There is many differences to AAA, when Sony drops one its a solid always ,they never drop the ball when it comes to production value, but 3rd party AAAs suck at the moment. Rockstar takes forever but they also always deliver, same as Naughty Dog but its a loooong wait. Ubisoft are main culprits to the formula with bare minimum and micros up the roof for feeble bs.
@user-qn2vs1up7o I mean, not really? Sony's AAA games have the highest fidelity on the market, but as games, their gameplay and stories are as generic as they come. They also have a habit of repeating story themes over, and over, and over. They have literally been copying both the gameplay and "Daddy Simulator" theme of Last of Us for years, game after game, to the point that style of game is basically it's own subgenre, with games like Plague Tale and Banishers coming out. And when ever they do something different it's just a blatant clone of something else, with Spiderman being an Arkham Clone, Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone being just the most generic open world Ubisoft style game imaginable, and Ghost of Tsushima being a Assassins Creed clone.
