the whole band holds certifications to handle them, Till has the accreditation to Design the pyro setups (that came about after some unfortunate mishaps with audience members in early performances) but Nikolai Sabottka has designed their set for a bit now-either way they are always impressive
Native German Speaker here In the lyrics there is no indecision at all because in the lyrics is no "Yes and No" but only "No" the verse is literally word by word: You have me asked. (= German word order = broken down into You (Du), You have (Du hast), You have me (Du hast mich), You have me asked (Du hast mich gefragt) = basically "You have asked me" And I said nothing. (meaning "I didn´t reply to your question") the chorus is the church wedding vow which is asked by the priest to both of the couple seperately during the wedding ceremony directly before he declares the couple to be married - and - he answered the 2 questions of 1."eternal loyalty for the partner" 2 "eternal love for the partner" both with a clear "No" even twice 2 times (that´s very decisive and not indecisive..just saying)= basically he is blowing the wedding in front of the altar in the very last second. So basically the song implies that the girl dragged him in front of the altar without having his consent and so he left her right there in front of the altar. BUT there is an - auditive - word play in place in the first sentence by tricking the mind´s first thought in the way that sentence is performed...because as long as the in single words repeated broken down first sentence "You have asked me" isn´t finished with the last word "gefragt/asked" the sentence hasn´t the right context because it sounds as like as saying "You, You hate, You hate me" because "Du hast mich/You have me" and "Du hasst mich/You hate me" sounds exactly the same. (It´s kinda as like for instance saying in English "My, My deer, My deer has " but you very likely will mishear "My dear has" because it will be "your first thought" and only the last word will then reveal if it´s actually "dear" or actually "deer" by then finishing the sentence with the closing word "antlers" = that´s kinda how that worked with "Du hast") But in the aftermath of the song the misheard "You hate me" - although it wasn´t said - gets context because of the following chorus because the chorus implies that he left her at the wedding ceremony which is for her very likely a huge embarrassment..and for doing that to her she might hate him now. The open question is : Was he just mean...or... was he to such an extent under her thumb that only in the face of the altar he got finally his shit together and parted which he should have done way long ago.
Well maybe listen to that part again, because there is a high, slightly ethereal voice singing "jaaaaa", before the hard "Nein!" comes. Therefore it IS a matter of weighing the potential reply.
Absolutely a perfect explanation and totally makes perfect sense. Thank you this. Inflection.... How words are verbally spoke has such a impact on meaning. Thank you

Rammstein songs are usually pretty straight forward with their message if you take the lyrics literally. The deeper meaning behind their songs often get lost in translation. The song is actually about toxic relationships or even marriage and not an conflict in one persons mind.
You at 4:28 in is exactly how it feels to be at a Rammstein show. It's an experience, not just a concert. Go and see them if you can. Its a must see, even if you don't necessary love the music.
I personlly think you realy should go see them IF you like the music... dont go if not to many cant go see them because of people who dont even like there music. That as well destroyes the crowed at such lovley concerts. but yeah it is unique and creasy overwhelming.@@MartinQvistTyron
That's the problem with an foreign Language. He sings Du Hast, which means You have. But you can say Du Hasst. Sounds similar but means You hate "me". Greetings from Germany
@@BenCoultryAfishallthere's another double entendre in the 4th chorus. There he sings about the death of the vagina and to be trustful to her even in bad days 😂😂😂
remember! this is a french audience! french have a lot of pride over their language, but the whole audience sings/shouts the lyrics in german the. when you see Till putting his hands to his mouth and screaming to the audience he shouts: "Chante" that mean SING in French.
@@BenCoultryAfishall Well, the whole sentence Till sings is "Du hast mich gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagt." This means "You [have] asked me and I [have] said nothing." So "You have" is actually the name of the song and mostly what he is singing in the music, but of course he plays around with the similar sounding "You hate", so to an extent both are true here. There's also some other homophones he uses in this song to distort the meaning.
Oh man…Rammstein has some seriously thought provoking tracks. You’ve gotta peep “Mein Herz Brennt”, the piano version. It is HAUNTING. Also, their live performance of “Engel” is also phenomenal. Both have a lot to chew on psychologically!! Cheers
Rammstein's shows are on a whole other world level. Seen them in San Antonio and there was so much heat from the fire show that we were sweating through our clothes. The whole crowd woke up the next day with a smoker's cough! Amazing show!!!!
