To shower, I wrap my hair, then tie it with a scarf, then put on a bonnet, then I top it off with a shower cap lol
Deidra same
Don’t you sweat it out lol
Same girl 👍👍👍
I have been rapping my hair since the early 90's, and its the best method to keep ur hair straight.
beautifulp23 how do u keep it straight in humid weather ?
What if you need to wash it
Wrap not rap

Her hair looks amazingggggly healthy 😍
Very pretty 🥰
Shower caps never keep my hair dry so I like to use a swim cap 😂 sounds weird but it's the only way I can keep my hair 100% dry in the shower!
Omg good idea where do you find those 🤔
AsplashofDR Any store that sells sports stuff. I live in Canada so the stores are different but try Dicks sporting goods if you live in the USA :)
+AsplashofDR Modell's, Target, and Walmart sells them
+Sabrina D. Thank you Sabrina ❤️❤️
I actually use two shower caps. The first one covers my hair, the second one protects the first one.
You just taught me how to wrap my pesky hair after YEARS of getting it wrong. Thank you for that!!
I promise i saw expressions like Kim K. West.
I know it's weird but I actually use whatever cotton t-shirt I have on and use that to wrap my hair. I refrain from washing my face in the shower and instead wash it right before showering so I don't let water anywhere near my. The shirt is also good from just not letting your hair get frizzy from the steam of the shower. Since using a t-shirt, I have not messed up my curly or straight hair in the shower for years.
Judith S. thought i was the only one who does this!
Sammie xo you
Judith S. I’m super late, but wow that is a very smart and useful way!
Judith S.
I use to use old panty hose🤷🏾♀️
Wrapping on the opposite side adds body to the style. Your hair is so beautiful and you as well. I will buy the pins and cap today. I remember having a wrap cap like yours and it was so darn tight, I ordered a nylon scarf wrap, but it always wound up on the floor is the morning and had to bump my hair anyway before I cut it pixie style. Now I want my hair back in that classic bob your wearing. I’m going to order my supplies now. Thank you so much and I’m now subscribed.
In my country we make something like a mesh hat, I made it crochet and after wrap the hair and put the bobby pins we out the mesh hat and take off all the pins for the mesh open holes and move the hat in the wrap direction for tight the hair. Is very easy and I have customers that use the crochet hat for go to the gym because the hair breath. Well I hope you can understand me, inglish is not my first language and I try my best
Love your process, one tip is to part your hair slanted behind your ear. I learned it after so many years of wrapping.
I remember when my hair was super easy to wrap when I had a relaxer. I recently got a blowout, my hair is natural & very silky. I couldn't keep my wrap together. Then I discovered using bobby pins worked lol. So glad I did!
The wrapping method actually works, this video is a good way to learn for starters because it's not as easy as it looks lol. As far as keeping the (straight) hair dry I PERSONALLY just use my bonnet/wrap then just throw a beanie over it. Sometimes the back by my neck gets wet but it kind of soaks up the moisture from the shower steam and the hair under is fine, can still wash your face or whatever.
Wrapping in the opposite direction adds volume to your swoop
This 4yr old video just helped my wrap my hair 🤩.
Very smart, never thought of using the blow dryer I usually just re-wrap the edges if they are frizzy. Such beautiful hair!
Hi. First thank you for the tutorial.. I usually suck at wraping! And thank you for talking in a real human voice and not being fake how you talk to the camera, like most beauty tutorialists seem to do. I'm subscribing just for that reason! Thumbs up!
omfg thank you.....I was search for hours on RUclips and Google about this and as I give up you pop up and I finally I got it. Thank you!
I think you made this video 2 years ago but I just saw this. Your the only person that made a video about the mesh wrap caps and I went out and found the same wrap caps. They are so comfortable and easy to use. Just wanted to say thank you!
I normally wear two shower caps... Might sound crazy but it really works lol
Thanks for the video. I just got a bob cut and had no clue how to wrap it. This looks so much easier than what I've been going through. Love it! ❤
I finally found large or extra-large shower caps that keep my hair totally dry. Thank you for this tutorial.
I love the curved Bobby pins too. They are perfect for wrapping.
I've used another method for years but I would like to try this one for a week to see how it would work..thanks for explaining so easily and you have a great personality!:)
Thanks for the wrapping lesson, I loved it, I struggle with wrapping so this video was very helpful to me.
