- Here's a short video of one of the Still In Service Vintage The Standard Electric Time Co Systems. Every building on campus used to have a full out Standard Electric system such as Clocks/Horns/Pulls/Bells all made by The Standard Electric Time Company. Most buildings replaced their old systems but a handful still have these old horns and bells functioning still today! All the old circular Standard pulls were replaced by National Time & Signal T-Bars but you can still see the old circular marks of where the pulls used to sit.
A local church had four pairs of Simplex Chevrons and 4040’s. Now, with a lobby expansion, the system has been replaced with BG-12LX’s and E70-24MCW-FW’s. Yes, Wheelock still makes the E70’s today.
As much as it is annoying that spectralert advances or wheelock as fire alarms are so common, at least it gives more valuable to these old alarms. And if they were more common, we wouldn't care as much.
I love it !
That’s so cool
tell Old School Fire Alarms about this and the location of the system.
no
@@VintageCollections really, I mean, this system is rare.
Probably not the best idea to tell him the location, but I think he should be aware of old vibratones still in service.
@@ticearpey3235 My point
The institution probably doesn't really give a fuck about it.
woah that’s rare
Interesting