I was fortunate enough to see them a few years ago as the final act on the first night of a new music festival, they were the only reason I went, and even though it was a ‘small’ venue with toned down pyrotechnics, they had these canons that shot massive fireballs and you could feel the heat all the way across the stadium. It was absolutely f*cking nuts, and this is coming from someone who owns a flamethrower. 😂
You just saw the best live band in the world and the greatest rock/metal show on the road these days. The masters of pyro, fire, lightening, lyrics and industrial metal (electronic/dance metal). Living legends with the same line up about 30 years
Hey Taylor! Thanks for your reaction to this song. Rammstein has lots of other songs that might be something for you. Almost every song has a deep meaning and I’m sure, that you’d like them - especially because of your psychological background. Therefore I‘d recommend the songs „Zeit“, „Angst“, „Deutschland“ and „Mein Herz brennt (piano Version)“. I‘d also recommend to look up the translation of the lyrics while watching. And please don‘t miss the outros :) Thanks again - and have fun 😊
When you hear the song as a German native speaker, you´re torn between double meanings: "du hast" means you have, while "du hasst" means you hate, pronounced the same way.
What a load of garbage! It is one sentence, sung in components first, then in its entirety. No hating going on in here!! A musical, compositional tool. Nothing else. Used many times before.

Du hast means you have, du hasst means you hate and they're pronounced in almost the same way. If you get a chance to see them live, do it. Best show I've ever seen.
I wanted to see them live since 'sonne' came out. Now it has become so expensive I will never be able to. It became Impossible. They sell out hotels a year in advance.
Definiately. Especially songs from the first 3 albums (including Mutter). They could be quite disturbing. I would be very interested in listening the other possible interpretations of their world... Btw I just learned in the comments section a closer/alternate meaning of this song by meeting the "du hasst mich" expression. Thus I didn't see this song being too deep before, only thinking on the "du hast mich" = "you have me" meaning. But this way it fits more into the Rammstein rabbit hole for me :D
Witnessed this song in 2022 live. The presentation of this song is even better then. While it's not my favorite live song of theirs (Sonne (live) is epic), their live shows are insanely good.
Watching a Rammstein concert means you get a different theatrical production with EVERY SINGLE SONG!!! Try "Engel" and "Ich tu Dir weh" Live from Madison Square Garden. Plus watch some of their Official Videos like: "Sonne", "Dicke Titten", "Zeit", "Zick Zack" .................................
You are missing the most important part. He just not only say "Du hast mich" (you have), but also you can read it as "Du hasst mich..." (You hate me..)
Great reaction. I can only recommend continuing the Rammstein journey. Their personalities and their often controversial but deep lyrics must be very interesting for a therapist. 😁 And without any question… their shows and video productions are next level. They put so much effort and money in it. It’s simply amazing. Please keep digging deeper the rabbit hole. Liked the reaction and will follow your channel.👍
My first exposure to this song was in '98 at an indoor Supercross race at the MGM in Vegas during intermission. Concert quality audio, and it brought the entire crowd to life, great way to get hooked on a song!
to be honest, lyrically this isn't one of their deepest tracks. But their live shows are awesome, their music videos are absolutely stunning and many of their lyrics are much more deeper and have double and triple meanings. I subbed, waiting for more reactions to Rammstein - They are GREAT! Especially live! Edit: imagine a french croud singing german lyrics - nothing like that has ever happened before. The french (especially after WW2) are very restricted on their own language with laws how much foreign music is allowed to be played on their radio and how much has to be in french language - awesome what Rammstein did there.
I'm almost 70, been a fan since 1996 when I retired from the british army. Lived 14 years stationed in Germany. Saw them recently in Brussels Belgium, outstanding show.
The ABSOLUTE best and most elaborate live performances I have ever scene in my life. If you ever get a chance, jump on it!! Like it's bucket list worthy. For real!!
Rammstein is known for their suggestive lyrics. Yes it’s a song about wedding and vows, but the feel of the song suggests it’s not a positive song. It’s embodied in the wordplay of ‘you hate me’ which becomes ‘you asked me and I didn’t answer’. The lyrics don’t say much, but combined with the harsh industrial sound, the meaning of Rammstein songs has to be felt imo.
German here. What does not stop amazing me is that his is Paris and you have a concert hall full of (I guess) mostly Frensh people singing along in German ... which is pretty impressive giving out complicated past.
