I just redeemed this watch a year after I pawned it. When I took it out of the box for the first time and pressed the middle button, it gave me an accurate time as if it never left my wrist plus a good 80% power reserve. Then I just updated some of the software and my watch automatically connects to my phone whenever they're within range at each other.
Really nice review! I've had one for about 6 months and really like it. The features are just "techy" enough to be useful without getting in the way. Also nice to have multiple alarms. To me, it's a classier smartwatch with a swiss movement, titanium case, and ceramic bezel - it ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for.
Nice interesting modern piece from a trusted Swiss brand - but not for me! It is however, very refreshing from T&T to show us the latest in watch tech. 21st century to18th century and everything in-between. Great content and variety!! Keep 'em coming!
This watch is huge because the solar cell needs the real estate to charge the battery of this beast. A normal solar quartz doesn’t need that much juice to run so doesn’t need to be that size.
I had one of these for Christmas, two years ago, and returned it because, like yours at 1:26, the hands do not all point straight up when they should do. When I got the replacement, it was just the same. I called Tissot Customer Services and it appears that many seem to be like that which, for a Swiss watch maker, is pretty poor. I sent the second one back and got a top of the range Garmin instead. It is such a shame because, other than that, I really liked the watch but I couldn't stand looking at it when accessing the various functions and the hands don't all point directly upwards. Also, as the second hand swept around the face, the degree of inaccuracy changed, sugggesting that the hands were not mounted perfectly in the centre. Once again, for a Swiss watch company, that is unforgivable.
That's what why we carry phones now. I've never trusted a watch for waking up. Alarms are great for time reminders in meetings, or other daily appointments like picking up kids from school or walking the dog.
I got one but I can't use it because it only says charging and the second stick is moving since the last three days due to some error or glitch, pls help me.
I still use my senses. Like views, wind, time etc. And with added tendency indication rather happy. Though I expect. More updates coming to the software. Some months ago they released v2.0. It is described as a reliability upgrade. But jumping to #2 gives me hopes that they reprogrammed the core software, in order to be ready for future features.
Quite disappointed in this "Review". Frankly it sounded more like a paid advertisement for Tissot rather than an objective, informative and in depth review.
Synchronization by phone lags the true time on the phone by a second or more. This issue was brought up shortly after release and still has not been fixed. Not acceptable in this price range.
Yeah but how much does this solar capability contribute to the power consumption of this smart watch? The one thing that has kept me from purchasing a smart watch altogether is that I REALLY do not want yet ANOTHER device that I have to charge every, single, night…..I have my phone, my iPad,my computer, my headphones, I’m sure I’m forgetting something, and now my watch too?!?! I just can’t take it….so even though this boasts being ‘solar’, I’d be willing to bet this still needs charged at least every other day if not still every night. Am I wrong?

