I loved that tractor! I know its an old school tractor and newer ones have more functionality but there's nothing like operating an old school tractor like that!
Those things are awesome
Agreed
As a kid in the mid 1960s, we had a JD “B”, which was the smaller version of the “A”. Ours had no battery or starter like this fancy one, but the manual flywheel starting was usually easy. It had petcocks to relieve cylinder pressure until it got started. I liked that little tractor a lot. 👍
What ever happened to you fixer upper tractor ?
Damn Stephen were you stoned in that video?
I’m happy to see you back on RUclips I remember when your videos were banned and then I got shot and paralyzed and had to get a new phone when I got out of the hospital I’m still paralyzed but at least I can watch your channel again. I was going to do what you do but I no longer can.
Everyone Loves a two poppin' Johnny: Up by the front gate. Yard Art at It's finest.
Anytime Steve is over to work on things with Chucky, is a good time. Good video Chucky.
Video provides most excellent additional value when the number 1 is pressed repeatedly.
2 is a good option also.
Hey chuck and stephen , good to see you both together again . Subbed to both your channels once again . Keep going guys , never give up . .
I almost forgot these tractor have a history of the float sticking and draining the gas into the oil , so always shut the gas off at the tank
Gramps taught me 60 years ago to always turn the fuel off
I remember this video. Classic chuck and Steve bullshitting and working in old iron. Gotta love it
Ahahahaha! Chuck E is a Cox zucker! Lol thumbs up!
All those old tractor got some kind of history behind them and yeah they might be a pain sometimes but when they are running it do a good job
Red Bull and Gas fumes, that cracked me up.
I love the gate on the gear lever !
If the contact in the starter switch still looks good on the side not used currently, take the nut loose on the battery cable stud (on the starter switch) and turn the contact 180 degrees and retighten, if the contact stud in the starter is worn it can be filed clean (if sufficient material remains) if it’s worn too much it needs replaced
I have a crappy old Yanmar 2220D with a front loader. It's a 3cylinder 4wd, 3 speed PTO. But it's saved my ass many times. Love your videos.
Great Video Guys...
I see the case 930 in the shop. Love to see some videos on it. I believe it's going to be his "big Tractor" More than capable of pulling that off set disc.
Open the compression release valves on the side of the heads. It saves the starter motor from excessive loading
Did the late model A's have compression release valves tho? I'm pretty certain our late model B does not...
@@johndeerejared
Not 100% sure just familiar with an old electric start Deere I worked on that was similar

Lead fuel additive keeps pushrods moving
Your old channel was great until you brought your politics. Don’t blame YT.
All the great DIY channels leave their views out and do fine.
It wouldn’t matter if ScrewTube had real free speech
Dood the music is awesome.
Awesome video!! 13k subs con grads thats a 4k jump in a day
I have one of these that I have restored years ago, because of Covid19 I haven't cranked it. I've put one of those Ignitor kits in mine and never had any problems, there's two compression release valves on the bottom of the engine and if you had opened them it would have taken pressure off the starter.
I have a 1947 JD . 1) use none oxygenated gas .2)open the peck cocks- they release pressure when starting, 3) buy a good ground cable. 4) I use two six volt battles in the seat for starting. 5) on the fly wheel are marks for firing of spark plugs
Does the Pertronics instructions ask you to eliminate the ballast resistor ? We put that ignition on a Ford tractor and it was hard starting , so we removed the ballast resistor and it was like magic , started like a dream !
Can you include a year of the footage in description in all your videos? You are talking about prices and deals... but they are 5 years old! Would be nice to see how world has changed in 2022 ;)
Yup, That is a quite late model, model A, with the stamped steel frame, versus the earlier cast frame channel rails.
Another great video in the shop
Oh well brother live to fight another day I reckon 😆
I know this vid is old but I think your debris 14:34 is from 4:18 using airhose with the spark plugs out.
if you can get spark it will run.. from the factory those were positive ground..
There should be petcocks on the bottom of both cylinders! Open them so it won’t flood then when it fires close them
I believe they are compression release valves so the engine spins faster for starting..
@@dukeman7595 you are correct yes thanks for mentioning that! I forgot to.
Have over 30 Allis Chalmers and the 1 JD we have is a "B" that was bought new in 52.
Check the rear end for water. They like to get water in them when they sit outside
Chucky 200/22
Hiya Lance
I see two Telegram apps. One for messaging and another for groups.
Chucky is every bit as goofy as before . The 3 stooges have nothing on this guy !!
You mean stupid.
Some of us would rather hear you talking about the work you're doing instead of that music!
Doesn’t that have compression release?
The A and B that were hand crank (using the flywheel) had them.
What's up
They were called Poppin Johnnies and that's the tricycle they were famous for rolling over and killing or mangling the driver .Find wide front steering gear and convert ..
Are these the new videos? Or from a long time ago.. Because Channel says `Archive` ?
Check air cleaner, oil bath type n could be plugged
Hi
These videos are reuploads, right?
I think Eric is supposed to have 2 6 Volt batteries
Damn i aint seen no video from this guy in while
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
That’s OK, apparently from what someone else said, it’s a 5 year old rerun.
So is this nowadays or an old video? Cant tell
I'm thinking old because I thought he got a new place.
Just turn the contact around and use the other side done it before on a old dodge
iLike mechanic Steve. Not Stephen Cox!!🤣🤣
I farm with old farmalls I farmed with my farm m for 10 before I rebuild the carb a it has been 3 years since the rebuild and I have never had problems with the Heavy starter button im a 25 year old farmer
Chunky, your timing is off on your distributor. The 3 connections should be pointed forward almost level. The john deere A is simple but complex for its time
I that intake pipe about the hood... covered by a plastic jug that would be acting like a chike and thus cause excess mixture of fuel?
There is nothing difficult about a two cylinder John Deere.
How’s the married life Chucky you don’t mention your wife on your videos
Glad to see that Mechanic Steve didn't disown you over your politically incorrect content of the past. FWIW I consider politically incorrect people kinfolk.
Maybe Steve should stick with Diesel engines where there’s no air/fuel metering devices or spark plugs and the fuel stays stable longer ! I’m just saying ! Lmao
It being a diesel then he maybe able to "repair" ole gas monster defeated them today. that's real life and kudos for attempting. for extreme attempt remove sparkies use extraordinary amount of ether and blow the debris and excess fuel out and start all over.
Nonsense . Simple engine to maintain.
Lost interest way before he even starts on the tractor because too long of an intro..... that the creator thinks is entertaining, I guess.
That music is rubbish chuck,,!
It appears you are in overdrive editing and posting videos, after witnessing the implosion of the last channel, im not impressed with the new format
I think he is reuploading old videos
If you watched the video before just scroll on. I don’t recall because it’s been so long weather I’ve watched them or not. If he makes a nickel off them, all the better
No one's forcing you to watch buddy