If you have a chance to attend a concert of theirs I highly recommend. I've been to one recently and I've bowed to attend every year they come to my country. The band and the show are amazing.

Love that you can rock out to Rammstein. They’re definitely not for everyone but they are so good especially live. I got to see them live in the US a few years ago and they put on a complete production and show. They played nonstop for 4 hours its was insane.
Fun Fact because it wasnt mentioned yet - the "dance move" Till does at 0:42 onwards resultet from an accident on stage in the late 90s where he dislocated his kneecap and hammered it back in place like this. It was so iconic that it resulted in this dance coming over and over again
if you would love to react to more of ramstein i would highly recomend Mutter or Sonne, these are slower and more melodic songs with i think even deeper meaning. but this was great introduction for you
Great reaction. I'm a fan since '97. The song that got me was "Engel"- Angel. It was such a unique sound. And they surprise and fascinate me to this day. Btw same lineup from the beginning. What fascinates me are the lyrics (most, not all song). A lot of them have double meaning. Which is a result where all bandmembers grew up, in the GDR. Most lyrics are written in a poetry style and a some are quite heavy subjects, taboos in western societies. They took a lot of heat for that. Society doesn't want to be bothered with taboos. Curious to see, what you think about songs like "Wiener Blut"- Viennese blood (Josef Fritzl), 'Ich tu dir weh"- I hurt you or "Mein Teil- my part"(Armin Meiwes). As well as lighter songs like "Seemann- Seaman" or "Frühling in Paris- spring in Paris", "Zeit-time". Looking forward to see more reactions from you to Rammstein. With love from Germany ❤🤘🏻
I've been to their concerts 6 times, seens alot or artist like slipknot ect. But Rammstein dont make music, they make art. Best experiences of my life. The atmosphere is indescribable
I just found your channel and it is awesome! Cried my eyes out in the first 2 videos. Please do one on "Heirate mich", by Rammstein. That would sure be interesting :P
Rammstein's gigs are another level... but "du hast" is ambiguous. They tease at first saying "du, du hast mich", which could be translated as "you, you have me" or "you have [insert another verb here] me", and they go on to say "du hast mich gefragt und ich hab 'nichts' gesagt', which means "you have [asked - the verb inserted here] me and I said 'no'". And then, they go on about not wanting to spend their lives together with someone ahahaha If there are any Germans around to correct me, I will be greatful, cause I am Brazilian hahahaha German is my favorite language ever and the one I can speak the least :P
Also, not to get you 'biased', but Rammstein's songs are all full power critiques, so... "Rosenrot" is about abusive relationships, "Ich will" is about the never-ending search for success and how people act when they get there, "Stirb nicht for me - Don't die before I do", personally feels like the lengths to which loneliness could take you, "Sonne" sounds like drug addiction, "Amerika" is an obvious ironically criticism-loaded song... even "Das Modell", which they recorded over Kraftwerk's hit song for "Domino"'s soundtrack is heavy af... lots of material if you wanna go down international songs
Rammstein have always been my band, my band that looks after me when i need help. When the dark becomes too much Rammstein help me find the light again. I have been a fan for the past 24 years, but only in the past few years have i actually taken time and been studying German, this has taken my love so much further for this band. Two days after christmas 2020 i lost my Dad, who i had not seen since my wedding (weeks before the UK went into full lockdown) I was allowed to travel to sort funeral arrangements (by this point we were in our second full lockdown) I was numb or i was a sobbing mess, there was no inbetween. Over time i managed to pick up the broken pieces and Rammstein were right there with me. Skip forward to summer 2022, i was front row at Rammstein in Coventry, when the band hit the stage, i felt like i could breathe for the first time since losing my Dad... surrounded by thousands of likeminded people all screaming along to our favourite band. They saved my life more times than any other band. Music is so so powerful.
Great reaction as always !!! And like all the reactions of this song and this live, as a French I must say that it's not nothing to a band to make thousands of French singing in german ahah
The best way to get into Rammstein, is their live performances, dont get me wrong some of their music is absolute master class, but when you combine that with their stage show, chefs kiss. The funny thing is Du Hasst, live is probably their most tame live performance, aside from maybe Engel. Ooh and for a reccomendation Engel, Rammstein, live version A quick side note, Till Lindeman, is probably one of the most interesting frontmen out there. He is not just the lead vocalist, but also the bands lead pyrotechnician. Beyond that, he is an artist, pure and simple, if you should choose to watch Engel, pay close attention to his persona on stage, even if you shut off the music and just watched the video of his performance i think you might fully understand what he ks trying to convey, it is a bit haunting, and it doesnt end when the song ends, even the way that he exits the stage fewls like he is still very much in character.
