Hi David, thanks very much for the kind comment and subscribing, glad you enjoyed the video. I'm very jealous of your Carinthia bivvy bag. That, in my opinion, is the Rolls Royce of bivi bags, one day I shall own one too! I can thoroughly recommend TJM Metalworks kit, the fire anchors that Trev makes/sells are fantastic. 👍
Brilliant vid Barney - load out, setup, grub, skills, the lot. Just sums up why the 1k subs are more than deserved mate. Keep ‘em coming! And keep doing you. All the very best. Rich 👍👏👏
Great to see you back out mate, glad to hear the brommie is earmarked for a return. Love those woods and the scran looked top notch as per .atb Dave ⛺️👍
Great video Gavin, glad you had a good and very busy camp. Congratulations on the 1K subscribers, well deserved mate. Just keep doing what you do... charity is a great idea especially with the family connection. Nice spot you chose for the intro too. 👍👍
Big up respect to you for reaching the sacred 1K. Its a tricky one with monetization... I always said I'd never do it, I hit all the monetization numbers a full 6 months before I decided I'd do it stealthily and hope nobody noticed because YT were putting ads on my channel anyway... However, when I saw some revenue come in, I changed the way I acted, stopped using copyright music, and I generally felt my personality changed. So far in the last 7 months I've made a grand total of £83.00. When I reach £100 I'm also giving mine away to charity. Watching the rest of your viddy now. Love your style mate.
Cracking video, do prefer 2 nights or more for a camp, get into a proper routine, scoff looked spot on too, surprised how good that titanium frying pan performed tbf,,love the ruc btw, great choice of charity too, nice one, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
Cheers Craig, thanks as always for checking out the video and your kind comments. It's always good getting out for a couple of nights, especially on a wild camp. That titanium pan surprised me too if I'm honest, but it did have a ceramic non stick surface which definitely helped. Very impressive though and a great bargain. 👍
That is awesome Barney, great inspiration from you and JP, and how caring for others like your brother. What a beauty of day under that tree, mighty fine fire starter you found and love all the birds singing. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your week.
@@barneysbimbles fine by me. Everyone trying to get it to or below twenty minutes seems a bit rushed and mechanical from my point. Keep on keeping on!!
I am chuffed you’ve hit the 1k subs, Barn. Totally deserved! Loved the kit loadout section. As you say, folks love that. Great idea on stocking the area prior to the actual camp day. The allotment plot looks the bizzo. A fella I know grows the Reapers. Good luck with consuming them 🥵 The video was going well until 43:15 🤣🤣🤣 The bannock and jam 😍 Des in the background letting off many trouser coughs 😆 Brilliant vid mate 😉👍🏼
Cheers Tim. Des was farting like a good'un. If it wasn't a blimin' plane flying over, it was Des doing a trouser cough! Bannock, butter and jam is a winning combo matey, give it a bash next time you're out. Des does a pretty good bannock too, credit where it's due. Glad you enjoyed it though matey and many thanks for your support 👍
@@barneysbimbles Yes I must try the bannock making. You both make a good one by the looks of it. Always a pleasure to support and watch your vids kind sir 😉👍🏼
You should of lobbed 500ml of vodka in that birch water 😂 Wraps looks lush... apart from the cheese. You should of got a can of Mr Jobby 🤣🤣 Anyway Barn, I stuck it out, going to watch your last 6 mins and not say a word...👍
I have previously had birch sap with a dram of scotch and it was really nice, thoroughly recommend doing that. Mr Jobby isn't a bit of me unfortunately, don't really go for the sour ales. Nothing wrong with squeaky cheese Lee, tis food of the squeaky gods. Well done for sticking with the video, I didn't half waffle on in this one and definitely felt that it was too long, even by my standards. We'll have to get another camp in the diary soon 👍
I also don't ask for subs or likes... or put banners up to that effect, I find all that a bit crass. Still watching... its a long one 😂 I might have to do it in 2 parts ❤
Yeah likewise, I've made a point of not doing all that like and subscribe malarkey. I get why people do it, but it's not for me. I do like encouraging people to comment though because it's good to get the dialogue going. 👍
Great vid Barney enjoy it a lot a good set up there l watched a couple more of your videos ans how different they are 😊 a question you and Des cook with fresh and packaged foods does it put extra weight in your Bergen as am a ex vet l don't what to go down the path and just eat rations as a diabetic type 1 l got to balance out what l eat plus what you and Des make is spot on 😊👍
Hi Mark, many thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the videos. The fresh foods definitely add a bit of weight, but it's really not too much compared to the weight of a rat pack and I think it's worth it for a night or two. After all you're usually going out for a bit of fun in the woods and be comfortable. You can even get away with carrying fresh foods in the warmer months, just steer clear of things like chicken and fresh fish. Enjoy 👍
Hi Duncan, glad you're enjoying the videos and hope you enjoy tarp camping. I used a rapid deploy ridge line system and this old video by Sean Kelly (Corporals Corner) gives you a good tutorial on what you need to do. I think my ridgelines are usually about 8m long and I find that covers most eventualities.👍 ruclips.net/video/Sipxc4jFI9s/видео.htmlsi=taLD4XiwCZwURxAl
I use 550lb paracord which is 4mm thick. I also have ridgelines which use 275lb paracord which is 2.5mm thick. Both work fine for me. I wouldn't worry too much about thickness, it just needs to be strong enough to hold a tarp and withstand the odd gust of wind.
Congratulations 🎊. Well deserved, brother. God bless you and your family, and happy camping 🏕 🙏 😊. Lee
Thanks Lee, really appreciate your support 👍
Great film all round Barney, and that Saturday evening dinner wrap looked awesome 👍🍻🔥
