Fantastic work. Thank you for your experience. 19 years hearing instrument specialist here. You might want to wear hearing protection. May be much happier when you are 70. Early on will not notice hearing loss except maybe tougher to understand in background noise. Hearing aids can be very good but the fact is a person ends up hearing nerve damage. Custom fit earplugs from ear impressions are a pleasure at about $80 per ear. Thank you again for your patient explanation of your metal working.
I worked on the ramp at LAX. Ear plugs often comboed with ear muffs helped preserve hearing.
We do wear ear plugs most of the time .
Adding to the story about why Porsche built Speedsters: In the 1950’s just about every imported car that was brought in for the East Coast came through Hoffman Motors in New York…Max Hoffman was an extremely competent importer/distributor and a legendary salesman who knew the market as well as anyone…
As you said, Hoffman went to Ferry Porsche and said Porsche needed a model that would sell for $2995…About 3200 Speedsters were built. The model that replaced the Speedster was the Convertible D which a bit more expensive model with wind up windows and a more sophisticated top….

not only you.. ear protektion... i hawe tinnitus... not cool... did not use ear protektions before... nice new doors.. i hawe 2 make mine 4 my -56pre A fiberglas cupe.. did the body myself in a 24 year old mold.. here in Sweden.
