As much as I am thoroughly enjoying watching every minute of this, I'm really looking forward to the day I hear 'underground movie theatre' for the last time
@@lexus5413be surprised at how much people would be asking “why did they do that“ if there wasn’t continuous chatter, for those that know, they know what’s happening!
@@imagoodlistener2730 Yes, the longer the beam, the less weight it will safely support. I wonder if he's estimated how much weight will be on the beam and figured out how much weight the beam can support for that long span?
For 117 years those walls were pretty sturdy. They definitely were built to last. It took quite a bit of work for you and Roman to get them out. It's going to look great when you get finished. Looking forward to more progress.
Pork Steak in our family is the favorite. We use pork shake and bake. Far better than pork chop for us. But there are a few ways. Happy to see you are discovering this.
Talk to an engineer, I would put a column under the joint between the meeting point of those two metal beams you are installing. Unless you oversize the smaller one you might be overloading it when you weld the much longer one to it.
Cole, installing your I-beam is very simple. Follow me on this, cut a hole next to the door of your stairway. A little bigger than the beam, in the wall of the house not the foundation. Now you'll need to get a long cable & blow a hole in the end of the I-beam. Stretch the cable across to the other wall & make a matching hole like you made on the other side. Take your telehandler & squeeze the I-beam with the forks. Next take your bobcat, attach the cable to your bobcat & you'll need to build 2 cribs. Pull & push the beam, hopefully you'll understand what I mean by this. Good luck to you, and I really hope this helps.
Yea! Look for a boneless Pork roast and you can slice them the thickness you want, you have your pork chops, 1/2 the price! Love pork steaks! Thank you for sharing, you and Roman are amazing!
Structural beams are generally not welded together, rather beams are bolted together. It is far stronger bolting flanges together which gives surface tension. Welds will not be as strong and will be far less surface connecting to each piece of steel
Hey Cole, love watching all these videos! You should definitely make a picture book that shows the whole process start to finish and descriptions on decisions, problems and solutions. This would be a book just for your family, I'm sure future generations would love to see the history behind the house and all the effort that went into transforming it.

The finger on the thumb meat is a trick that many chefs use. It's how I was taught when I worked in the food industry, but nothing beats a thermometer. I used to cook all my steaks by feel but now I use a thermometer. 130 degrees on a steak is so much more tender than going by feel
Unlike beef steak, you definitely want to make sure the internal temperature is anywhere from 145-160 degrees. Don’t recommend eating undercooked pork ever. Have a great weekend.
love me some pork steaks! I grill them almost done then i put them in the oven in a pan with BBQ sauce and cover the pan and cook for an hour, they are so good and tender.
It seems like you have spent Spring and Summer just working on the basement and movie theater. It seems like there is enough room in the basement for a theater without having to dig that huge hole.
As you have found out Cole when they made concrete years ago they made it to last! My Parents home was the same even though built 50years later! Unsure of the mix though but it was durable! An exercise in ingenuity and durability removing it!

What I do know about cooking pork 🐷 it has to be cooked enough to avoid exposing one's self to Trichinosis, from being under cooked.
