Never agreed with the stick he got after going to man it'd. Arsenal had no ambition to win the prem and under Wenger's last year's it was 4th is a trophy type of attitude. I was glad that a player of his fantastic striking ability won the prem.
Imagine having Van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and surrounding those 3 with average to below average players and wondering why Arsenal can't win the League. You get better CDM, CB, RW, and GK.
I think the reason why arsenal young team failed to win anything worthwhile is because wenger decided to bin senior players off too prematurely. Senior players like Vieira, Campbell, Lehmann, Cole, Henry, Pires, Gilberto were being allowed to go one by one every season eventhough the young players were still in great need of their guidance on the field. Even SAF always kept senior players in his team, like Schmeichel, Pallister, Cantona, McClair in the 90's and Giggs, Gary Neville, Scholes in the 2000's.
Disagree. The abuse he gets from Arsenal fans is a disgrace. Not how you treat a legend. Arsenal fans can't accept players leaving their club to win trophies. When he played for United he was so happy. Can see it everytime he played a scored, and when he won a PL winners medal with the fans singing his name. United legend. Not Arsenal
Different standards. United didn’t accept failure under Ferguson. Almost all players at United will say, at United, losing is not an option. Unlucky for Arsenal, you have one of the greatest strikers, even at that age, having that hunger and desire to win, and then you decide to sell him. I remember loving the idea of us having RVP, from the off it was "Wenger has fleeced United, they’ve paid silly money, they’ll never win the league with an an injury prone striker, on his way out". Won the league in his first season and I believe was the league’s top scorer. Love the guy.

2005/2006 24 (0) 5
2004/2005 26 (0) 5 Btw...a year later, arsenal win FA Cup in a row, well havent win premiership still....
To be fair, in his first couple of season, most of those appearances were as a substitute. Then Adebayor replaced him for a couple seasons as well. I think scoring over 100 goals with all his injury issues was still pretty impressive
I loved RVP at United but he's being dishonest about his second season after Sir Alex left. He was gutted SAF left and didn't try a fucking leg for Moyes as a result. I can understand him not trying for a dud like Moyes but he was still happy to pick up £150000 PW for doing nothing

Once a gunner always a gunner!! Except for Van Persie!! Pariah!! Mercenary!! Buzzard!!
I was shattered when he left Arsenal but he was right to leave...
Never agreed with the stick he got after going to man it'd. Arsenal had no ambition to win the prem and under Wenger's last year's it was 4th is a trophy type of attitude.
I was glad that a player of his fantastic striking ability won the prem.
LVG had made huge mistake that time. I was very disappointed that time. 😩😩
At the end of the day he did the right thing.
On my life, I’ve never held any anger towards him for leaving. I was angry at Wenger if anything…
Wonder of a left foot RVP, GGMU 😎
Man fck Van Gaal I want him soo bad not to leave back then wanna see his iconic more!!
He left because we are not ambitious.
Doing well for not being ambitious now!
@@STST at the time we weren't ambitious were we ....???
Lol funny comment
Imagine having Van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and surrounding those 3 with average to below average players and wondering why Arsenal can't win the League.
You get better CDM, CB, RW, and GK.
Back then we we're 3-4 players away now we are 12-13 players away ffs
I think the reason why arsenal young team failed to win anything worthwhile is because wenger decided to bin senior players off too prematurely. Senior players like Vieira, Campbell, Lehmann, Cole, Henry, Pires, Gilberto were being allowed to go one by one every season eventhough the young players were still in great need of their guidance on the field. Even SAF always kept senior players in his team, like Schmeichel, Pallister, Cantona, McClair in the 90's and Giggs, Gary Neville, Scholes in the 2000's.
Arsenal Legend RVP , you could have said that we would have understood ...Fans love honest players but their ego .......
Saving you 11 minutes:
The difference was a premier league trophy
You're welcome
The biggest difference between Man UTD and Arsenal...£50k per week. 😂😂😂
Oh and a PL title ;)
And ones a big club the other is a giant👍
50k per week difference? Lol thats tiny.
Some ppl take tough talk to an embarrassing level the way van Gaal spoke to rvp he sabotaged his career (van Gaal) himself
I find it really weird that he doesn’t mention wenger in the later years of his career only the beginning. It seems they had a massive falling out
Wipes out his arsenal career with 1 season at man utd
interesting that he is saying that Arsenal get an easy time from the media compared to Utd
Lot of it is that you were never a Man utd player but more like a rental while at arsenal you were always one of them. Hence the love.
no he isn't a rental he's a man utd legends and we all love him
If Sir Alex was there, that never would have happened.
He was a quicky though at Man U. Only 1 prolific season.
This dude is talking like he is goals machine god in his all time with arsenal
In his 8 seasons with arsenal, he only had 1 half seasons super performance, the rest is medioker to bad plague by injuries.
Seasons Apps (Subs) Goals
2011/2012 38 (1) 30
2010/2011 25 (6) 18
2009/2010 16 (2) 9
2008/2009 28 (4) 11
2007/2008 15 (2) 7
2006/2007 22 (5) 11
2005/2006 24 (0) 5
2004/2005 26 (0) 5
Btw...a year later, arsenal win FA Cup in a row, well havent win premiership still....
Arsenal didn't offer him a deal because he already decided to leave. He now blames someone new every time rather than admitting that it was his ego.
Was angry when he left Arsenal like how many others left. But can't blame these players for wanting to leave this mess. Look at Arsenal now, just pathetic. Atleast Arsenal had some great moments when those guys were playing
Up The Gunners!
TOP 3 STRIKERS For me; Etoo, Henry, RVP in that order.
Higher standards, how the tables have turned
Arsenal didn't offer you a deal because you already made it clear you wouldn't re-sign. What kind of nonsense is this. Just admit you left because you wanted to join a better team, not because of Arsenal's failure to offer you a new contract. Why would Arsenal force out the reigning player of the year and top scorer...
Why would Arsenal see Calum Chambers as a Premier League standard footballer?
£24m
He was our best player by then,,, how is it possible he was not offered a deal???
Also he says he wrote a letter saying " I am not staying".... doesn't add up, all the same he is a 🐍 🐍
Ivan was a prick at Arsenal. What I don’t understand is why didn’t wenger get rid of him or try to push him out the club ?
Humphreys with the tightest jeans known to man. The fuck is that fit
I thought RVP doesn't talk coz on pitch he used to be silent just playing
Line them up RVP 😂😂
Bless.
Arsenal is good club. One day they will come back and win titles for sure. They respect humans .it was Robin's wish to leave arsenal & London.
Maybe this year!
To think that was a fellow dutch man hurts big time!
He deserve it.
Would like to know the seven points
We did ask!
rb, lb, cb, cb, gk, cdm, chairman... 7 solid points
lvg was an idiot, period. fergie will never do what the former did. lvg not being a full professional player before might have contributed to that. part of that does echo what we are facing then with mou vs the present gaffer(" he will never go against the players" quote from a dude that ole is presently managing).
oh and by the way, go check out how ivan gazidis ran milan. same modus operandi. old players out.no matter what van persie did it didnt matter(gazidis's meeting with rvp revolving the 7 points feels almost like a disingenuous charade to me). board was just adament about letting him go(poor arsene though, trapped in the middle). given the kind of personality rvp has (frank, does not like politics, family orientated warmth, open, sometimes brash etc etc) it is no wonder he suddenly went bonkers momentarily and release that open letter.
United of the last 5 yrs have lowered standards
Glazer's have lowered standards to qualifying for champions league every season.
We sent RVP to Utd to nick us an EPL winner's medal.
