Add another RV-4 to the fleet, I can't believe mine is already 20 years old. Brought back memories of my first flight! congrats on another great build!
Stu, in my 8 the speeds you used were almost the exact numbers I used , 80 k on base,75 k approach,70 k final ,60k for a wheel landing. Gota love those RVs hope to have the 4 flying in a couple years.
Awesome. Congratulations Stu. You are a great inspiration. Quick question on your panel switches. Why did you put them on the right side. You were using left hand for mag check. Was that intentional or just the panel space you had to work with.
Yeah great question. I tried to make the panel nice and symmetrical (although don’t compromise functionality for this). The right switches hopefully get flipped only once on start except for boost pump on landing. The left side is flaps and elev trim which will get moved all the time so I want them on left side. In the end doesn’t really matter as long as it suits you
Congrats Stu. Great to see another Vans 4 flying. Mine became an aeroplane in 2015. Best handling of the Fleet , in my humble opinion.

That sign off statement is great. There’s nothing like building something and taking it for a rip, especially the first one. Exciting!!! Congrats!!!
Big congrats.
Congratulations Stu. Looking forward to seeing where this aircraft goes.

Perfect. Doesn’t get any sweeter!!!
Very Nice! Thanks for the ride!
Congrats!!!
Congratulations! Exemplar as always!
Awesome!
Congratulations! Are you working with the EAA test flight plan?
I have those docs but I do it a bit differently
I know you mainly build RV's but have you thought about anything else like a SPA Panther?
I have not researched it closely. There are lots of kits out there that I think are just as good if not better than RVs. I like the panther
