There was a time when a lady didn't leave the house unless she was as carefully groomed as she could possibly be. It wasn't about money, it was about self respect. You kept your hair and nails clean and tidy. You kept your clothes clean, pressed and repaired and shoes polished. When you went out, you put on a neat little hat, put on clean gloves, picked up a purse that matched your polished or buffed shoes. You checked yourself in a mirror to make sure your make up was right, that your hair was tidy and your hat was on properly. Alright then. Out the door. Head up.
Thats me in a nutshell i never leave the house unless i am done up nice my moms excoworker said when he saw a pick of for the first time now that's a lady
I never leave the house unless I'm absolutely presentable. Treat yourself as you want others to treat you!
Actually society standards were a bit different back then. I saw a video from around the 40's and 50's and they basically shamed women into wearing their make-up a certain way and dressing a certain way. Nowadays people don't really care what others think and dress how they want without having to be shamed into it.

This was a normal makeup routine and then she put on the lipstick so perfectly and all of a sudden I was transported to 1955!

I love this! Life seems so much simpler back then and fun, love the dresses, hats and shoes, furniture...reminds me when I was a child although I was born in 1956. The music is fun as well. Women were dressed classy.

I love this! Nyx is one of my favorite brands! Their liquid eyeliner might as well be waterproof!! That stuff doesn't move. Also I loved that you did a dark red for this look. I love dark red lipstick!

It’s so great to see a young person respect the years of the past. She is so needed in todays world. I grew up in the 60’s/70’s/80’s. Born in 1959. Those were the days compared to now. How crazy the world is now. It’s peaceful to see her in her world. Breath of fresh air.

I love your channel and your a beautiful lady. Hate to burst everyone’s bubbles about the 50’s we had our challenges too. Everyone wasn’t all hunky dory. I was raising my four kids and my husband couldn’t find work a lot of the time. It was a time of peace tho and ladies dressed like ladies. I do miss that. None of this jeans or shorts stuff. And men dressed descent also.

I appreciate your videos and you have calming voice. One tip for contour is take your shade for hollows of cheek starting at angle of ear downward. As swiping where your brush begins to left stop and repeat. The drag will not be thick, give smoother look and less product. Ear,down,lift until shade and shape desired.

you should start using a really good styled wig, it would save so much time and energy.
I have been wanting to get some fun colored wigs to use to switch it up. I really don’t mind styling my hair though. It takes between 5-20 minutes depending on the style. Not too bad!
