I bought mine at launch and I loved it! But… I returned it because I wanted to get a laptop. I didn’t realize it basically was a portable Windows laptop… I did, but I guess I just didn’t think to use it that way… but I think I’m going to get another one. I have a Mac now, so it would really square out my setup. I never had problems with games and I knew going in that it would likely have problems. The SD thing wasn’t really a problem for me because I don’t use microSD for anything except my Switch.. anyway… everyone should have one.
@@RedBandanaGaming I don't play anything more graphically intense other than Diablo 4. I have a huge steam library of indie games! Can't wait for it to get here!

Thanks there’s not a lot on the z1 . I’m looking to get this to save cash cause I already own a steam deck, I don’t see the point in wasting 600 for the z1 extreme. Great video !
@@cs-ge5kx because most of the reviews are for when it was 600 and the 100 difference made it kinda pointless since it was a huge difference, now that its like 400 its way more worth it

It's definitely worth the money, especially at the $400 price point. I've really been enjoying this thing.

The z1 extreme is maybe just a recycled prototype of the 7840u i has been using the Ally for 2 months impressive performance
That's a lot of Switch physical games 🔥💪. I just want a Switch 2 & Rog Ally for my next handheld console from my current Switch Lite ❤

I went for the z1 Extreme, but I'm a PC guy so the extra power was important. I even upgraded the SSD to 4tb

How do you feel about the gyro?
I hate gyro in games. I honestly didn't realize there was gyro in his. I haven't played a game with it yet.
@@RedBandanaGaming I tried it too and I agree! I tried using it with Ace Combat and it felt like I was fighting the controls. 😂
No issues with sd card reader heard that was a problem with this system
I haven't had any issues with it. It's now my default install location. I just downloaded two more games on to it a few days ago.
