This video contains most of the stuff, I discovered during the routing process of my Tom Clancy´s Splinter Cell speedrun. Credit for the shortcut at 2:37 goes to Briensturm, nice discovery!
Unfortunately some tricks and glitches aren´t possible anymore in the steam version of the game. Furthermore a few softlocks led into weird rendering results, so I decided to go without them.
I can´t promise anything, but I´m planning on uploading more speedruns in the future. Thanks for all the positive feedback! :)

I think I now know why they removed the wall jump from later games.

more like, now I REALLY don't understand why they didn't keep it, the games could've had such a much longer relevancy time finding weird skips and glitches.

Well, the most obvious function of this is to prevent you climbing up there before recording the conversation. Possibly they also had that walljump in mind, but I doubt it. :)

If you use your disposable pick on the door below the window as soon as you enter the courtyard, you can kill the 3 men inside without them reacting since their AI only loads after the elevator conversation.
I think its just that if you go below a certain height you get game over, or if your character touches the ground floor

This video has showed me that the Return to Chinese Embassy clearly has the best glitches out of any level in any Splinter Cell game.

I guess I can be proud. After watching this whole video & another one from another user. I have yet to see the "glitch" I discovered. In Presidential Palace. IF U go backwards after one of those battles when they turn the guitar solo on. lol. You'll find Kombayne Nikoladze just chillin' ALL BY HIMSELF, in a dark room. U can see him. but. He's invisible as far as touching. lol Surprised to not see it here. Dude made a straight MOCKERY of one of my fav all time games. lol. & I loved it. 😂

I remembered watching this last years? I don't know when since i played splinter original on PS2. I had tried some of this when i saw this. And i'm grateful about this video and watched it that year. 😍
if you press the quick inventory button before you interact with anything, like picking up a body, you will be able to move around as you have your inventory open. i froze my game by using a medkit after i died. just found this today

I just watched your original Splinter Cell speedrun and loved it. If you do another one, and you don't care about the order you play them, I would love to see Chaos Theory.

If I had recently known this was a glitch I would've used it just a normal run of that part, those guards were a pain once you get Dougherty. Assuming it would work on the xbox version of courses.

This is what I do after beating the game, just going around and exploring and pranking the characters. I was able to find the "ghost" in the Cozumel level of Chaos Theory, in the extraction room with the boat, there's this one guy on radar, you can't see him, but you can hear him and shows up on radar. Fun times.

At 14:52 how are you able to sneak past the guard like that without him seeing you?
The guard is looking upwards and Sam is completely in the dark, that’s why 😂

at 4:49 I tried and it works, they are wines on the wall you can actually climb down and technically reach the ground safely, but the game is made to kill you when you reach it LOL

Random af question - do you recall spotting a pizza box in this game at all while jumping around? I found one in every splinter cell game except the first one.

At the beginning of mission 6; chinese embassy, there are walljumps you can perform to get ontop of the buildings. I can't remember if its possible on the pc version. i performed these on the NGC.

My wall jumps and climbing things is sooo slow or Sam always stands up on top of railings, I can never get any distance with jumps either - this has me thinking Im doing something really wrong

Good speedrunning tactics
It’s weird because in the Gamecube version at 18:49, that guard has a med kit on him lol. You’d have to do wall jumping and land on the edge on the map, plus another wall jump in order to reach it 🤷🏻♂️.
The ps2 and Gamecube versions were altered a bit, some of the level changes were kinda random.
The first one I'd seen before and most people don't talk to her they just run in and knock her out straight away

Mechanical Maniac... It was an XBOX game first and then the PC version came out a few months later. Then it was ported to PS2/GC a few months after the PC release.

(that’s not the right word but idk what he’s doing)

He shows how to get close to an enemy by jumping, which is funny and might be considered as a "glitch". He did that several times with different ending just for the fun of it. The last one when he's running around is the funniest.
