- First in a series on statistics in biology looking at how to use the t-test, Chi-squared test and Spearman rank correlation test for A level biology.
In this first episode I discuss:
1. The three tests and what each is used for
2. How to decide which test to use
3. The general procedure for doing all the tests
In the following episodes I will use examples to show how to each type of test.
Episode 1: overview of all three tests (how to do statistical tests): • Statistical tests in (...
Episode 2: How to do a t-test: • How to do a t test (bi...
Episode 3. How to do a Chi-squared test: • How to do: chi-squared...
Episode 4: How to do a Spearman rank correlation test: • How to do: Spearman Ra...
Lol that " Let's talk about stats baby" right at the beginning of the video woke me up

😂😂😭
🤣🤣🤣naaa
Explained it really well in half an hour. I understood all 3 without mixing them
The person who invented the null hypothesis must have been the most pessimistic person to have ever existed.
Haha, interesting outlook, although I think the basis of the null hypothesis has to do with the intrinsic nature of belief and logic itself.
The periodic table of that which is untrue, is infinite, and therefore, proving something does not exist, is a far less reasonable goal than proving something does exist.
It is better to start with the assumption that something isn't, rather than something is, because 'isn't' is intrinsically simpler than 'is'.
@@wolfgangamadeusmozart1816 Damn i didn't know you did science too mozart, whens the next album dropping
Thank you so much, your explanation was so was easy to follow, I thought I would never be able to understand statistical tests
Same! It’s one of the hardest parts of biology for me
feelin that rn
Wow. Thank you so much for this video. The statistical tests finally make sense now
yeah, stats can be tricky, glad to help.
You're the best! Thank you so much and I loved that intro.
Revising for end of years. I love you.
Amazing video. Thank you!
Thanks !
Will wait for the next video
Yes just need to edit and upload. Should be today or tomorrow. Thanks for waiting!

All this is solid to remember
Such a good video thank you
thanks a lot sir,it helped a lot
you just earned a sub 🙂
Thanks a lot very helpful video
thanks sooo much that was veryyy helpful :)
Glad it helped! Statistics should not be feared!
Could you please do videos on Module 6 like the conservation of the ecosystems that you need to know please?
I love you
You saved my life
Tomorrow is my a level analysis biology, and untill today, i always assumed id lose 4 marks for sure in this statics thingy, but dude! Couldnt be more confidant now about those 4 marks! Thanks a lot man!
ah that's awesome! good luck, for tomorrow.
@@LSCBiology thanks a lot sir!✌
you should be more concerned about your spelling! just joking mate
thank you, helped me alot
Glad it helped!
Wait do we use the word ‘significant’ in null hypothesis?
Thank you!
This is a long video but respectfully, the yapping is very effective
thank you very much sir
Thank you so much sir ...........
You're welcome! glad you found it useful!
Beautiful
thank you!
Thank you sooo much!
tysm!
thank u!
Hi Sir, in the title you stated ( A level ) are there parts that we do not need to know for AS biology ?
Does this apply to CIE AL Biology Paper 5?
Cheers
What is the Man Whitney U test then ?
Stats Baiiiiiby
Hi sir, Can Chi squared test have normal distribution?
No. chi squared is about testing non-normal data.
@@LSCBiology okay thank you so much❣️🌟
carried out notes as well
just what i needed..................but how about the Simpsons Index of diversity sir
good suggestion.
@@LSCBiology could you also do the Pearson's correlation Sir
@@terencelihambomuniale4308 Hello. that's not something I teach. but I did find this for you: ruclips.net/video/lVOzlHx_15s/видео.html

You God
You look like Rohan Iyer
thanks?
@@LSCBiology this is the greatest compliment
video was great, but dont start with "lets talk about stats baby" we good?
Will try to avoid that in future videos.
