- Former British motocross racer Jake Edey takes a spin on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally at the expert trail at the ABR Festival at Ragley Hall, UK.
This is an uncut video and the bike is bone stock, except for Dunlop Trailmax tyres, which, to be honest, aren't that much grippier than the stock tyres.
You can check out Jake Edey's profile here: / jakeedey_199 Авто/Мото
He is toying with the Himalayan.. Fuck the noise around Chassis breaking.. Clearly this bike can do almost anything one can possibly think off .
Absolutely agree with you!! Especially after seeing this video
Yep, Royal Enfield themselves came out with a statement that the chassis broke due to improper fit of trash aftermarket crash guards
Now this is fantastic content! Can't wait to see what all content you have made! This is really cool!
4:27 Dude that was Scary. Great riding mate. 👏🏼
thanks - well done for getting across to England,
they make me laugh - 'expert' trail hahahaaaaa, it's a field
True, but slippery. Its good this bike is holding the ground quiet well
Well played Jake, super impressed mate
I thought that was you by the RE tent! I should have said hello apologies
Hi. Hope our paths cross again. Cheers
Grossartig!
You could record a short interview of sorts of Jake's, nothing professional, just him after his run going around the bike and talking about his experience. Would be sweet.🤙🏻
Next time.
@@abhinavbhattyes please make one a real short one.
@@abhinavbhatt and a "follow" drone camera on another run...that would be *awesome!* ps. great video mate, well done.
@therealpils maybe next year if they call me again.
@@abhinavbhatt let's hope so. again, great content...keep it up :)
This motorcycle is fun and tough, no doubt!
What was all that mechanical clattering and banging?
Engine sounded sweet😊
Was that a standard bike?
Standard bike. Sound was from the chain.
NOW THATS HOW YOU RIDE THE HIMALAYAN450
Wo khadak khadak ki awaz konse part ki aa rahi thi gaddon me.
Chain.
@@abhinavbhatt okeys
Fun! But what is that horrible noise in the back end suspension area? Interesting that these are miles and not km/h, I thought it was very slow then I realised that it was actually fast...
That's the chain bouncing around. Quite normal.
@@abhinavbhattI never noticed it that strong on my 411 nor on my Tiger. I will check what it does on my 452.
Is the windshield rattling?
No
What tyres was this bike on?
Dunlop Trailmax which may be 10% better than the stock tyres.
Explains the cautious riding & manhandling corner exit slides
Where are the people crying about the chassis break now?
That’s such a dumb thing to say, do you even know how reasoning and deduction even works?
Their not "crying" doesn't mean it didn't break. You might be an ostrich, doesn't mean everyone is.
@@ateetbhagia6394 an example of how dumb you sound: “if AN ADVENTURE bike crashes because you have decoupled the tyres is an issue…….” Bikes are held together with nut and bolts, of course it will break if not properly fitted
@@RangerV8 yeah, the comment makes no sense in this context.
@@green_genie blud. The point isnt mechanical knowledge. The point is that it wouldnt happen on a different brand.
How many people have been talking about chasis breaking on a yamaha due to bolt torque from aftermarket crash guards?
And why would you care about it? Are you an engineer or a customer? If something as minor as a bolt can literally destroy your adventure motorcycle, then it is an issue that the brand should be called out for. They did not disclose this information before someone literally had their motorcycle break on them.
The motorcycle is great, the motorcycle isnt the problem.
The company behind it has an issue when it comes to random things causing issues on your motorcycle. Be it cone sets, something expensive, or literally the whole motorcycle.
You can't be held responsible for your entire bike breaking down because one bolt wasn't torqued properly. Are the people over at RE's service center responsible enough to talk about bolt torques? I'd doubt they'd know what that means.
By the logic you're putting out, you should service your own motorcycle. Except these brands dont put service manuals out. And considering the quality of bike service across brands, its better that you do unfortunately but they'd void your warranty over that.
You cant be expected to have your motorcycle break on you in this day and age because two bolts weren't torqued to its recommended spec.
The point is not the spec, the point is that just 2 bolts can cause that much damage.
I didn't read the description at first, and it didn't strike me for a second that this wasn't India. I thought this was your bike.
The whole time, I thought "eh, I can do that". (it did "seem" fast but you know how it tends to look faster on footage than it does in real life) And THEN I read the description and realised, "OH SHIT! THIS ISN'T YOUR BIKE!! AND THAT WAS MPH!!"... mad!!
Wonder how hes keeping this monster on trials and keeping on track .. Imagine when he rides actual trial bike 😮
This guy is a little bit faster than me…
👍👍👍👍👍👍re himalyan simply superb 💯
Super light?😂
What’s with the clickity-clackity sounds?
It seems that he isn't downshifting to lower gears on slowere turns. he's using the clutch to keep the bike alive and it's knocking at lower speeds.
I would have thought it was the centre stand. That trail is very bumpy so most likely the centre stand knocking?
Clearly recorded before or after general admission access. Nobody else there, to either get in the way or come past 🤔
This was shot around 7 pm Saturday.
😑
Certainly not a 411 !!
Nice, this needs a lot of skills
Fantastic roads by Indian standards
🤣
Try hard enduro
Too fast, the road conditions couldn't be perceived, you should have given a preview of the track at slow speeds.
there's no road, its a field. Its off the road. Experts are meant to ride fast (whatever the motive might be - promotion of a product, place, event, etc.) which in turn indicates the durability and the beating (in context of the product and video) that the motorcycle can take. There's no point riding a motorcycle (again, in context of everything mentioned earlier) slowly. There are plenty of other off road videos of the 450 being ridden at a gentle or moderate pace. It simply means this video is not for you.
😑
@@subhagnikpatgiri1919 this isn't like a well maintained football field smarty. The bike was taking some really heavy hits. A slow preview would have given a genuine idea of the track and the undulations . You don't belong in the category to understand my statement smarty. Better luck next time 😜
@@dipankar4865 well, in that case, you can go visit the venue by yourself or just look for other videos. Your effort in sarcasm is below average levels.
@@subhagnikpatgiri1919 yes ticks below average guys 😜
