SAFETY GEAR GENTLEMEN!! You both have families that depend on you being able to see, hear and breathe. It will only take a few seconds to put it on. Please.......a concerned supporting viewer request. You guys are such hard workers. Roman needs a raise.. just sayin'.
I love that Cole is still his original, authentic self! I hope he doesn't read the comments because I don't want any of you buzzards making him feel like he has to change everything about himself and the way he does HIS videos just to make a voice few happy. If y'all don't like how he talks, what his volume is, or how many times he says "underground movie theater", you can turn the volume off. Cole got this notoriety and the amount of followers he has because of how he does things. No need to fix what isn't broken.
You should inquire to see if you can do the septic yourself without certification. States often make provisions for homeowners working on their own stuff.
Iowa takes groundwater safety very seriously. They used to let homeowners do there own...... and realized letting homeowners do their own thing was not safe for the groundwater which we all drink from.
@@vespermk Colorado is quite stringent due to how many states rely on water sourced from the mountain sources here. Homeowners are still allowed to do their own, it just needs to be engineered & stamped, and then inspected.
Before you install that last footer and patch of wall below the stairs you should dig a hole/trench from the outside underneath the foundation and use that to slide the 40 foot I-beam into place. Seems to me like it'd be the easiest way.
☝️Or slide it in through the place it's going to rest from under the front porch. 40 foot I-Beam is massively heavy. Trying to jockey that around, if you even can, has a high probability of someone getting hurt. Put a hole in the top plate area to the outside and slide it in. On motion and your done.
I agree if want the 40 foot beam in one piece it's gonna need be be slid in under the foundation. Can't see any way a 40 foot beam fits in through a 10 foot hole in the middle of the foundation. Or think you'll have to cut it in 2 sections and weld it together inside the basement
You need to paint the rubberized waterproofing on the outside of the wall before you put the dimple board on depending on what the membrane is that you use behind the dimple board. It may need both.
Might call and double check that you as the homeowner can do it yourself. In my county in kansas, a contractor has to be approved and certified to do the work. BUT, as the homeowners... I was able to do my entire septic system myself. I just had to have the environmental guy test my soil, discuss the plans and measurements with him, and then he came out to do 3 inspection at predetermined points in the project prior to me back filling. Cost me $4,000, he said that the local companies would have charged me $14,000 - 20,000! Made all the hard work WELL worth it!!!!!
Yup, as long as he gives it 2 different exits at opposite ends in case the house collapses, covering one of them. Unlikely it will cover even one, but covering 2 would be unbelievable.

I grew up on a farm and am very familiar with drainage tile and how it works,... but still.... I find it amazing how dry that dirt where the theater will be is being kept. Just amazing, especially considering the amount of water that was coming into that big hole while you were digging it!!
From a professional basement owner perspective I would recommend to use a cement based watersealer on the inside of the walls. Water, humidity and condensation on the inside of the wall sounds scary.
Vertical Integration Cole. The business that comes from installing septic tanks can support farm business. Sounds like a great plan. I’m amazed at just how much I learn on this channel.

PUT THE CROWN UP ON YOUR BEAM. Use a hydraulic jack with a gage to know who much your beam will have to hold to lift the floor up 1/16 at your support point or points. That 5" beam is going to sag when you start sheet rocking the walls upstairs. You may need two beams to support that distance and preload the ends.

Good to see Justin. Can’t wait until the walls get put in
Roman is getting more and more buff with all his shovel work! Cole too but I noticed Roman today! No need for a gym!❤
hes already smoking hot from arm wrestling!!

He actually uses echolocation like bats
