hey bro I tried modding my Nintendo Switch following a RUclips tutorial but is from the different video not from ur video, but the software went wrong. Now, while my Switch boots up and functions properly with the original software, the modded software isn't working. Any ideas on how to fix it and get my modded Switch running?

Try another usb cable. Some cables are made only for charging and not for data transfer. Also try to install the driver from the settings tab.
I have a question, ive been following the steps but I saw you listed formatting the sd card, i kinda am using my old and only switch that i own and i dont want to lose my save data on everything. Do you need to format my sd card to work? Because this is the second tutorial that I am watching and it keeps saying I do not have rcm.
SD Card must be FAT32 to run CFW. If yours is FAT32, then you don't have to, but just in case, make a backup of the entire SD card before the process

Thank you so much. After following several other guides with no success this has worked for me! My switch was already modded but I chose to follow this after some of the SD card folders got too messed from failed attempts. Only issue now is my games won't start, even though they're still on the SD card. Any ideas how I can get them going please? It just says 'software data is now downloaded'.

I’m kinda new to modding and was wondering what sigpatch for atmosphere does? I have modded my switch using a different guide and that file wasn’t used, so I was curious of its importance.
As long as you can run every game you install, it means that sigpatches are up to date and you have nothing to worry about.
I tried installing cfw on my switch on firmware 18.0.0, but after injecting the payload there was no response. I wonder why it could be like that?

hi when i enjected the payload my switch popped up a message saying"Failed to init or mount sd/ press any key..what do i do??
Maybe the sd card is bad? Try another one. I got that error when my sd card died.
Question : why do you need to inject the payload via tegra?

Instead of Tegra RCM, you can use RCM Loader, but the payload must be injected. And every time it dies, you have to inject it again. Only consoles that have a mod-chip installed do this automatically.
I just completed your instructions. Everything seems to work. Thank you. However, when I loaded both JKSV and Checkpoint, they both crashed. Do you have any ideas? I'm pretty sure I have the latest installs.
Check if there is an update for those tools.

Try another usb cable. More of them, one must work.
this mods requires a chip to work? like picofly? it will work on a lite console?
You can also mod chip moded consoles but you have to rename hekate.bin to payload.bin

Maybe you didn't leave enough space for emummc. Try with sd file based emummc, that way you don't have to worry about space and it's simpler...

so i have 4 sd cards i modded 2 of them a while ago i got 2 more and i could not figure for the life of my why it was not working i tried from scratch to put it on the new sd cards i tried to copy both my other modded cards that work and that wouldn't work i tried old versions of atmosphere i couldn't figure out for the life of me what i was doing wrong until i watched your video and seen when you went to the atmosphere page you can open the assets bar to get the latest atmosphere i felt so dumb lol i kept downloading the version under that that has the assets downloads visible lol so thank you once i had the latest versions it was a wrap had both cards done in couple mins btw the music was superb

NOTE: There is no problem running all of my games as of now .
This is not the final version of Atmosphere. If you want to update an already modded switch, you better wait a little longer because there is currently no simple solution for that, you will have many errors... If you are impatient, you can do a fresh jailbreak like in the video, but you will lose data...

I think you messed something up with the atmosphere files. Try to copy only the atmosphere again.

You missed something if you followed my tutorial. Go to atmosphere/contents and delete the folder corresponding to the title id.

Hello, im trying to update my cfw switch lite few hours ago. I want to update the atmos version and the firmware version, i don't have PC so im using Phone. My phone connect with my switch using a OTG Dongle when the new file replaced the old one and i'm reboot the switch, my switch won't booting to cfw menu. But i can access my Hekate

I cannot see any applications in hbmenu. It says 'no applications can be found on the SD card'. I took the SD card out and confirmed that the switch file exists and contains .nro files. Any ideas why this is happening? Great tutorial, thank you!

If you only have sysmmc and decide to play a little online, you can get banned very easily. That's why we make emummc which is only for cfw. And sysmmc remains as before.

Yes, but you have to figure out how to run Windows applications (Tegra RCM) on a Chromebook. There are also web payload injectors that you can use instead of tegra rcm.

Hey bro once I get the sd card into the switch it’s saying on the hb menu that no applications could be found on the sd card and to make a folder named switch when I already have a folder named switch
The folder with .nro files named "switch", must be on the root of the sd card. If it is already there, check if there is anything in it.

It should work, the only difference is that you need to rename hekate.bin to payload.bin and put it on the sd card.

7:33 when I booted into emuMMC it will just show a yellow screen until I shut it down, when I boot back up none of the modded applications are there, I tried to recreate emuMMC but it didn't work

The SD files are not in the correct location or are not there at all. Check where you copied them
@IDX3Tutorials I did it over with no luck but I noticed files in the bootloader folder disappeared when i plugged SD(fat32) back into the pc so I checked and repaired sd under tools and tried it again, double checked before i ejected and everything was there but no luck. Pulled SD back out and even more files were missing now. Cleared the SD and loaded the setup I had before this and I was finally able to turn it back on but only the stock version will let me in which was my original issue before following this guide.
