Hello - lovely stuff! Could you tell me - what is the purpose of the constriction of the bore near the blowing end in Arab and Turkish neys? Kawalas and kavals don't have this constriction. Is it just a difference of timbre? Or does it affect the intonation as well? Thank you.

I bought your Arabic Ney D - Dukah #1, but I cannot for the life of me produce the notes on the lowest register that you play here. I don't know whether that is a limitation of the ney I have, or a limitation of its player!