60mm lug to lug is ridiculously large and completely unnecessary! An Apple Watch offers a heck of a lot more functionality than this, with the largest models being only 45mm lug to lug. And if you’re talking about super rugged smartwatches…Garmin offers a full range of Android powered models, who’s lug to lug is in the 50mm’s range I believe. The size of this watch is a joke, sorry. Oh and it’s not a real Smartwatch anyway, more a glorified G-Shock like a Mudmaster. If it were more reasonably sized I could actually like it. Tissot have been making variations of this model line for donkeys years! And they were a lot smaller than this, but still tough.
I think you’re missing the point. This is an “unobtrusive” smartwatch (apart from its massive size). I have an Apple Watch and it’s the biggest pile of shit ever. It constantly listens and interrupts me in meetings and general conversations. It is very poor on battery life, and whilst the shape was interesting to start with, it’s now really boring. Add to that it even listens when you’re asleep, so I hide it in a bag of socks so the snoops can’t hear me snore! I ordered a Fredériqué Constant (FC) Vitality Smartwatch, which, if I could see better, would have been ideal. Unfortunately, the FC has a small screen under an opaque dial. The info is great, except I need a pair of reading glasses to see it. As it was a dress watch, it wasn’t lumed, which meant in the dark, I couldn’t see the electronic display without glasses. That FC had a 100 times better heart sensor than the Apple Watch. My Apple Watch used to tell me I had completed my exercise goal when lying on the bed! As with all things Apple (bar their operating system MacOS) it’s all hype over substance. The problem is, I’m sucked into their “eco-system”. My first choice, around November last year, was the Tissot, but I got put off by the gargantuan size. I opted for the FC. However, I now have the Tissot about to be delivered. The large size means I’ll be able to see the display, but the excellent lume on it, means I don’t need the display to see the time in the dark. I wish I’d just bought it first instead of the FC. Apple watches are two a penny. Everyone has them. Not everyone wants to be constantly pestered by it. I now wear my Tag for day to day and wear the Apple when exercising. The Tag will be worn occasionally, and the Tissot will be the daily wear.
@@pgVeritas Couldn't agree more. This is never designed to be neither fitness, adventure or gadget watch with camera's, speakers etc. It's a business/leisure watch. And the best, most rugged and stylish option to separate work and private time. It doesn't even need to be activated before showing you the time.
@@henriwolbrink I’ve had mine for 2.5 months and I only charged it the day I got it. I’m really glad I bought it. Apple Watches are updated every 12-18months, adding features you don’t need. They are priced as a premium product, but the quality is poor, everyone has one, and half the features don’t work properly. It can’t tell the difference between a walk and being in a car at 70mph. Apple’s laptops and MacOS reigns supreme, but these consumer focused products are overpriced, over-hyped rubbish. Garmin’s are great if you want to compete or train seriously, but not everyone wants to do that. Apple et al. have forgotten what the primary function of a watch is….and it’s not to spy on the worlds citizens for a corrupt government.
Yeah, but apple watches are ugly with no character, so there’s a trade off. Now if you could put those two(or similar to Tissot) than you would have a winner!…….till the battery runs out, again…….
I don't like to show up on a meeting, dinner or date like GI-Joe either. For me the smart thing is exactly the lack of functions I'd never use. I just want a short vibration on a call to find my phone or reject. And be able to spend more time away from the phone. Just private WhatsApp and relax.
Nothing like having a mobile phone, on your wrist, when there is already one, in your pocket. This is still in an actual watch that can function like an actual watch. Because it's solar you don't even need to charge it. A 'true smart watch' is just another mobile phone trying to be an actual watch on your wrist.
this is Tissot not GShock or an apple watch. Look the brand up. this is great ! Tissot didnt have to do this they have amazing watches , the fact that they did and made it work and still look luxury is pretty impressive.

Have you managed to calibrate the compass? If so, how did you do it? I’ve tried everything 😩
It looks beautiful and is pretty unique, that's why you buy it. I can't stand a smart watch without real watch hands.
Amazing build quality. Picked one up to use as a daily wearer!
I did the same! Really like it
Thats nice. How often you need to recharge?

No smartphone brand can hold a candle to a proper watch manufacturer like Tissot.

You can manually set the hands to point together.
Also it seems they are made in china and not Switzerland
@@Theworldisforent I never managed to get the hands to align and so returned two watches and got my money back.
I'd love one of these. bit too much for me.
Can you receive Messenger notification? Or just text notification ?
In the Tissot app you can choose to have notifications from any or all the apps on your phone - all text notifications.
They should correct the alarm level. Not loud enough to wake you up in the morning.
Not loud enough? You meant the sound or vibration?
@@musclerambo1 I mean the alarm.

Nice watch but if Nav mode is only compass , n not track or Find me home, it gg be deal breaker. Still classy watch
I KNOW THAT VOICE, Indian scout bobber Ricky, not only do we have the same bike and watch but the same damn name.
Love tissot but it’s takes longer just to check weather with phone in pocket

I simply let a weather app push a weather update every 1 or 2 hours.
Did he say 60mm lug to lug?
if only it had heart monitore it would've been perfect

all I can see is that seconds hand going TIC........TIC........TIC.....

Why does every reviewer say "Mateo"? It's Meteo. Short for meteorology.
tissot is like tudor. they will never break out
Watch for around 950 or 1000 pounds I expect top quality and perfect everytime.
For any Quartz watch, absolutely.
But for mechanical watches that price range is barely entry level.

Not even close.
