I HATE SHIRT POCKETS!
I literally do not buy shirts no matter how beautiful and highly marked down it is, JUST because they have pockets.
This is a real life changer thanks.
My mind is also blown on those holes not being permanent.
I'm the exact same way!
Same! Note to self.
This might sound stupid but wow I was amazed. I never knew you could do that to a dress shirt. S.D. you are the MAN 😎
Why would that sound stupid? I made this video because not EVERYONE knows things like these!
Short, entertaining, and packed with useful info. Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
A pocket on a casual shirt makes it look formal. Looking forward to your next tutorial video!
So true!
Appreciated, I tend to hate dress shirts I buy with no choice but a pocket when I'll fold up and put a piece of cloth if it makes sense. That's what a blazer pocket is for (Regarding style) And seam ripper does "seam" odd for what the tool actually does. It's really a blunt stitch cutter or manual stitched thread remover. As others will point out these are great for getting rid of tags and logos
Glad to see these can be removed without damaging the shirt or the pattern on the shirt. The fact that these are so easy to remove showcases how cheap they are. Not a fan of these shirt pockets because they look weird and lower the formality of a dress shirt.
Good video and an obvious subscribe.
Completely agree, I’m not a fan at all myself.
Most underrated youtuber on the platform
Loved this video. You continue to inspire me.
I'm so glad to hear, comments like this inspire me!
Thank you for the short and useful video :) Commenting for the algorithm
You’re welcome!
Nice tip, but I'd suggest using the glass bead on the seam ripper too, instead of only picking thread by thread.
If I may, there's a video called "The Correct Way to Use a Seam Ripper (with the Red Ball!)".
Hah, I've seen It actually! Great video but the risk of cutting your shirt when you do that too.
another solid video.
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching so early in the morning!
That's like magic the way the holes vanish!
Appreciate this!
Did this with a safety pin, don't ask me how but it worked ty for vid 😭
Lol I remember I had to use this to take off those HOLLISTER and AEROPOSTALE logos from my highschool tshirts/sweaters.
Lol a good way to turn your kid clothes into "grown up" clothes hahaha. And if you're a cheap bastard like me 😂
Removing logos is a GREAT idea huh?
SD I'd like to see some creative videos. I Know you focus on us bros fixing the stuff we got from Target or Walmart with some minimal sewing machine tips. But I'd like to see your channel have some more about what guys with the time to create new items. Scratch built shirts, pants, backpack? Holster?
It's like you read my Google Doc sheet...
Can this work on cargo pants ? Great video
Great idea
Glad you think so!
@@StylishDTailors my only problem now is where am I going to put my pocket pencil protector?
Hi! I would like you to show you how to sew the hood on the sweatshirt. Thank you in advance! And I like it!!!
Great suggestion!
Great idea. MD out!!
Deuces!
Gonna try this with a needle and a box cutter, wish me luck!!
How did it go?? We must know!
👍
🙏🏿 Thank you
You are so welcome
I did that after an alteration made the pocket move 😂
Has this worked for anyone else? And does this work for any shirt that has a pocket on it? Someone let me know please.
Hope you gave it a shot!
Does this method work for removing a front pocket from a hoodie? *Context: I want to remove the front pouch from a hooded sweatshirt to make it a crew neck pullover*
It should yes!
Boom
Hi, can I do this on a white satin shirt?
Yup sure can!
@@StylishDTailors thank you
I don't like them too
So we're friends then?!
@@StylishDTailors 🤝
Would the holes dissapear as easily on a white shirt
Yup they should!
@@StylishDTailors Do the holes gone or not?
Do the holes gone or not?
The holes dissapeared but there's still a white line of where the pocket was stitched even after washing it 2 times.
Hmm…try running an iron over it a few times
This is gantle man
I don't know what that means but I think it's good right?
