Definitely enjoying this. Brings back old memories of the original from back in the day. These are the kind of games we had back then (except for the graphics of course), where you gotta use your head.

Never played the original system shock back in the day but have seen videos, when I got to experience the new cyberspace in this game, I was kinda caught off-guard by how quickly my Descent skills switched on. Loving this game so far.

I think cyberspace is a missed opportunity.
Cyberspace is a huge improvement over the original for sure but why arent we interfacing with the exact same systems SHODAN uses?
You should be able to look through all the cameras to see what is coming, manually activate the enemy spawners in realspace so you have something to fight, disarm a realspace trap by triggering it well before you reach the room, or destroy a shodan data packet that is en route to one of these switches. This is supposed to be an immersive sim, after all
daww why do you not like descent its the perfect mix of space sim and shooty shooter and descent 1 has one of the greatest openings of any game

For me the floaty FPS is a bit off-putting, but the general game is engaging, don't think I'd go for it for that reason. like your suggestion for elder scrolls, interesting role playing possibilities there. Morrowind came close to me failing first year uni.... memories 😊
