I feel like this music video is a perfect representation for the song. The song talks about Mr. Watson. Which my guess is Watson Pharmaceutical company that produces pills. Which is why we see flashes of lab people working on something and flashes of the blue pills. This whole song isn't referring to an actual person but rather the characters drug abuse with those blue pills. We see her on a couch and we see that little gold clutch looking thing sway back and forth on the table. My guess is that it holds the blue pills. She takes them and drifts away. The carnival represents the feelings she gets when she's on the pills. We see her riding a rollercoaster, and riding some other rides with her smiling and walking around having fun. Towards the end when she's in what looks like a Ferris wheel cage she has a more sad look on her face, probably because she's coming down from the high. She's still walking around though and sensually dancing, enjoying the last bit of it.
The scenes where she's on the bed represent her desire for it and you can see her tossing and turning. My guess is that there's no more pills and she's going through some kind of withdrawal. The scenes in the bath tub and her being underwater and her makeup all ruined and she looks sad how is she feels when she's off of it. Drowning in her own problems and life. So she continues to take the "powder blue" pill
Yeah I've read this interpretation from genius and it trully explains a lot but there's another myster I've found : the inside of the Trouble album cover says "Watson 749" while the narcotic pills made of painkillers (Watson pharmaceuticals) mixed with acetaminophen and hydrocodone are called WATSON 540.. now I'm wondering what's that supposed to mean and if it was already a hint back then..
I feel like it's a reflection after the whole Xfactor incident, people just going at her and at her that the drug was a relief from the pain and depression that she felt. And her bringing herself back is her being tough and getting back on her feet.

Same here - been a fan of her since I heard her on Matt Pokora's album (I can dream those lyrics even if I dont listen to it for months XD). I love all her music (I even have a tattoo that says "Love is a Suicide" in elvish)! I wouldnt say that I relate to all her songs, because I was brought up in a different way and never had a hard childhood, but that doesn't mean that I don't get her. I think the whole Xfactor incident was just a bad decision and I don't hate her for it. I'm happy she continued with her music, but I didn't expect anything else from her tbh - she never stops no matter what.
It helps that she's writing songs like kiss it better from Rihanna but it also really helps when ppl buy the single and not just listen on Spotify
I've also been a fan since long ago, I actually discovered her through LMFAO's Champagne Showers, she looked pretty and talented and I didn't like how she didn't sing much in that song, so I decided to check out her own music and I immediately fell in love with her style. I love how she can be sexy and also not afraid to show her vulnerable side. Her music has really helped me when I'm stressed, she have more recognition and people need to move on

Do you know why she’s hated? She publicly shamed a boy who auditioned on the X Factor for “copying” her husband, when in reality, the only resemblance they had was that they were both males wearing a suit with brown hair, and it is very common for men to wear suits. She even said she was ashamed to be there because of him, and her husband said he looked like if Norman Bates (a fictional serial killer) dressed up in his mother’s clothing. Neither of them apologized for any of this, so personally I’m glad they are getting hate.

The first two bars are basically taken from the harmonic minor scale and the ending leading back to the tonic is known as minor plagal cadence. There's nothing weird or unique about it

Goddamn this is one of the best most realistic songs I’ve ever heard about drug use. Anyone who’s struggled w addiction (and I’m one of them) can relate. Wanting your friends and significant other to just f-ing leave already so you can get high by yourself. Checking various surfaces for crumbs from the last time you used. Lying around in your bed off your face is your favorite thing to do when you’re alone. You resent your friends who get clean. It’s such a f-ing sad and pathetic existence that you’d rather put chemicals up in your body than spend time with your partner or friends or do something productive with your life. But when you’re living it, you can’t see that and you make all these justifications and romanticize using . These lyrics capture that dynamic so well.
