Being the 8th person to platinum this masterpiece of a game was so worth it. I also love how they added a trophy referencing how basically everybody cheated the RC race in level 2 without using rocket boots, haha. Great video!!

I think especially for us trophy hunters, having this feature on games we grew up with as kids lets us really tick it off our bucket list and put onto our profile wall to say we have 100% these games. I really want this platinum as it was the first game i ever played on the original playstation. Another game i really wished had trophies was THE ELDER SCROLLS IV: OBLIVION, from the ps3 era. I know that classics is only from the psp/ps1/ps2 games for the most part. But it really bugged me that we never got trophies for TES IV, when there was achievements for all other versions of the game on xbox. Bit off topic, but hopefully one day all games are given achievements so we as trophy hunters can go and collect our favourite game(s) trophies to satisfy having our favourite games with a platinum trophy on our profiles.
@crypto40 again, I think the whole idea of being a trophy hunter is to appreciate the games you enjoy by trying to get 100% of the trophies on games you enjoy/have fond memories with. Having this feature for older games is a massive boost to both trophy hunters and also being able to display that you have beat these games to their entirety on your profile.

I beat this game on PS3 with a physical disk, and it was the first time I ever 100% that game. It's not that hard if you've experimented with the PC version as much as I have, but I still could never get past Zurg on PC due to a glitch that happens on modern hardware. That glitch causes Zurg evade faster when you get close to him, making spin attacking him impossible.
Not having trophies is honestly a good trade-off than not having these classic games at all. The PS2-on-PS4 games all had trophies and other stuff like a normal PS4 game but only a few made it in at that time.
I think everyone that played this as a kid remembers that dang giant tree! I think it tooknme like 3 hours to compleate if i even could do it my first time.
fun fact: due to how long the gap was between toy story 2 and 3, 3 was able to have achievements/trophies by default due to releasing on 7th gen consoles.
90’s third person games were so painful! Played Ape Escape to get platinum, and for a bit of nostalgia…and the camera movement is so painful to play! Devs really didn’t master third person until around 2002-2004
I remember wanna lose you younger and I played this and I tried for so long to get out to the tree and when I finally got to the top that stupid Zurg kite pushed me down the second I got there I had to get up there all over again
A easier way to beat the toy bot tin guy (I forgot his name) is not run and circles and charger your gun and when he stops stop him once and repeat till he’s dead
@PlatinumPace I'm sure he'll recommend some games. But a fun video could be the siphon filter trilogy. Not too long and not horribly hard so could get all 3 done in 1
I got 2 levels from the end and didnt realise the rewind festure thing, i saved the game and when i come back on i didnt realise x was to save so i overwrit it n had to start again 😅
Oh my god this game was a massive part of my childhood!!! Off to Platinum this next Edit: played the first level and my God the camera is absolutely atrocious 😂😂 I don't remember it being this bad

The rewind feature does so much to make up for any aspects of the game that have aged (the camera), make the game still really fun to play today
