This old man can relate well with young people. Excellent story teller...nothing to be ashamed being poor.
Very impressed with this man! The media has came out with the wrong narrative of him.
Good interview. He just talks honestly about himself. No bad mouthing about others, no criticism, no political smearing.
He is authentic, sincere and remarkably briliant, and connects so well with the hosts. Non partisan with the right priorities for sg. His Meditation practice provides mental clarity and regulated emotions. He is certainly someone who is able to uphold the presidential office. He got my vote.
He's a fantastic storyteller. I teared up when he talked about LKY and his late wife. He comes across as very sincere. Thank you, TDK, for hosting this podcast about NKS. I didn't know much about him initially. This video is influencing my vote on September 1st.

First! I must say that Ng Kok Song has a very good voice for facilitating meditation. I like that he is concerned about young people & emotional health issues

I can 100% relate with Mr Ng on caring for his late wife in her last 19 months being the happiest months of their lives. This happened to me when my husband was diagnosed with lung/brain cancer and I accompanied him to every doctor visits, chemo and radio therapy sessions, etc. Subsequently when his condition deteriorated and he had to be hospitalized and I took unpaid leave to stay by his side 24/7 during his last 9 weeks of his life in hospital. It was the happiest times of our lives where we spent real quality time together. This was 15 years ago and Mr Ng brought back precious memories. Thank you Mr Ng. Mr Ng is a decent man; he appears sharp and sincere and definitely qualified.
Initially, I was thinking of opting him out as my choice of President. But then as days go by, I can't help but getting to like this guy more & more. A very romantic person, a man with gratitude...Despite his age, he is very alert, having a sharp mind. I think among the few Presidential hopefuls, Ng is the one who connect best with the youngsters. I just feel that he is very young at heart

honestly, i love to listen to Kok Song's story and his storytelling ability. the other 2 candidates does not have such forte to communicate to the mass.
The very skill that endeared Mr Lee Kuan Yew to many Singaporeans. Mr Lee in his heydey could tell stories forever and people could listen to him forever.
Mr Ng is a fighter he dares to stand up and criticise openly when he notice something is wrong he has my respect.
Presidential campaign aside, Mr Ng has a very sharp mind for a 75yr old. Kudos to him and he seems like a good candidate

Great choice of president. Transparent to share his late wife. He got his rights to love again with the right woman God bring into his life again. Intellectual compatible and will be his soul mate to journey his last journey in life. Make a difference to the nation with his vast experience. Will have the stature to carry himself as president due to his exposure in interacting with a different league of people in his prprofessional job. Great choice and let vote for him!
He seems like a man with gentle heart but with so much courage at the same time and confidence.
He got the qualification for the objective, the purpose of the president is financial control . Also, his fiancee is about 30 years of age gap. Came from noble background , and economically self independent. Yet she willing to hold his hand. So he KS must be someone reliable

Tharman is quite good and he has been my choice for Singapore President for not just one term, but possibly two or even three terms; he is relatively young. However, I have just decided to vote for Mr Ng this time.

Mr Ng is a talent. I wonder when he was in his prime years, if the establishment did invite him to join politics. He seems to have the calibre of a minister.
Come on lah, his job is more important than some ministry. People buy up so much stocks under his watch be it the 11% of Stan Chart from the Khoo family, to the Citigroup buy, he is easily responsible for our 23 Billion annual dividend.
I am touched by his genuine answers . He does not really need to take up this challenge, knowing that there are so many haters around. He has a sharp mind and just want to serve. You have my heart. ❤

What a wonderful episode! I was smiling throughout.
Most people don't realise, he is not just from Kangkar, he come from the paikia school Monfort. And he did so well. The father sell fish in the Kangkar fishery port, to the guy who bought all our blue chip dividend stocks.
Ask me, I actually like his financial training more than Tharman's because he probably knows most of the portfolio by heart. Tharman just do the approving, he have to heavily research, sort out and reject, and then have a narrowed quality buy to be presented to Tharman for purchase.

The difference is totally Heaven and Hell.
TKL is so narrow minded and so defensive
Where as Mr Ng is so open minded, flexible and also know how to handle situations / questions well, indeed someone who definitely helped late Mr LKY before.
Awaiting for Mr Tharman's interview most likely he would be also a strong 1 since he should expect what kind of questions will be asked.

Tharman brands himself as a wise, empathetic big brother. Mr Ng brands himself as a kind grandfather who will make you feel good about yourself. Both the qualities that make a good president. TKL? An angry old man whose grumpiness and don't-question-me-but-I -can-question-you attitude make you hate your country, your life, yourself, and feel that Singapore is hell.
Just want to thank him for coming out. I believe he is doing this for the greater good even when he knows he is up against the gaint. So much respect !!

Why does all the president candidates always perform better at podcast than in front of the media and press.
Because it is a more informal setting. Not everybody is media trained and comfortable in front of a bunch of reporters. Also a podcast is more intimate and personified the candidates. I enjoyed this series of podcast and interesting to know more about the candidates.
Because it's a long form interview. Unfortunately, not everyone has the patience to sit through such content.
Podcasts give a unique insight, the setting is more relaxed and intimate as though hanging out with them over a cup of tea or coffee. It's also great in that we can get to know them in a broader sense and see other aspects of the person.

When i first saw him and Sybil, I didnt cringe or hold nasty assumptions. Surely there must be a good story behind this. And i watched the loving body language of his children and their spouse. So who am I to judge a book by its cover. This wonderful episode really reveals a lot and he gains my respect.

Ng kok song is seen to be a very intelligent men even at his age. I think he do stand equal chance.
His branding - no party, meditation master, calm and stable. His profession - investment. He linked with this fiance through similar interest = investment. Not sure if u guys feel the same. But when he mention the strong need in keeping reserved safe for rainy days. He has strong relations and respect for LKY. I don't knoe if his no party branding still applies. Yes keeping our reserves is impt for rainy days. But does that also mean not making any change as a president aka protecting the reserves? Questionable. But a respected qualified candidate. A good father and husband. Likely a very emotionally connected to people around him. Does have some LKY vibes. They r prob very close frens.

I actually believe that Mr Ng would serve as a better candidate for the presidency, as we all know that Mr Tharman's capabilities are being wasted on presidential duties.
Mr Ng's experience would definitely help us manage the reserves better, while Mr Tharman can use his knowledge to further improve the financial state of the country.

He is just as qualified as Tharman but not the rest. Singaporeans should give him a chance and from what he said, he is no 'yes man' type and that's what we want. Tharman is definitely a 'yes sir yes sir' man.
That's what a Singapore president should be, a ceremonial president. That is the job description. Only a yes man can do that happily.
