We need to be courageous and contemporary in our thinking, finding the stimulation and follow our passion without compromise, pushing boundaries which ultimately progresses to complete authenticity.
If we can be successful in this, we can create or surround ourselves with work that is an extension of our own unique self.

Feeling inspired by the methodical and restrained manner of laying down paint. Im always too impatient to plan & wait. Always learning. Thanks Stefan & great to see you !

Why did you add the two legs things in. What does it add to the painting?

I did actually add those as part of a number of works titled "Tablelands". Exploring the landscape becoming an object.

What was the significance of the sandpaper?

Good question. I felt the surface was to clean, smooth and wanted to create texture , which for me adds to the mood of the painting.

Do you mind sharing what papers you use? Thanks for the great video.

Sure, this one is made on a 300gsm Cold press paper. Medium texture. I work on Hot Press as well , also 300gsm. Different brands but usually Arches or Saunders.
