    When he says that they have to do things bolder than murder to get attention, I think he's being cheeky about the media making a big deal of them every time they do something a little spicy, while actual terrible things sometimes slip by.

    Flake does have a real tattoo! It's an anchor with his wife's name on his shoulder. From his book: "I also had my tattoo done backstage. My colleagues just shook their heads when they saw the result. I wanted it to look as if it had been done in the GDR prison, but the tattoo artist didn't understand that. He didn't speak German and didn't know what a GDR was supposed to be. There were only people tattooed there who were in prison, and so they looked justifiably dangerous. I did not look dangerous. When I saw the picture on my arm, I laughed. I still feel that way when I pass a mirror."

    I have to agree with the other comments. I think a lot gets lost in translation and often times Flake (or everyone in the band) is a lot more honest and serious than people think. I don’t know, I’ve read his books and listen to his radio show regularly, to me it makes perfect sense what he is saying and it doesn’t seem to me like he is just trolling. Sometimes he has some unique perspectives on things and he is not afraid to say them and that I admire. He is authentic...yes, even with fake tattoo sleeves 🤣
    The guys from Rammstein don’t tell people/interviewers what they want to hear, but what is true for them. And I can imagine that it sucks, when people ask you to explain your art to them, especially when they come to you with an already made up opinion.
    The guy also interviewed Till. If you want to check it out, they appear in the last five to ten minutes or so of the video.

    To be fair to the interviewer, I did watch some of the episodes of this series a few years ago and he admitted that there are some things that he doesn’t quite understand, for example European power-metal…I guess because it’s just too far away - geographically and culturally. So I’m not surprised that he didn’t understand Rammstein. And if you are not really familiar with the music, the lyrics and maybe also the background, the first thing you notice are the visuals and they can shock people. But Till and Flake were nice enough to explain to him, that that’s not what Rammstein is all about 😋

      Thanks for the link. I have to admit, that I was watching only this part of it. Well, I also think, if you are doing such interviews, you should research about the band. I do not only think so, they told us, never to something like this, without knowing anything and I have a level 8 degree in digital Film production. This is anything else as good, what the interviewer does there.
      But I also love Flake's answer and know exactly what you are saying. Since 2017 I live in Ireland, but it always brings me a smile, when I see that Flake's podcast is out and those nearly 2 hours are always too short. I could listen to him the whole day. Have a nice weekend. ❤

    Oh you got to it. Thank you for reacting to this. He is trolling even with his look. Notice the fake tattoo sleeves.

    At the end Flake is very polite and friendly, so I would say he was being more or less candid, maybe he played a bit, I don't know.
    I would like to hear him talk about how the onstage interaction between him and Till developed. On stage, he seems like an
    anti-Till. Till's like a tower of cement and Flake's always moving, jittery, in sparkly outfits, etc.

    If you look up Rammstein - Schneider and Till interview uploaded by RammsteinHQ that is a classic troll interview. The interviewer is SOO bad that they can just tell and end up trolling him to make it fun 😅 its got a song spliced in you can just skip over. Its in English to

    Greetings and Love from Germany again. Cause of the bad translation of what Flake said, you got him wrong. You're right with this Interviewer. He just asked stupid questions. Flake didnt fool arround. He is not comfortable in interviews and his englisch knowlegde is very limited..PEACE & stay safe 🤘 🌈

    Do I need to get patreon for you to react to schlaf ein by Lindemann?

    • @xsezz
      @xsezz  Год назад

      LoL, no! Lindemann is a separate list. I don't know if you read my last message but basically Lindemann is taken care of by my team. I'm not the one deciding which songs are next. They have a system they follow and I'm not messing with it as it helps me a lot. Patience, it will come.

    I thought I saw Flake with a tattoo? Unless it was fake or like drawn on.... I don't remember exactly where I saw it..i think it was an anchor on his upper back or arm or maybe chest? I don't know but I remember seeing and thinking oh I didn't know he had any tattoos?

    I don't think that Flake wanted to mess with the dude on purpose. He himself does not know what he has to say before it falls out of his mouth, I think. I love him for that. Because the answers don't matter. Not really. The other dude has his view on the band (and clearly not a very accurate one) and nothing Flake could ever say, would change that. So he amuses himself by randomly saying stuff that comes to his mind on a whim. He often does that. That is exactly the way his books are written.

  • @StockpileThomas1

    I don't think he's trolling. That's just his peculiar dry German humor. I think he's mostly honest here, the joke is he's telling it in a very naive way.

    In my opinion Flake is not fooling around, this is just him. He is a bit weird anyway. And some things he say only sound strange in the translation.
    Edit: oh looks like everyone wrote the exact comment, lol

    Oh there is truth it’s just the way he is saying it and acting. It’s completely not Flake at all. Also he is pretending he doesn’t understand English and have a translator when in fact he does speak some English.

    • @heidilist9226
      @heidilist9226 Год назад

      Yes, but have you heard him speak in English? 😀 I shouldn’t say that - not only because I have a terrible accent myself, but also because it’s more important what a person says than how and his stories are really interesting: ruclips.net/video/oGpn-aBBcgo/видео.html
      He doesn’t pretend to not understand; he answers the questions immediately and doesn’t wait for a translation. It’s much easier to understand a foreign language than to speak it. He did this in other interviews too. This one from 98 is hilarious: ruclips.net/video/zwoSUcIOWqs/видео.html

      @@heidilist9226 you are right. I only now remember that he said in his book that his English isn’t that good. I just thought it might have been an extension to the trolling. But you are right.

    did you find the interview really funny? that was actually meant seriously. just because it's not mainstream doesn't make it funny. but you Americans probably have a different sense of humor there...😏 and don't contradict Flake's opinion! you're not that omniscient either. it's not an American tralala band..🤢
