred or so pounds on a watch when the Seiko does it all with aplomb! You do seem to like your brand's on watches and clothes etc etc Do like the channel and some of its content, do wish you would comment in dollars and pounds sterling.. Well done and keep "carrying on" 😉
Hello TGV, I would love to have the Palissy weekend bag but being 18 I don't go to any fancy places or go anywhere enough to use one. Do you have any suggestions to other bags of similar style as a more appropriate alternative?
This has inspired me to ensure I always carry my essentials.. I have many things that would come in useful, but I hardly ever have them with me!! I shall start today!! Great Video TGV. 👍👍 BMJ ENGLAND
Deodorant, perfume, face wash, hairbrush, senheizer earphones, pens - black, blue and red, mint, a couple of essential medicines, house & bike keys and post it are my EDC....
Hello, this is a bit off topic but could you recommend me a watch below $1000 with a clean dial and without any number or date functions? I just discovered my passion for this hobby and would like to start off with a watch like that. Your channel stands out as one of the most educated in this field, any tip short or long would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hey TGV, another great video. I'd recommend that you need a RAID NAS as a more secure reliable network storage solution to replace all the LaCie drives. A Synology RAID could be connected to anywhere in the world.
Thanks for the video TGV 👍. I guess that Omega Speedmaster unboxing really turned out to be expensive! Like your appreciation for quality materials. Regards
Thanks for sharing your EDC - Sachel Edition, Tristano. Good taste on Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. His wisdom and Stoic principles are timeless. You said not to laugh, but I couldn't help but chuckle when you went from a "prissy" felt bag, and brought out the Super Mario bags. Love the duality here with the $500 designer leather case and Rolex on one side, while rocking the G-Shock and Nintendo/Super Mario gear on the other. A gentleman without presumption, through and through.
I love your reviews on CF. I have searched everywhere and its not many who show them of like you do. Im on my way on ordering some items because of your wonderful reviews! About the sleeve for macbook pro 15 inch. Does it fit a 2015 model too or only 2016 model? Keep the good work up!
I subscribed like yesterday and realized I have already fully watched 8 to 10 of videos...Also please, how much does your everyday items you carry , weight?
I had no idea they made those! FANTASTIC!!! Thank you so much, I am still using my Japanese one. I will deffo check the Paerker out, thanks again Owen, Thank you, Best regards, TGV
WOAH! MUSIC GIGS? WHAT DO YOU DO!? OR HAVE DONE?? I play guitar so I'm interested. And I thought your coolness couldn't reach a higher peak! Haha cheers buddy! AHHHH SHIT! AND YOU JUST PULLED OUT MEDITATIONS! hahaha top notch!
Tea . When I was sick as a child my Grandmother used to pour gallons of Earl Grey down me. It cured the illness but I developed a lifelong hatered of Tea.
It's funny watching this how many people carry similar items daily, 'just in case'... 9 times out of 10 I could leave the house with nothing but myself and the contents of my pockets and be just fine... But every day I take a bag with all sorts of stuff in 😂 Different but the same in many ways! Cool video 📹
Mine normally consists of... 5.11 rush 24 back pack Spare watch, usually Garmin fenix 3 (+ HRM) Leatherman Wave Water bottle currently a Thermos Hydration 15000 MaH battery for emergency charging Cable assortment Phone, currently Sony z5 compact Tablet, currently Sony z3 compact (depends where I'm going) Headphones, Marley earbuds Gore-Tex jacket (always) Small Down jacket (season depending) I use a canoe bag to line the main compartment Note pad and assorted pens Permanent marker Plenty of room for extra bits if I'm going overnight or require specific clothing for the day 👌
Checkout the memobottles, its a very portable strong plastic water bottle. I have the a6 and a7 sizes and they're great. You can also buy leather cases for them on their website. I also carry a small usb power bank to charge my phone on the go, because my phone always runs out battery >.< and my kindle paperwhite. Funny, i also do the same with my sample cologne bottles.
I should really read Perfume the novel as well as Meditations. Perfume the film was fantastic! Very cool bits and bobs in your EDC, TGV. Love the safety pin and all the practical little things!
Just read a buncha comments. All these guys reacting to a Classic briefcase/bag and not mentioning the Mario zip bags! LOL! I've lugged some kind of cordura style briefcase every time I leave the house my whole adult life. Lighter and more pliable and storable than leather. Leather way more stylish though. Great Vid. (And carry a teeth brush fer cryin' out loud!)
TGV you should really think about setting up a NAS (with raid 6 -google it!) to replace some of those hard drives and keep everything safe in one place and redundant to disk failure!
These external hard drives are like super expensive! You should consider spending some money to buy internal hard drives for your pc,which you can use with your macbook via an app or service. It will be cheaper and possibly quicker
It goes to space. My guess it's not any kind of Speedmaster. That would be to easy, same with Fortis, we had that to often. So it may be a Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph. Worn on the moon on the 2 of August in 1971with the Apollo 15 Mission. The watch was designed as a Moonwatch but never got the reputation the Omega got may be because it costs way less.
Does John Keil work for the urban gentry or is watch gauge owned by the urban gentry? Just wondering as I see Spanish Rob posting on IG about doing a video with the urban gentry but it's just with John Keil of watch gauge.
Hey Gent! I also do not do the backpack, and so many designers are giving their rendition of the "backpack"and no matter how stylish they make them it is still a backpack! Lol... I just think no matter what thier aesthetic ,they give off the "kid going to school" look. Cheers from Philadelphia Brian

I’m disappointed I expected at bag full of watches 😂
LOL, almost!

