I had no idea which one was the one you were keeping but I was hoping that it was one of the blonde one and I knew that Mojo would be training it, I was hoping you would pick a cuter name but I can understand the name reason but since I am a great grandma and don’t keep up with Disney movies anymore and didn’t know there was a Disney character by the name of Russel now I know and can understand Thanks for letting us that didn’t know about this naming thing.

The weather has been weird here in AZ, too. Everything from almost 80 to hail and thunderstorms to frozen car windows several mornings (and there's no pattern to what we're going to get).

Cora has been walking funny on her left front leg for more than a week. Some days it's really noticeable.
I noticed she seemed to be struggling walking. I wasn't sure if she was in pain or still recovering from having the pups.
She's had trouble with that leg a few other times. I hope she doesn't have a genetic elbow issue.
Did Kora not injure her leg a while ago? If so, she could have developed some arthritis in that injured joint, which the weather could affect that old injury, same as humans, as does walking alot & standing/lying/sitting in the same place for a while.
I have noticed the same lameness, hopefully not Lyme disease….
Having pups doesnt cause lameness or injury, maybe from playing with pups too hard, etc 🤔

I don’t remember how I found y’all, but I started watching your channel the day you took Daisy to the vet for surgery…..I cried when you lost her because of the pain I knew your family was going through. Yes, Russell. It just makes sense that you will retire Mojo and Russell can be fixed so he doesn't interact with mama. He is a great addition. I do remember when you lost Daisy. I cried hard on that one. She was so sweet and a very good guard dog. I still miss her sweet face. Hoping we get to see our pets on the new earth one day! Russell will do a great job as he has grown up from day one around the goats sleeping with him and always being around him. You gave him an excellent start. Great choice! I think Cora keeps waiting for him to leave. She didn't follow you and just went and laid down when you took him to meet Skeeter. I think she will perk up when she realizes he is staying. She has been the best mama. Leske is an awesome dad.

Poor Kora! Lost all her Babies but 1... She has to feel that loss! She also still has that Limp! You really need to get Kora checked out really good! She's so sweet and I love her and hate seeing her in pain or stressed! Glad yall kept 1 for Kora!
I see the limp too I'm wondering why isn't it being addressed. I feel they'll visit the vet after it gets worse. That's what happened with MOJO I left a comment about him not looking to good I could tell by just observing him on these videos. Next thing you know a couple videos later MOJO had to be taken to the vet like I thought. Kora may be playing with her baby but she's obviously in some sort of pain poor mama.

Hi Kevin and Rachel, I knew you were going to keep Russell. He just seemed to be a special little puppy. I cried when you talked about Daisy. I absolutely adored her, and was devastated when she got sick. You were so good to Daisy, doing everything you could to make her better. I am glad you had a great time at your conference, wow, three years of doing it now. My favorite animal next to Daisy is Deputy Sheriff Smeagle. He is the smartest, sweetest cat. I hope you realize how special Smeagle is. All of your animals are special, Mojo is such a joy of a dog. Not a fan of the weird Emu though. I prefer your ducks and pretty geese. Life with only one puppy, enjoy Russell. 😊

We got our Newfoundland, Sable, when our daughter was 3. She passed on daughter's 19th birthday. Only sibling she had. She & her her cousin called Grandfather's Black Angus rancher friends. They buried her along one of his creeks. The thumbnail pic speaks volumes!! 🥰

I figured it would be one of the light colored ones because the others were like Leeski and Kora and the light ones made me think of Daisy. It was quite some time before I zeroed in on Russell, others figured it out long before I did.
Russell was telling daddy Leeski “The big two legged weird animal took me out into the great big beyond and just put me down and it was scary.”

I’ve actually heard of the disease that brought about the loss of Daisy but I’ve never heard of it occurring in a dog. The next couple of weeks of Russell spending time with his parents but especially with Cora she will teach him so much. Not just about being an LGD but she will teach him a lot about being a good dog. Congrats on your growing LGD, I can’t wait to watch him as he learns and grows.

😊 I told my wife that it was going to be Russell. Remembered Daisy, particularly the post of her taking care of Kyah after the goat butted her while holding baby goat. My sister has a small breed pup named Daisy who we all love, the same as you loved your Daisy. I understand how you felt talking about her, made me feel misty while you were telling the story and reminded me of my I had who was my best friend. Stay strong and keep it real.
