He had enough of the bail bonds business, so he moved to Albuquerque and opened a vacuum shop/disappear service.
And Uncle Jack got tired of being a fed and became a nazi Fed killer.

Shout out to Michael Keaton’s socks with sandals game.
They're Tevas.
I love watching a scene and every time you spot something new 😜
Bet his socks are so high they touch his balls, Keaton is fkn Firme
Nothing beats the time he walked through Times Square wearing a Toga at the end of Night Shift.
Then he played Ray again in out of sight with j lo and Clooney
No Matter how often I've seen this, I still want Max and Jackie to stay together.
Me too.
They were much too comfortable with their solitude.
They were arrested together the next day.
@@fantasia55 hopefully
@@fantasia55 Nah. It's a closed case which the department were hopefully willing to put behind them, as long as Ordell was either in a cell or dead. Going after Max and Jackie would be too much, despite Ray probably knowing she took all the money.

Rip Robert forster...truly one of Quentin most underrated film.
All of Tarantino's films are overrated. So is he.
She really did look great in that suit
It would very difficult for ME to turn down her offer. She looked AMAZING!
I mean, it's Pam Grier.
I always thought this scene was an homage to Casablanca.the hero knowing he could get the girl but being gallant he does the right thing, both knowing its for the best. I think its his best movie.
I seriously doubt it, and it was based on a book
Casablanca was an idealistic kind of film, this is quite cynical.
In Casablanca he didn't want to break up her marriage. In this movie his fantasy and ideal about her is shattered.
@@WithoutRemorse12 There is also a theme in Casablanca of individuals in wartime subordinating themselves to something greater than their own interest - Jackie Brown has nothing like that.
Well Max did have a successful business to run with clients and employees depending on him
RIP Deebo, RIP Robert Forster.
Too bad Keaton isn't in more Tarantino movies.
Max is such a principled, good dude... miss him
After the movie ended, he went on to become Ed "The Disappearer" Galbraith.
But I thought those bailbondsmen were as crooked as a barrel full of snakes. 🤷🏾♂️
Robert Forster was always one of my favorites. This is beyond any doubt for me the best movie Tarantino ever made.
Come on bro pulp, django and inglorious were way better
@@davidturner4852 See that's what's great about the United States, we're all allowed to have our own opinions no matter how wrong yours is.
Jackie brown is his 2nd worst movie imo. Only one worse is Kill Bill part two.
I saw it 4 or 5 times in theatres during its original run. So good.
@@TheMercyTrialsDjango was a lot of good. Any Tarantino film js worth watching again and again. But I’ll always love Jackie Brown.
Only 7 when this came out and Pam Grier already made me feel things.
Hahahahahaha!
Lol
Amen to that brother
same here brother..... literally looked up pam grier exploitation film scene right after this one...
I wanted to see this so bad as a child, my folks opted for L.A. Confidential
RIP Robert Forster and Tiny Lister
I love how rather anticlimactic this movie is, no dramatic shootout or monologue before the villain just dies or he dies in slow motion, just bang bang he's dead, nothing to it. It kind of fits with the gritty noir aspect of the film and adds a level of realism. Plus Robert Forrester was great in this movie, for a bail bondsman he's surprisingly soft-spoken and shy and rather polite, but he's hardly a pushover.
He seems a little taken aback by her ruthlessness.
He realizes that his Romantic Fantasy about her was mostly all in his head.
@@WithoutRemorse12 like this lame comment
@@WithoutRemorse12 IT'S REAL TO ME
Max is a straight arrow. He has a very strong moral compass.
This!
When Pam Grier was in her prime she was one of the hottest women in Hollywood.
But she was only a B movie star.
Yeah but when age kicks in so does old looks
Her and Bridget Fonda did not age well by any stretch any of the word. Two beautiful women in their prime.
@@Enruler Huh? Pam Grier aged really well. She's 48 in this movie.
Angela Basset though....
Winston didn't have to look very hard to find Ordell. Ordell gave the Compton address to Max when paying Beaumont's bond
I thought it was funny when Max knocked hard on the door and Ordell came out all pissed off, "Why are you knockin' on this door like the motherfuckin' po-leece?!"
I'd have to re-watch the movie to see if that truly mattered (if he had other locations, etc.).... but, even if that was the case, all three of them needed a fluid story to make plausible and seamless so the cops wouldn't have motivation to have interest in any of them!!!!
This dues in a leather jacket, jeans and the two strap sandals with socks 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The 90s man
Especially for a cop 😂
Pam Grier stay fine no matter the decade
Damn skippy.

