This old hang glider pilot and now fixed wing pilot can't quite believe the control authority those bag wings have, frigging awesome!

Oh yeah, its very controllable especially if you time the pendulum swing like a pro. But, these advance wings are a bit scary for a noob like me because of sudden collapses like this 1:50, because the opening is so tiny on the leading edge. Also, the fact that they're using speed bar on a heavily loaded wing. A beginner wing has large opening and is harder to collapse

What is the phenomenon called when the glider seems to get pulled into the pylon? You can see it at 1:21.

      Let's not complicate it!

The upper part of a wing creates low pressure zones, something big and not rigid like those pilons get sucked in the low pressure zones

Wow ...they just crash like it's nothing...and in water...damn. I'd like to hear how they prepare to go into the water.
I realize that they didn't do any of those on purpose, and they're not deluded so as to believe that crashes happen without consequences, yet they push the envelope anyway.
I hope everybody is OK. I'd like to hear their thoughts on the way they fly
