Warren Warren Warren….how this world STILL needs you today, more than ever!
Warren and John David are back together tonight. Long live.
I am so sad he is gone.
I'm a metal head from the 80's ,I had no idea what I was missing till I heard warren z!!!! Rip my friend!
This man makes love to a microphone.
I miss him a lot.
Brilliant, as always.
R.I.P., JD Souther.
Terrific. Warren saying "kill" has a different weight to it.
He says it like he means it.
LOVE U WARREN .
Happy Birthday
The more I listen to this version the more i think it is the best one. As much as i like Linda Ronstadt, she doesn't hold a candle to Warren. What a great sound by JDS. I love JDSs version also - so smooth.
such a unique artist with many meaningful song's. Yet HOW would I know because My Shits Fucked Up. Boom
Love Warren but there's no version like Linda's
Best version. Heard both Linda and JD's but neither hold a candle to this.
Saying Linda doesn’t compare to this is just pure nonsense.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and I wouldn't be so rude as to dismiss someone's out of hand, but my point was despite the fact I am a massive fan of Linda Ronstadt and appreciate her great version of this song, I feel Warrens version had that touch more feeling and emotion.
@@ianhampton1208well, Linda's version also has lots of emotion. And while Warren was a great songwriter, his singing voice is barely above Dylan.
Suggestion: Linda Ronstadt's recorded version.
Second to Warrens.
And . . . gave him his due . . . lot's of royalties and title to her most successful album?
The performance is pure Ronstadt but with close listening . . . she's true to the essence of his artistic vision.
Please . . . enjoy.
WZ is my favourite artist, and this rendition is amazing. JD Souther's is the definitive version for me. His phrasing is sublime.