You can't expect her to look amazing forever, right?
I love that Micheal Keaton was in a Tarantino flic so many great characters
The line-up in this movie is outstanding. My favorite Tarantino movie.
No kidding was young when it came out but I loved it as a child and still love it today all his films are magnificent
I love that he rocked up in Out of Sight just to prove it was the same character. Just like Carla Gugino turning up in Justified to be the same character (although Lopez originated her).
It's been theorized that your hearing is the last thing to go before you completely die. In other words, Ordell, while his body is limp, and even mostly dead, can still hear every word they are saying before he passes on. That's really "rubbing" the revenge in your face...wild stuff.
even if true can the brain really process what is being said? some people you talk to them when theyre awake and fine and it goes in one ear and outthe other so when your more or less dead im pretty sure it would be that x 100
I have “died” it’s true, but for like 20 seconds. I was aware of people and sounds and those all disappeared real quick.
The unconscious dying mind is definitely a trip.

I so wished he took her offer and traveled to Spain. Such a well performed scene, simple with sincere undertones of joy.
Robert Foster was perfectly cast as Cherry,Also read the book by Elmore Leonard.
If I’m not mistaken, Ordell is the only dead body they show in the entire movie. We didn’t see Beaumont’s, Melanie’s or Louis dead bodies. I’ve wondered if Tarantino had a reason behind that
we see Louis dead in the car. Tarrantino gives the audience what they wanted - Ordell's shocked eyes when he realised its over.
If they show beaumont's body i would've been sad.
Looooo-issssss
@@LPCLASSICAL he wasn’t dead but in a state of shock when Ordell shot him the first time, technically we don’t see his dead body.

The best movie Tarantino ever made
This is the most normal Tarantino mivie for me.
imagine the shame and dishonour of being killed by a man wearing socks with strap on sandals

This is the kind of woman most real men dream of: Hot enough that you would not hesitate upon, Cool enough that you could get along with, and smart enough that you could have a genuine future with, should you be man enough to be her type, and wise enough that your children would have a real future if they listened to her as well.
Yup
No. Max knew what s up.
Youd have to be a dumb mfer to think you can have a LTR with a woman like that. Wouldnt last.
Nah
"Never borrowed someone else's car before?" Is such a brilliant line it says so much about Jackie's character
That was Robert Forster?! The same dude who played the Lebanese Terrorist in The Delta Force?! Wow! Crazy
Robert Forster was great in this. RIP.
I forgot that Mr Mom was in the movie. This is probably Tarantino's best film. 😎
No that's one of Multiplicities Keaton's the one that said she touched my pee pee
😅😂
Ok, Grandpa........
Tarantino sure does have a twisted sense of fashion humour. Dressing Keaton as a HiFi audiophile. I used to work in the industry once upon a time. Those socks and sandals give me nightmares 😅
he really should've went
In my mind, there's an extended scene where he gets that postcard and the last scene is Max in LAX taking a one way ticket to Barcelona.
After the movie ended, he went on to become Ed "The Disappearer" Galbraith.
I love wearing socks and sandals but if I were to knowingly head into a conflict situation I feel like I'd opt to wear some shoes at least 😂
babe offers extra 50 g, guy refuses
she proposes holiday in madrid to celebrate their success, guy refuses
she offers it to him on a platter, he refuses
WTF !?
Stefano, there are some things you encounter in life, without even trying them, you know deep down inside that just one taste will hook you forever, & lead you down a road that will be the end of you. Max knew Jackie was a great thing that would be his undoing if he went with her, & he turned her down for his own good. I always really liked Max Cherry, but I'll admit, when I was a younger man, I too thought he was crazy for saying no. I'd have jumped in with both feet, & accepted the consequences just for the memories alone. But Max was wise enough to know better, probably because he was old enough that the little head wasn't calling the shots.😏

A honest bondsman.
That's a great scene at the end.
I can't watch this scene without thinking how douchey Keaton looks in the strap sandals and socks @0:13.
This Scene had 1 Flaw thst bugs me, but its the Paramedic still in me internally: Keaton's character using his thumb to check for Robbie's pulse. The problem is the thumb has a pulse on it as well. Maybe Tarantino didn’t know or directed Micheal Keaton to do it that way, but that always bugged me

Pam Grier was the ultimate femme fatale in this movie. She was sexy, beautiful, and outsmarted everyone. When she walked out of jail and Robert Forster was waiting for her...there was something about her that was so seductive...he never had a chance.
