  • Follow these simple instructions and you will see great results with your TMJ condition.
    Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome is pain in the jaw joint that can be caused by a variety of medical problems. The TMJ connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the skull (temporal bone) in front of the ear. Certain facial muscles that control chewing are also attached to the lower jaw. Problems in this area can cause head and neck pain, facial pain, ear pain, headaches, a jaw that is locked in position or difficult to open, problems with biting, and jaw clicking or popping sounds when you bite.
    Kindly share this video on your social media so we can educate others worldwide. I wish many Blessings to you and your loved ones! Dr. M ❤️😊🙏

    I've tried lots of exercises from different youtube videos to stop the popping in the left side of my jaw. The exercises in this video related to posterior translation worked for me from day one. I'm absolutely delighted. Such relief, physically and mentally. TRY THEM! from 2.50 onwards

    I know I'm just another comment to thank you for your TMD videos, yet I wanted to throw my own thanks in... My story is pretty typical: TMJ pain for a long time, worsening, worsening. Went to a head and neck specialist last year, learned a little more about my condition, like one side (the right side) of my mandible joint is actually smaller in bone size than the other (the joint itself, not the mandible, as faces are asymmetrical). The doctor wanted me to sign up for physical therapy but I couldn't afford it. Most of last year, my jaw was okay. Still a lot of pain, but I could use it, and I tried to follow the TMD treatments the doctor had provided. Well, the jaw got really bad again through the summer, and has been awful ever since. Crippling pain, can't brush all my teeth, can't eat comfortably, that kind of pain. I decided to do look up physical therapy exercises and have used yours, and I hope I can keep it up long enough to see positive results. It's been rewarding enough to focus on getting better and enabling that process with the help of doctors and physical therapists who recognize that we're often smart enough to figure out how to do this beyond office walls. Anyway, TLDR! Best of luck, everyone!

    • @farishwaywithwords
      @farishwaywithwords 3 года назад

      @@stfudmbduck-gu2eq Hi Sohail... Thank you for the question. My TMD didn't improve with the exercises, but I have more issues than the typical TMD victim. Masseter issues, maybe a tear, and same with my pterygoid muscles. My jaw is in worse shape than a few exercise can fix. I need better medical care but finding a good TMD doctor is difficult. Hope you're doing well, have a good day!

    I think you've just helped me get my problem under control. I've had chronic pain for about 15 years for which my dentist was prescribing 2 root canals. That didn't resonate with me (x-rays showed no infection and no reason to mess around with my teeth), so I ignored the dentist'[s advice, puzzled through why I might be experiencing the pain and finally deduced that I was having a TMJ problem. I believed that there was nothing I could do about it except take NSAIDs when the pain became unbearable. Except, of course, the meds didn't always work. I found your video about 10 days ago when my pain level was at about a 10. Your video recommended moves that were so gentle and lacking in drama that I was unimpressed and forgot all about it...until, one day, I realized I hadn't taken an aspirin in about a week. Then I remembered your video and said, huh. Interesting. But correlation definitely doesn't prove causation, and I thought it was just a coincidence. But...again, it's been more than a week. I've never had a 10-day lull in my pain before, and nothing else has changed. I'm beginning to think your video brought my TMJ under control. My jaw is pretty much just feeling like a jaw again, and your joint exercises are bringing me comfort. Thank you, doctor.

    Thank you for all your work. I thought I'd share something with you I learned about neck muscles. A singer told me he read a book and it started like this "what are you doing with your tongue" the tongue is connected to lots of face muscles, and so is the action of "yawning" I've been practicing yawning for the last few months with significant gains, as well as finding out my toung was super tight and imobial. Maybe worth looking into, I know it's how singers unlock the part under their neck/chin so that they can hit all the notes.