Most welcome.

Thanks for the video TGV 👍. I guess that Omega Speedmaster unboxing really turned out to be expensive! Like your appreciation for quality materials.
Regards
Haha, very warm indeed. Well, I can say that Speedy certainly did have something to do with the decision.
Thank you Koen,
Best regards,
TGV
Love the Hannibal Lector LEGO key chain
Thanks for sharing your EDC - Sachel Edition, Tristano. Good taste on Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. His wisdom and Stoic principles are timeless. You said not to laugh, but I couldn't help but chuckle when you went from a "prissy" felt bag, and brought out the Super Mario bags. Love the duality here with the $500 designer leather case and Rolex on one side, while rocking the G-Shock and Nintendo/Super Mario gear on the other. A gentleman without presumption, through and through.
HelloTGV. I see that you are ready to survive in a zombie attack!!. Nice video as usual.
As always, great video Tristano!
What do you think of the Tissot Le Locle Valjoux Chronograph? I’m looking for a classy-looking automatic chronograph! Cheers.
I subscribed like yesterday and realized I have already fully watched 8 to 10 of videos...Also please, how much does your everyday items you carry , weight?
Ahhhh, so good to be watching your video's again. I have a lot of catching up to do. Cheers!
Bought the Carl Friedrik bag on your recommendation, it really is fantastic and I've received several compliments on it.
You should defiantly add a Parker Jotter mechanical pencil, I got mine about a week ago and it is wonderful to use.
I had no idea they made those! FANTASTIC!!! Thank you so much,
I am still using my Japanese one. I will deffo check the Paerker out, thanks again Owen,
Thank you,
Best regards,

Although I understand NY city has its restrictions, am I the only person who's bummed that he didn't present a Walther PPK?
😂😂
WOAH! MUSIC GIGS? WHAT DO YOU DO!? OR HAVE DONE?? I play guitar so I'm interested. And I thought your coolness couldn't reach a higher peak! Haha cheers buddy! AHHHH SHIT! AND YOU JUST PULLED OUT MEDITATIONS! hahaha top notch!
Enjoyed the video TGV. I'm a big fan of the Colareb watch bands. Pure class!
I always have my watch, wallet, sunglasses, folding knife and gun.
A nice aesthetic travel atomiser
Marcus Aurelius Meditations is a classic. Great Video T!
Tea . When I was sick as a child my Grandmother used to pour gallons of Earl Grey down me. It cured the illness but I developed a lifelong hatered of Tea.
Didn't expect to see a 3DS in there haha. Love mine too, so easy to pick up and put down to maintain productivity compared to consoles.
What kind of watch winder is that? Are they really worth it?
A 3ds, a Casio and a Rolex whaaaa you’re awesome!
Joshi! Great to hear from you old friend.
Too kind sir, too kind :D
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
It's funny watching this how many people carry similar items daily, 'just in case'... 9 times out of 10 I could leave the house with nothing but myself and the contents of my pockets and be just fine... But every day I take a bag with all sorts of stuff in 😂
Different but the same in many ways!
Cool video 📹
Mine normally consists of...
5.11 rush 24 back pack
Spare watch, usually Garmin fenix 3 (+ HRM)
Leatherman Wave
Water bottle currently a Thermos Hydration
15000 MaH battery for emergency charging
Cable assortment
Phone, currently Sony z5 compact
Tablet, currently Sony z3 compact (depends where I'm going)
Headphones, Marley earbuds
Gore-Tex jacket (always)
Small Down jacket (season depending)
I use a canoe bag to line the main compartment
Note pad and assorted pens
Permanent marker
Plenty of room for extra bits if I'm going overnight or require specific clothing for the day 👌
Checkout the memobottles, its a very portable strong plastic water bottle.
Thank you Katrina, always appreciated.
I had no idea it was a film, right, off to Netflix!
Best regards,
TGV
The Urban Gentry Oh man, you are in for a treat! (Assuming it's on Netflix, but I'm not sure 😂) feels like a film that's right up your alley. Enjoy! 😎
My bag- Chrome Industries Soma sling. Inside... Kevlar sleeves, leather gloves, Patagonia rain jacket, tape measure, a Steamlight microstream, a Benchmade 940, 2 Sharpies, and 3 bottles of Mountain Dew.
Best knife ever made - Benchmade 940.
Do you use a wrist compass? I find that I would need one when following gmaps on my phone!
I thoroughly recommend matcha green tea.
Love the new watch. I have an Aerospace with a very similar face.
Haha, warm, very warm ;-)
Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
Hi TGV
So you don’t remember the bar - that’s a good sign😊
Keep up the good work👍
Does John Keil work for the urban gentry or is watch gauge owned by the urban gentry? Just wondering as I see Spanish Rob posting on IG about doing a video with the urban gentry but it's just with John Keil of watch gauge.
Hey Gent! I also do not do the backpack, and so many designers are giving their rendition of the "backpack"and no matter how stylish they make them it is still a backpack! Lol... I just think no matter what thier aesthetic ,they give off the "kid going to school" look.
Cheers from Philadelphia
Brian
Very well observed and said.
Thank you Brian,
Best regards,

Awesome video as always TGV! And of course, your EDC is pure class. Thank you for sharing! All the best!
