This meditation is something I really need. After a divorce from my husband of 33 years, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, which brought my eh husband’s alcoholic tendencies to the forefront. My breast cancer resulted in his hatred of me manifested into severe verbal abuse and some physical expressions of his anger toward me. I have not experienced my childhood joy and pure pleasure for many many years. I will be tuned in for the rest of the series. Thank you Sara.❤

I needed this a lot . I couldn’t find joy for a little while so I went scanning throughout my child hood .. everytime i found joy I always was met with disappointment because during my joyful moments with these people as a child that person would betray me so I became tense . And my heart started beating a bit faster . But I continued to smile, I’m going to do this every day until I can find that joy and happiness within myself and it won’t turn into disappointment , thank you .

I listen to your sleep meditations every night,I’ve worked my way through most off them,in particular releasing negative emotions and aniexty ones have helped me with my mental health and sleep so much better, I am now concentrating on feeling sensations throughout and within my body and I am trying to balance and refocus my energy back to normal again,I’ve found the yoga nidra and chakra balance ones which I use every night to have the most positive affect. I can’t thank you enough Sarah for your guidance and meditations they truly have had a positive impact on my life. Much love Claire ❤

I can say this meditation changed my life in a matter of minutes. I did this after the somatic mediation to release anger. Within 30 seconds of listening to this video I was smiling and laughing. I was brought to tears of joy and truly believe I was able to anchor my joy that was always inside me just out of my reach. This mediation is very powerful and I am so glad I stumbled upon it in a time I needed it the most. Thank you!
Wow, when I imagined holding a remote control and turning up the volume of joy, I felt intensity of joy in my heart space going up until I started laughing out loud, I was smiling so much. This was great, thank you! ❤️✌️😁
That was a very interesting meditation to experience. First i cried really hard and then I started laughin all of a sudden. I must've looked like a crazy person but I feel a bit better now. Thank you Sara, I've become a big fan of your meditations. 🕉❤
This meditation presupposes the listener can access joy to begin with. Which i can not. It just stressed me out. I can't "turn up" a feeling i can't find. First i need to find a meditation to shut off the other emotions. If you can access joy, i do believe this may be helpful to strengthen that feeling

But sometimes excitement is joyful... Joy is not always happy?? Or is it? Your voice is perfect for this style, the clarity and recital quality plus the audio quality are all so high. I hear every nuance of expression & compassion... It must be tough to engage with that, without a f2f subject.
I need more joy and happy about having this series. After two years I am still unable to let go of the grief I carry from losing my husband to cancer even though in our mid seventies.

I was wondering the same. I have never felt safe, and so I could never feel truly joyful or happy. I don't know how to find joy, and I fear it cannot be explained by someone who doesn't know how it feels to never know joy. I wish I could answer your question, but I can only comfort you by telling you that you are not alone. I hope you find peace and joy one day. ❤️
I also found it hard to find joy. So strange because people describe me as happy and I smile and laugh a lot. But I couldn't find things that made me feel joy, I couldnt pull it out
I would move gradually from pain, to non pain, from non pain to contentment, from contentment to joy. Practice positivity, train your brain to fill truthful positive affirmation, be patient, and be dedicated to. You’re not alone, we all are in this together, it will be better for you
I don't understand how you're just supposed to "find" the joy inside you. The whole meditation is basically, just feel the joy inside you and let it grow, etc. I'm not feeling any joy? That's why I'm listening to the meditation? There's none there.
I fell asleep during the meditation - just to be woken up at the end of the meditation with a LOUD disturbing ad! Why can't you place the ads just BEFORE the meditation.

I’ve been doing a lot of meditations trying to relive grief. Funny it was this one that made me shed some tears