I've seen them twice live and have seen a LOT of bands but there shows especially in bigger arenas where they can have the full show is the best I've seen
Oh Rammstein has one of the greatest pyro shows ever, in their last iteration a couple of years ago I went to the largest version of it they ever made, in Mexico City, it was a thing of amazement, they spent over a million dollars per night in pyro effects and you could feel the heat all around, they had about 8 pyro towers across a racing stadium and the field, I'll never forget that night
Thanks for your breakdown of the lyrics. I've always loved this song because it is face-metlingly cool, but this has given me something to think about;
Rammstein has always been the pinnacle of artistry, in my opinion. They've pushed boundaries and Till the lead singer has set himself on fire on multiple occasions. All with meaning and spectacle in mind.
Hey there girl these guys are high energy and put on a monster show. I imagine that the treadmill is connected to generators. The keyboard man is powering the show! I've read that their contract states No Fire, No Show!! Wait until he gets a bow looking thing and shoots it. I have notice that at their shows the crowd sings in German. Even in France!! Very COOL........... Thanks girl..........
So close, but it's not about "do I want to get married." It's about the the tense dynamics in an already existing relationship. Not a moment of indecision, but a cold fire. You see, du hast mich = you have me. Du hasst mich = you hate me. Pronunciation almost identical. You have me / you hate me. At the same time. And then you asked me and I said nothing. Do you want to be faithful, etc. Having been in this exact relationship more than once, it rings very true. And you develop a kind of perverse male joy in pushing that button which is so paradoxical and so pointless. Oh, you have me. And you hate me. So what are you going to do about it? Oh, how do I feel about it? Tell you what bunches of looooove, I've said my stuff already, I don't have anything more to say...
I think it's both. It's a tense relationship, although worse, she sounds coercive. She's proposed, possibly several times, but he's not consented to marriage. Then it comes to a head. She might have literally told him to get ready for a friend's wedding, or bullied him, who knows, but now he's at his own wedding that he's never given true consent to. And he feels she wants to have him, but realises it's actually more like she hates him, finds the courage to shout 'No' at the top of his voice to the vows, and walks away. Free :)
there so much power being in an audience that size all you feel is the power of the band and those about you I wish ihad had a chance to gogin to see Rammstein
Apart from the pyrotechnics and the tune being a banger. This has been insightful. Scratching the surface of German industrial, be worth having a look at Combichrist and their live version of They/never surrender and get out of my head.
I saw Rammstein back in 1998 when they were touring America. I believe for the first time for this album. It was an eclectic mishmash of artists but I went there specifically for Rammstein who if memory serves me correctly, played their set right before the headliners Korn. That one song does not do them Justice in person. They are pyromaniacs or at least they were at the time from wearing a fire retardant trench coat while singing a ballad to actually pulling out a flamethrower and waving it out over the crowd and all the other pyrotechnics that you see in this video. In 98 I was 22 and it was surreal seeing a band do this kind of stuff. I still remember the heat coming off of the stage curling my lashes LOL. And seeing the size of this crowd in Paris dwarfing the size of my stadium in my hometown probably by 10 or 20 times. The size was incredible but the audience was no less engaged There have always been a couple songs on each album that have raised an eyebrow or created some sort of controversy or dialogue. I love your channel. Love how you break down the songs with an authenticity, professionalism and empathy. Although this is a Rammstein video, I cannot wait to see you continue to go down the rabbit hole of Ren 🤘🥰 keep up the great work!
I bought my first Rammstein record in 95/96 at a gas station as I needed something to play in the car for a long journey. Had no Idea what it was but omg it hit me like a ton of bricks and I probably broke every speed record that night. Been a fan ever since.
The stage cost 6 million four days to assemble and disassemble it takes about 100 bus and literal glob masters to haul the stage around the world. They go hard.
