- In this video I make a knife sheath for a knife which I restorated. Sheath is made out of leather, curly birch and reindeer antler.
If you have not seen video where I restorate the knife seen in this video I recommend to watch it also. Here is the link: • Knife Restoration
I hope you like the video and thanks for watching!
Thank You! Its very interesting idea!
Im making my first knife atm for my crafts course at uni, this helped alot. Beautiful knife, thank you!
Nice, thanks!
There's nothing like the smell of smoking deer antler in the morning; -)... nice work.
Haha :D indeed! Thanks!
Wow that turned out really cool 👍 such an amazing result. You have some very creative skill. Great work.
Thank you!
👍👍
What tool are you using at the end to shape the throat and around the wood section? I need to make a replacement sheath for one of my own knives and I just love how that detail comes out
That was actually leather stitching skiving tool, but I used the other end of the tool, handle part :) you can use almost any tool which is metal and has round shape. Sometimes I use just normal butterknifes handle for that! When you are shaping the leather it has to be still wet
how is the leather locked onto the wood part? Wont it loosen and fall off after a while?
I used polyurethane glue, but i forgot to show it in the video. Traditionally glue has not been used. The leather tightens around the wood surprisingly tight
Карелка очень красивая...
