You can “set” the dye using a mild acid, like vinegar. That’s how Easter egg dye kits work, and how you dye natural fibers.

That is what I was thinking, using vinegar
Yes! In fact, I want to see three or four methods:
1. Skittles on wet shirt, like this, then dried on heat in the dryer
2. Skittles on shirt wet with vinegar, then heat dried
3. Soda ash, using Skittles like fiber reactive dyes
4. All of the above with different fiber content.
My guess is soda ash will be most effective, especially if the shirt is left to dry with the Skittles still in place.

Should've freeze dried them, powdered them, and then used them as detergent.
that would just make them dissolve even faster ( even less time to be staining the shirt)

I'd like to see some experiments with Laffy FTaffy. For example:
How much weight can it hold?
How much would it take to lift a person off the ground?
Can it be used to cast any sort of metals?
How well can it be sculpted?
What happens when it's freeze-dried and then rehydrated?
How much will it expand in a vacuum?
Can you use it like a skipping-rope if you have enough?
What does it taste like with all the flavors mixed together? (at least all you can get a hold of anyway)
and so on...

@@Telta14 It's not paper; it's a special type of material that was made for the banknotes. I think it has linen and cotton mixed in with it to make it strong like that.

Chop a grape in half and put them side-by-side and they have to be touching each other in the microwave and it will create an arc of plasma

Rinse with white vinegar to set the colours, or give them a chance to set. And misting the skittles while they were sitting on the shirt would give you more dye.

Y'all need to try Skittles and milk. Taste like fruit loops!
Make a giant rainbow in a glass. Dissolve each of the skittle colours in water in varying molar ratios and carefully layer them in a clear glass from most dense(bottom) to least dense(top).
