Awesome reaction (as I knew it would be)! You were of course completely right about the flare thing, only it didn't go off - hence the death stare to the crew who then ran out and lit it for him. I agree, both the build up and the guitars are awesome in this song. I've never thought of it as "revving up", but that's a perfect analogy! I also love the reactions of people when the guy is lit on fire. You of course knowing the band knew it was a stunt as soon as it happened, but you'd be surprised by how many who are actually uncertain if it was a random fan or not! I find Paul's reaction a bit funny as well, when the"fan" runs up on stage. He's all like "what? who's this?" and like you said; "security!", while in real life, if a fan runs up on stage during their performance he simply won't acknowledge them at all. With Benzin though, it's like you always say; "Acting!"
LoL! Thanks Stine. Yeah, the flare didn't go off. I'm glad I was wrong/right. :) Yeah, I dunno if "revving up" is the right word... it's more like, it's struggling to get through or something, the guitar it's catching back its breath, I dunno, LoL! LoL, again... just like last week's Keine Lust, this is another perfect video for a first time reactor to Rammstein. :D "Wow, did they actually kill that guy?" LoL!
Good morning here from Italy...Benzin...one of their most theatrical performance....all you can imagine and over in that!our guys are crazy!🤣in the right way🤣🤟enjoy your reaction as usual!🤟👌
i saw a paul landers interview from Eslovenia and told that they all enjoy pain in concert with all the fire . when they play Sonne if the fire goes for long they can burn their eyes and when Till knees down is for the heat . when is too much heat for everyone Schneider makes a trick and the tech fire guy turn off the fire. is the same here ... this kids love fire ... Benziiiin
Till shouts "Get out of here!" (Hab au hir) and "Fuck off!" (Verpissdich!) at the "stage invader" just before he sets him alight. The real give away is the look that he gives the audience. Great shock value though.
Sorry the German "hurts" a bit. It is "Hau ab hier" and "Verpiss Dich". But very close indeed. :-) Greatings from an Austrian. Thatfore I am not so perfect in English. ;-)
@@fionadowdeswell-simmons4968 Thank you. Don't worry, just did it, if someone is among the audience who are learning German. ;-) Everything alright. I know that German is a difficult language. ;-)
👧 yes, they were hireing a stuntman for this performance where Till sets the man on fire. But they don't do it anymore... It was only a special effect for this live concert tour.
And if you see them live at some point, don't run onto the stage. To much fire coming from all directions even fron the floor of the stage. The band members know when to stand where, you would be fried alive.
For me personally one of Rammstein's weaker titles. The lyrics are good. Otherwise everything else below average. I'm just missing something. The highlight here is really just the burning man. Otherwise the song is about a man who is nothing more important than fire. A pyromaniac. Lyrics: [Verse 1] I need time No heroin, no alcohol, no nicotine Don't need help No caffeine But dynamite and turpentine [Chorus] I need oil for gas Explosive like kerosine With lots of octane and without lead A fuel like Gasoline, gasoline, gasoline, gasoline, gasoline, gasoline [Verse 2] Don't need a friend No cocaine Don't need a doctor nor medicine Don't need a woman, just vaseline A bit of nitroglycerine [Chorus] I need money for gasoline Explosive like kerosine With lots of octane and without lead A fuel like Gasoline [Bridge] It flows through my veins It slumbers in my tears It runs out of my ears Heart and kidneys are engines Gasoline [Verse 3] If you want to run away from something Then you have to burn it Don't you want to see it again? Let it swim in gasoline Gasoline I need gasoline Gasoline
That's the obvious interpretation anayways (which is always my go-to reaction at first). I read one theory though, about it being about the thirst and hunt for oil; and by extention power, in the world. Which is the source of a lot of conflicts. Kind of like you see in the Amerika video, whit the guy praying to an oil field. Till also denied in an interview once that it was about the band's love for pyrotechnics, though he didn't want to explain anything more. Take that how you will. I personally find it much more interesting that way :) And also I love the sound of it in general. What's one of your favourites of theirs?
@@TomTomson81 Those are some cool songs! Ich tu dir weh was a favourite at first, but it has settled somewhere in the middle for me now. Heirate Mich and Spring are higher up on the list for me, as is Hilf Mir and Mehr. With Sonne on the top! :D

I really like the use of transparent words through the song to make in undestandable by everyone. You were right for the tool on his left hand, he had a flare but it didn't ignite (?) that why someone from the back had to light up his flamethrower manually. In regards to the stunt man, It's nice from a show persepective to play the game until the very end, when the guy salutes the crowd near Richard he's immediately taken away by the security. It's a nice touch for the crowd who never saw this performance, it leaves a tiny doubt about if it was real or not.
LoL! Yeah, I hear you. They played it all the way 'till the end. I guess this is why they don't pull this act to often, as you can see it coming, once you know about it. You can say the same about the other songs, but this one has a live element and I don't think it will work the same.
Haha. Did you notice the shocked faces in the audience for a moment. Priceless.
LoL! I was taken by surprise, myself! :D It was totally unexpected. :)