You did a good job! My wrap looks crazy, especially at the top. I'm used to the old school way with the roller at the top! Lol. Thanks for the tip!
C'est la première vidéo que je regarde sur ta chaîne, et la première chose qui me soit venu à l'esprit, c'est "cette femme est magnifique!". Super vidéo!
wow, I have not tuned into this channel in a long time. That cut looks so sleek and beautiful on you. Love it!!!
I always make a part in the top of my head to wrap it. IMO it makes it easier and I don’t use bobby pins because the mesh wrap keeps it in place. I love your hair.
You´re gourgeous!!! I love the video!
It will help me a lot, for sure! I have strong and wide curls all over my hair, and they are kind of messed up every morning! I do love bob haircut, it´s my favorite and I can pull it off when my hair is silky straight, but it looks nice only in the first day of iron press, then it starts to get all crazy and fliping out (sometimes in just one side, to give a yet more weird look!) I will definitely try your method and I´m sure I will not have to stay with long hair just because dealing with this problem consumes much time and ruins the hair by the heat. Thank you!
Hey boo love your channel. Ik this sounds ghetto af an I'm kinda shame to say it, but sometimes ya gotta do whatchu gotta do lmao. To keep my hair from getting wet (bc I hate when the steam wave up my roots) I gather all my hair up high, twist my hair into a big twist & keep twisting it to create this tiny donut bun at the top. Secure w/a scrunchie. I put a cotton scarf over my head. I grab 2 Walmart grocery bags (clean ones of course) gather them both together bag within the other bag and place over my entire hair w/the grocery handles hanging over forehead area. I gather the handles as one and twist as tight as I can take and secure w/a hair clip. Idk it's something about those Walmart bags girl😭😭I love taking long showers no matter if I have my hair bone straight or curly my style always stay. Just make sure you have no holes in your bags and they'll work magic for you also. I've been doing this method for like 3 years. Never failed me😏 Lmao sorry for the book, hope I helped!
Enimsaj Htby Thank you!
You're welcome boo.
Enimsaj Htby 14 and my mom always told my to do that with the walmart and I do it to it be working when u need it😂😂
I've been using this method on my hair since I was a kid. Lmao I even taught my 15 year old to do the same thing.
I couldn’t wrap my hair for years I decided to go on RUclips and now I know thank you so much!!!!!!
I have been using a turbie twist for almost 6 years. I have my bonnet or scarf on under it. They are wonderful
Wow! I 'm going to try wrapping technique. Thank you.
wow swim cap is a good idea thanks!!!
You look like Maria from OITNB. Very beautiful.
excalty who I thought she was😭😂💯
Yes, she does...lol.
absolutely!
Yes!
Said the exact same thing when I started the video. They could be twins. lol
when i straighten my hair i do the typical dominican thing in my family... that is to use a grocery bag on your head
Itsuptomee lol that does not work most of the time because they can be small holes in the bag but also steam gets into the bag making your hair frizzy
A trick I found that help, is before you get into the shower unwrap your hair pull it up in a bun/ pony tail and tie a satin scarf or any kind of head wrap around the edges... And when you get out the should immediately take off the scarf.
Yup!
I have been trying to use those wraps for years never stays on my head at night. Maybe I'll give it another try.
Nice results. Thanks for the tip on how to wrap with the part.
Am the only one who finds this difficult? I cant seem to wrap my hair right no matter how many times i try T_T
You're not alone I find it difficult as well. I end up looking at how mine turned out as opposed to the video and say "oh well close enough " 😄
DM @moniQsATL on IG for info/help
I can't do this, either. 😭😂
Lol because this is a black hair thing. Not straight type 1-2 hair type friendly
@@mickeyxoxo5363 yeah..no
to prevent your hair from accidentally getting wet even when wearing a shower cap (have had the same issue), wrap your hair first, then put on the shower cap. A friend of mine likes to use a swimming cap instead but I use the wrap method.
I actually use the duby wrap under my shower cap to prevent my hair from getting wet. I have one for the shower and one for sleeping. I usually wrap my hair before showering or do not take my wrap out until after I have showered.
I put my hair in Walmart bag, then twist the remainder of bag and tuck it.
Geraldine Fagan A Walmart bag 😂
Geraldine Fagan omg I thought I was the only one who did that!
