- Three part British mini-series, which first aired on Channel 4 on 24 March 2005. It is set in the year 2009 in a Britain where voter apathy is at an all time high and a new political party (The Democratic Consensus Party) has just been voted into office. Tariq (described as a young tearaway) steals a laptop, not suspecting that it belongs to one of the most influential figures in the DCP, John Spears (Philip Glenister). His friend, Max (Ashley Walters), starts to worry when his friend subsequently vanishes.
Apologies for the poor quality in parts - it was the best I could do.

I remember this being played on in mornings sometimes on Channel 4 back in 2005.
A slow start, everyone, but the pace and calibre of acting is superb. Please stick with it!

This is the 2nd or 3rd time that I have watched this piece, since 2013 And, I really do not see any problem, with the quality. I think it was extremely well done and uploaded with care.!
Even in 2017, many movies and/or television shows MAY have been shot in diminishing light. You really don't know, do you, Bud??
What exactly would you expect any uploader to do, with that original material?
Perhaps hire a new film crew to redo the show? Is it the dark ? You never specified the problem...If it was a general dissatisfaction. But if, that is your
only complaint, look for another channel or site.
I thought and still do find this upload by ''PhilipGlenisterFans'' to be more than good! Clarity is an 8/10.. there are no stupid halo lightings to blur our vision... none of the many gimmicks that make us detest YT movies...
Perhaps,the 2 of you can make this a mutual project and fix whatever your gripes are...together. Then, you both can upload this movie as a superior work of art! Show everyone what was supposedly so inferior about this upload! Thanks guys!

Maybe England is different from America, but I would think that the daughter of the Prime Minister would have agents from MI 5 or whatever their Secret Service equivalent is as protection.
Why should the PMs family need protection?
Maybe in a dictatorship, or a country full of loonies, people might try and do them harm. But we're a fairly sane bunch over here.

Nope.
There are violent societies where the citizens are raised to hatred & fear, and so their leaders need be paranoid and need loads of protection. And I'm afraid the world leading nation (US) comes high on that list. But just because one is used to something doesn't mean that it is the only situation there canm be.
Thankfully we Brits, and Aussies, haven't reached that point yet (despite our governments attempt at pissing people off). The US has had several presidents shot, while our PMs greatest threat was having eggs thrown at him. NB Him personally, as collateral innocents (i.e. family) are off limits. One can only lose by attacking his family as noone (friends & most extreme opposition alike) would defend the perpetrator.

Sound is too poor to continue
If everyone does logical thing half the time it would last thirty minutes. That said it's well acted. And weirdly well written considering the plot is fully holes.
The upload of this Excellent drama is not great but some LOTR fan seems to think it is ok to use U tube as a platform to have a good old Moan. Someone took the trouble to upload this so maybe show a bit of respect?

Poor quality recording and the sound is out of synch.
What is it with these kids? Criminals. Where do they learn hate? HOME from their parent(s); Mum, Dad, Mum's punters and Dad's tarts.Even if their parents are respectable they know no more about bringing up kids than training puppies.
THESHOMROM they learn from school, their peers and society. Makes no difference about their upbringing. Parents lose influence when their kids become old enough to react to society with their own mind!
All of the above and then the peer pressure and the ignorant arrogance of adolescence. The brains of boys aren’t fully developed until the age of 25 but they are at the height of their physical and sexual powers. Quite a kerfuffle. What you see as poor parenting is a human behavior problem of development, environment and societal norms. Put simply, good parents end up with bad kids and vice versa irrespective of class or standing in the caste hierarchy. Caveat: there are more disasters at the bottom , also more people, and also fewer rescue operations and successful coverups in the working or underclass families. The result: Anything can and does happen!
who else has been mugged..? horrible feeling.. late at night a couple of guys came to my rescue, stopped a street argument i was having.. well, i thought so, during the scuffle my clutch bag was returned by one of them then they ran off, which i thought was strange, then realised my purse was missing!!
