Has anyone got the rest of the episodes of the Vice? It was one of the best and most grimey british cop dramas on TV and think it could've had more longevity, even after Ken Stott left if show runners had more faith in its audience.
The idea of DI Frank Vickers as lead villain protagonist heading the scandal soaked Vice Unit as a sitting duck. Not only at the mercy of the criminals he's had dealings with who've left him wide open to blackmail but considered a big fish to topple and usurp for the Police Complaints Commision, ambitious officers in his own team and station who know full well he's a bent copper. He has minimal protection, used up all his bargaining chips and cannot trust anyone. That would've been dynamite to watch.

***** Either that or top of range CSI style cop shows that take the mystery out of the crime and investigation.

***** Pat Chapel was a different story all together. He was considered one of the Vice Units most straightest, brightest, compassionate and most stubborn officers who treated prostitutes as victims, targeted the pimps and was was tenatious in his never ending pursuit of evil and justice. He always ended up playing the strong one for others instead of himself. Treated nearly every case like a personal score to settle. He had his fair share of secrets no doubt. He sacked Dougie Raymond for fucking a prostitute. Something Pat did himself in his younger days while he was married. Then the past came back to bite him on the backside in the form of both Vickers, Jane and their daughter, Sarah. Vickers backing Pat into a corner by not only using his best qualities against him forced but also grooming Sarah for prostitution, forcing him to play Vickers at his own game using the ex-hooker he loved to set him up for rape broke Pat as an officer. No contact with Jane or his kid. left soiled goods as an officer. Stuck in the abyss that is the Vice Trade and the worst of what life has to offer and his protoge and surrogate daughter Cheryl Huchins getting raped on camera while high on crack its no surprise he snapped. Where Pat Chapel was concerned, the Vice Trade slowly but surely destroyed him.
