Jokic is an example of a true complete personality. Every time he takes the opportunity to praise his teammates, no matter what individual success he makes. How great of a man he is was seen last night when, after the end of the game, without any emotions of joy, he first went to shake hands with every Miami Heat player. I simply cannot understand that someone can hate Jokic, and if someone does, he should ask himself what kind of person he really is. In my opinion, Skip is the type of man I wouldn't turn my back on if I were in a war situation, even if he was my comrade (that is just an example what kind of opinion I have about him). I can't believe that despite everything Jokic has accomplished, he still thinks Embid is better than him. That's just insane.

@@bigsmall2842 Yeah he definitely struggled on help defense. Still there are people out there thinking Jokic is some terrible defender overall. It's this thing with the average casual NBA fan that once a guy gets a reputation it'll always be that way. Jokic has been fairly solid on defense for a few seasons now with the numbers to back it up but people still think he's bad. Same in reverse happens where guys that were good defenders have a few terrible seasons but are still seen as good defenders by the average fan. Jokic isn't quite a paint defender like an Embiid or as versatile on defense like a Giannis but he's far better than he gets credit for.

They scored over 100 just once in 5 games and were even held to 89 in the closeout game. Thinking Basketball has a great video he put out today that shows Jokic and the Nuggets overall defense in detail and why it works. Really fun watch as are most of their videos.

Reason why Embiid played well against Joker was because Embiid, the Sixers and their fans wanted to prove that he was better than Joker in that game so he went all out. You could tell that by watching the fans in that game. It was like a playoff game to them. Joker on the other hand just approached as just another game and didn't chase stats. Also, the NBA isn't a one on one game. It's a team game. Joker effects the entire offense more than Embiid. He's like the field general out there, dictating every offensive possession. When it comes down to impacting the game, Embiid hasn't been able to do that in the playoffs when it matters.

I think Embiid has a stronger frame and a better skil set including defense. But the problem with Embiid is he doesn't use his body enough in the paint. Hakeem Olajuwon critiqued Embiid saying he's needs a bigger presence in the paint because Embiid wants to shoot like a guard, same applies to Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns. Jokic isn't afraid of the paint and I just believe Jokic is the smarter center. Jokic knows his game where Embiid seems like he's still trying to figure himself out.