Thanks...your perspective on this is quite appreciated.
Very nicely done! Thanks so much for the tutorial...very helpful👍
I use a bonnet and then roll up a bandana and trie that around the bottom of my bonnet before I put my shower cap on it worked well for me so far.
I wrap my hair and it looks good thanks for this. Your hair is gorgeous.
You are so welcome!
This really helped 💖 I felt like a pro! Thank you
Your hair is soooo healthy!!
Nice and simple .. straight to the point!
You are so pretty and your hair looks so healthy.😍
My family calls this wrap a duby duby. We are Puerto Rican and black so it makes sense.
I find that Bobbie pins leave imprint on hair
Dinah Harvey but the hat duby place the pins like normal and put the cap on and the cap has holes all over it so you can pull the pins out when it’s on and it will stay
Not the curved ones. They have no crimps like the old fashioned kind.
I agree
indeed. even the curly ones leave imprint. Its best to put pins in just to keep the hair together until all hair is wrapped and then pull them out from under the wrap.
Dinah Harvey yup I tried it...never again!
Ur a life saver supper easy and the results are amazing thank u so much
This is my first time watching any of your videos and I just wanted to tell you that you are so pretty
I use an expensive shower cap and a sweatband. I use dry shampoo to fresh up my hair sometimes
If you don't want your hair to get wet in the shower wrap it up with a scarf first and then put the shower cap over it.
just what I needed...how often are you straightening and what do you do to prevent heat damage?
You can wrap your hair and then use a wide elastic band to put around your head. It will help prevent your hairline from getting wet in the shower.
You look really pretty, would love a make up tutorial for this look. Beautifulllllll hair btw!
Beautiful hair
Thanks for the tips
Thank you. Explained so well.
Such a beautiful hair !!
Thank you for this tutorial. You are so lovely.
I use a shower cap and wrap a microfiber hair towel around it. never gets wet.
Corrigan Davidson Thanx..💗
This really works thank you
watching you wrap your hair was therapeutic
That spiky brush you're using is deadly!!
Nice why i never research this b4. This is gonna help me so.much.
Gurll! I use 2 shower caps. Not a drop of water on my edges or anything using that method
you have such beautiful silky hair. if I attempted to brush threw my hair when it is dry my hair would be so poofy.
I always learn something new and unique from you! Love you! I always love your choice of music. Could you go back to putting the links in for your music? Thanks.
In New York most Dominican salons wrap your hair with the straight pins and then use a Duby (the net type of cap or scarf) and then take the pins out so there are no dents
Your hair is sooo pretty
Yes the power of the dubi!
I just wear my wrapping scarf under my shower cap, making sure that the edge of the scarf matches up with the elastic on the shower cap. No wet edges. The shower cap MUST be oversized. That is key. Hope this helps.
Love your hair!! So silky 😍😍😍
Thanks, your video is very helpful! Where did you buy your mesh wrap?
I think she is naturally straight and silky.
I Love this channel I learn how too wrap my hair. Thank you.😇😇😇😇

Got my first silk wrap today and this video saved my life 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loving the hair, but the make up is on point. I really like the natural look!Tutorial please! Or product details, thank you beautiful!
you can purchase the diane boobie pins from house of beauty and the duby wrap from sam's beauty, both on line!
I wrap my hair but no pins. I wrap my hair and then I use the elastic net cap. Then I use a silk wrap. For the shower I use two shower caps.
I usually brush my hair up not too tight and a thick headband over my edges and then put on a tight shower cap and when I get out the shower my hair is always dry.
love the hair
Thank you for this video.
You are sooo pretty! I wish my hair was that heathy 😂😂😂
cool helping video thanks👌🏾, you relax your hair right? when was the last time you did it? (I mean based on that video 😅)
I have that issue it makes my roots and edges become wet dry and fizzy due taking a bath or shower and also from sweating a lot too so I hope this World thanks for the idea love the video❤
I put a scarf or bonnet on, then two shower caps because it will kinda get wet with 1 on
Your bob is sooo cute!
When I straighten my hair I put a plastic cap under a silk bonnet and it keeps it dry and doesn't frizz
Where did you find the Diane Curved Bobby pins, the Goody brand did work as good for me? Thanks
The wrap is called the Donna Deluxe Foam Mesh Hair Wrap, it's at some Targets in black neighborhoods and on Amazon. :)
