I’m glad I came across this video because I’m having the same issue with out of battery after shooting some rounds. I don’t want to have to order a new guide rod or extractor but I will look at that on my gun to see if I need to file down. Thank you for this video
Sliderails to slide tabs needs to be free any slight resistance during the cycling movement will cause problems l would think you solved the problem permanently l did the same thing to my MC9 and l always polish the feed ramps and slide tabs with mother aluminum polish on a dremel tool with a polishing wheel on all my semiautomatics pistols until its butter smooth did this as soon as l buy a new semiautomatic handgun my MC9 so far 800+ rounds no issues and it runs and performs very well for a small micro l even shot 50 rounds of Federal 115 grain JHP +P+ my carry ammo through it shoots more like a subcompact than a micro at least for me for a micro it's beefy
I think the Canik MC9 is like a micro Walther P99 with a PPQ trigger and yes l love the Walther P99 and PPQ platform and a big fan of the SIG P320 platform
I sent mine back and got the shield plus from smith. I have 2 other caniks i love but i got one for my wife as well but it kept messing up. She likes the shield much better
How did you send it back and how was the process? Was it similar to trading it in ( I have never done that before)? I want to get rid of mine at this point and obtain a good firearm with it.

Great video. I just got my MC9 and it has the same issue. Did this fix your return to battery issue?
