Love the updated videos! Been following on insta but a new subbie on YT!! Congratulations on new baby!! I left a Dm about postpartum care for your locs (continue to take your prenatals I found out when you stop it that’s when our hair roots gets weak and possibly break!!) Another share is about rosemary oil and if you have done some research on it since pregnancy just an FYI- like you said different stokes for different folks!! Sending only good vibes and positive energy!!!
Thank you! I looked into this when I first started seeing the videos come out. I did some research and found that most the claims didn't seem to have much solid proof. One big thing that I came across is that Mielle hasn't significantly changed it's formula from the original after being acquired and I've bought multiple bottles over the last couple of years. Everyone should definitely do their research though!
I think I consistently got into the habit around sometime last year. The only times that I switched up was when I traveled (washed my hair more at the beach) or if I got too busy, but it's rare.
Beautiful locs! @ 19:08 , was it your preference to have them installed with different sizes? I also got microlocs 7 months ago, I wanted the same size all over (more or less), but I’ve noticed that at the crown of my head my locs are a little big bigger. Which bothers me a little but I can’t correct it now.
I actually had no idea that they came in different sizes until my loctician educated me and said that she would be installing that way because of how my hair density is throughout my head.
You cant “lighten” dark hair without bleach. It’s in the hair color formulation Sis . As a cosmetologist , I always chuckle when people say that. There’s only no bleach if you are darkening a hair color.
Thanks for your input , but for clarity, I always specifically say that I don't bleach my hair with other products prior to using the box dye mentioned in this video because a lot of people think that I do and it can get confusing for those that aren't cosmetologist. I've also personally seen others who do bleach before using a lighter dye, but I've never said that there aren't lightning agents in boxed dye. I just try to be as clear as possible with what I actually use on my hair to get this color, which is only what comes in the box, no processing prior.
You are beautiful. Your locs are beautiful. Please do not change your lovs color. It is your signature color. Congratulations on your pregnancy.🎉
I respect your journey sis!!! Beautiful! Plus yes wash those bonnets ladies!! Another tip!
Eboni curls is also a really good place to get the big, satin bonnets. I have about 5 from her right now, and I've had at least 2 of them for 4 years.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m 4 years locd and the locs helped me through my pregnancy
I didn’t have to stress on what to do to my hair to step out😊
I literally can't imagine having to deal with my loose natural hair right now! Locs have been such a blessing during this time!

Pretty locs!! I’m just a little over one year into my Sisterlocks journey and I stopped misting early on. The water was making my hair dry. ❤
Beautiful!! ❤❤❤❤ But I recently saw a video on the Mielle brand oils and how it is making people's hair fall out. You might want to do your research.😊

Can you do a video on professional loc styles? 👀

@@locsandthecityyou do a great job at clarity. Thank you.
Great video!
I don’t mist everyday, I only do it when my hair is dry.
Thank you for your service to all of the families and babes!
