Wow! you really are special. I would never have thought it would be possible to work with bees at night the way you did. Keep up the excellent work and I'll definitely be following you from now on.
We have 27 hives, you calm and soft voice helps the bees stay calm also. My husband is a soft spoken man the bees love him too. great video!
Oh it looks like maybe they split again and some left with one of the many queens. Still awesome to have kept some of those wild girls.
And they will swarm again very soon.
Very nice young lady 👍🏼
That was really fascinating to watch!! I loved how the girls were giving the signal to let the others know where to go. And your Queen is definitely gorgeous. ✨🐝 Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the update on the party girls!!! They really seem nice and calm. The queen is very pretty. Keep us posted. I'll try to keep up the best I can. take care.
I made a Nuc that I need to Ck on . Thanks for showing the best way to install them to the new box . 😊
Nice looking Queen👍chocolate with root-beer stripes lol get a Dot on her.😁
Thanks for sharing 🐝🐝🐝
Great video, I love your nuc box❤
Great video love the lessons thank you!
I’ve learned so much about bees because of you and this channel! So sweet.
Been waiting on a update of the bee’s you all captured hon, thanks for update
I've had some that were russet and real dark almost black and they were some productive queens
WOW!! 👏 What a talented, sweet, calm & wonderful teacher you are! My hats off to you! Queenie indeed!
We just moved 3 nucs into deeps! My hubby is training me to be his bee keeper! 😊
Wow! I do catch swarms when I can (I'm a hobbyist beekeeper), but I'm too scared to catch a swarm at night . Awesome!
Beautiful, very calm bees👍🏼👍🏼
Have you done any videos on what a new, wanna be homesteader should look for in their land purchase?
C'est passionnant !
Merci +++!!!
Blessings +++!!!
Oh my goodness! I’ve been waiting for an update on the new girls! You’re so gentle and loving with them! I can’t help but wonder if your voice is calming to them because they all seem so tame! If I wasn’t almost 74 I’d get a hive but…😂 A wonderful friend of mine just got her first colony and I’m excited to watch hers grow! I’ve been afraid of bugs (we had bigguns when I was in AZ) but after watching you being so calm and sweet with them, when I’m out gardening, I don’t worry about them. I’m in central Virginia. My husband is even surprised I’m not jumping even when I see bumble bees and even wasps. Maybe I’m finally growing up? 😂😂😂 I’ll watch all your bee videos…..I’ve even gone back and watched old ones! Please keep making them! Also, how is Grandma’s GreenStalk doing? Finally have most of my pockets filled and am seeing babies popping up all over! ❤❤❤
Beautiful, thank you. Blessings 🌼
Just caught my first swarm about 5 days ago!! About ready to move em to my bee yard. Fun stuff, trapping bees! Thanks for the videos!
Favorite time of the ear, watching you work with your bees. Love the hum and know you are taking care of them and our planet. Thank you for sharing.
🐝🐝🐝
As always, it is such a delight to learn from you! 🐝
Thank you for your many videos. They do help us who are new to beekeeping. I have a question. The hive in a few of your videos that had been aggressive, have they gotten better?
I just noticed the Kangaroo on your bee suit so I'm guessing that it's an Aussie product. I've been Beekeeping for 3 years now and I'm looking to replace my suit. I noticed in your video that your suit has a zipper around the face area giving direct access, I think this is a great idea and I like the velcro tabs on the sleeves too. How have you found the suit? I live in North Queensland Australia and it's hot most of the year so I'm always looking for a drink whilst working my bees, this suit gives easy access to the face love it. I'll definitely research it. I enjoy your content, and your so gentle with your Girls.
Have you ever used drone comb?? Supposed to be a mite control technique.
Will you talk more about your mite control, please?
Здравствуйте каждый съёмку я посмотрю ваши видео очень хорошо спасибо большое Мне тоже интересно я английский язык не знаю всё равно интересно успеха вам Я из Узбекистана❤❤
Could you do a video or link a video on how you got started keeping bees
I'm so Excited, I've always wanted to learn about Bees, but since I'm Allergic to Bees, I've stayed clear of them, by you taking us along I can get in up close & personal W/Them & I now know how to tell the who the QUEEN BEE is.... Not that I would ever see one outside of the hive, but @ least I know how to tell...
When I lived in TX. they had to do something W/The Bees, because the Killer Bees were on the move, I can't remember now what that was that they had to do, It was over 33 years ago.....
Since your a Bee keeper I'm sure you know what they had to do to get the bad Bees gone & the good Bees safe, Maybe some time you could talk about the difference between the Killer Bees & the Reg. Bees. & show us the difference or do they look the same?
I'm sorry to say that the Killer Bees did kill a small boy ..... I think he was 4 or 5..... it was awful....
when you split into a nuc to prevent swarming, will they really make a new queen???
Hey! Greetings from Greece! What is the uniform you use?
Question, if you change the direction of the entrance from nuc to hive wouldn't it force a reorientation? It would make for some confused bees for a day or two but they'd figure it out.
Why the queen is dark? Is that common? Usually the queen is golden. Great job
Will you be bringing your merch back or am I just not looking in the right place? I LOVE your t-shirts & would like to buy one.
Guess what!?!! The pop up store is live right now 🙌 honeystead.itemorder.com/shop/home/
How long do you leave the box in front? Just installed first nuc with the same box!
Do you have honey for sale?
I have a question for you or anyone for that matter. No criticism. Why do most people catch swarms and put them in nucs. Are they less likely to swarm again in a nuc? I've been catching my swarms for years in a ten frame with a frame of brood in all stages in the middle. Haven't lost 1 after closing the lid✅️👍😁? Never miss a beat.
I keep them in a smaller box until they are able to grow a little bit more since I’ve got some really really big colonies in our apiary and give them that time so that they can defend them self.
@@TheHoneystead Thanks for the response!
@pirateprospecting707 some of the swarms I've caught are huge. Yesterday's was 7 frames of bee's, went directly into a 10 frame deep and a medium above with a frame of brood from another box. Checked today and they are happy!
I do the same, into 10 framed boxes and often a jar of feed to jump start them. I think it's personal preference.
I did catch one several days ago, into a pro nuc box, it was 3 frames of bee's late in the evening. I added a little honey, like a 1/4 frame, no brood and they were gone the next afternoon. Box was empty, honey gone! I really think it's about space and something too protect.
it look like this queen has a paralyzet leg the sooner you feel it the better