Rammstein performances are truly one-of-a-kind. I remember standing on the opposite (long) side of a hockey rink and still being hit by those heatwaves from the pyrotechnics. Epic. I did study German for a few years in school, so it was always a good challenge to piece together the lyrics, which I found challenging because of allegories, likeness or so on. Sometimes it was brutally clear. You should follow this up with 'Tier' ( Animal ). You are in for a "interesting" time. Or perhaps "Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?". Do dig in, they do explore human nature in their early work.
I’m new to this channel but I really like it. I don’t know how your song request system works but I just want to say “The Downward Spiral” album would be perfect for a video at some point if you’re looking for recommendations. I don’t know if you do albums or only individual songs, but its a chronological story with a lot of things that would fit with this channel and speaking about mental health.
Amazing concert. Also something to think about. A German group who sings in mostly German doing concerts in the USA and selling out stadiums. I saw them at the alamo dome on the same tour as the video, it was amazing.
I saw these guys back in 2001-2002 in Hartford Connecticut. They were the opening act, second act System of a down when toxicity dropped, headliner was Slipknot. What an amazing show. Also Rammstein's pyrotechnics were incredible, they had gasmasks with dildos attached to them that shot out a 20-30 foot flame of fire over the general admission crowd. Man what a show
#1 comment of all new Rammsteinistas: "Is that guy on a TREADMILL?" Yes, dear child, he is. Welcome to the Rammstein rabbit hole. You'll notice early on the boys all look a bit of a mess- that's flash cream slathered all over them to keep them from being burned on stage. I would offer a list of videos to see, but the discovery is an adventure in itself :D
When you get the chance, check out the piano version of "mein herz brennt"(spell check that) by Rammstein. Extremely powerful song, made even harder with the delicate undertones of the piano compared to the og version. Fun fact: The singer, Lindemann is a licensed pyrotechnician.
The song is illustrating that there's no such thing as everlasting love, and that all love/relationships are destined to deteriorate and die eventually. The lyrics are from the perspective of an ex-lover who looks back on the relationship and asks the other person whether they would still be so faithful and devoted to their partner if they were still together. The refrain poses the question: "Will you stay with me until death do us part; will you remain faithful to me all the days of our lives?" The "yes no" essentially says that the answer is "no", suggesting that the partner is not as faithful and loyal as they once claimed. The song is a reflection on relationships that ultimately can't hold up, and the feeling of disappointment in love that comes from this realisation.
This, to me, is a very strong statement on the unifying force of music, bringing people, that, might, not wanting to have anything to do with each other, together. Check out the video with Orphaned Land (ft. Hansi Kûrsch) - Like Orpheus, also a good example on that theme
I want to see Rammstein so bad! I was going to see them in the twin cities which is an hour from my house but it got canceled because of Covid 😩. Their shows are epic! They’ve attached flamethrowers to their guitars and even to their heads. They have a song Engel where they’ve strapped Til to a huge steel angel with flames shooting out of the wings
Love Rammstein. A lot of their songs can be about controversial and social topics but all in all they are a very entertaining band that helped me wanna learn German. The beauty of music is that when it is from a different country you would wanna learn more about their cultural background. :D Also, I wanted to give you a recommendation of a good song for you to check out: Queens Of The Stone Age - I Appear Missing That one is a great song about the singer Josh Homme going through a near death experience due to an injury and goes in detail of the toll it can take on one's psyche.
As some of Rammstein's songs address controversial themes in smart subtle ways - you often have to read between the lines - and sometimes have double entendres, I'd suggest you check out more of their songs. You'll have a ball analysing them, I think.
Till, lead singer, is a certified pyrotechnician and designs the effects in the shows.
From what I've been reading lately, apparently the whole band are all licensed pyrotecnitions
the whole band holds certifications to handle them, Till has the accreditation to Design the pyro setups (that came about after some unfortunate mishaps with audience members in early performances) but Nikolai Sabottka has designed their set for a bit now-either way they are always impressive
he is also maybe a raper which recognise all of his previos Recognitions.

In the lyrics there is no indecision at all because in the lyrics is no "Yes and No" but only "No"
the verse is literally word by word:
You have me asked. (= German word order = broken down into You (Du), You have (Du hast), You have me (Du hast mich), You have me asked (Du hast mich gefragt) = basically "You have asked me"
And I said nothing. (meaning "I didn´t reply to your question")
the chorus is the church wedding vow which is asked by the priest to both of the couple seperately during the wedding ceremony directly before he declares the couple to be married - and - he answered the 2 questions of 1."eternal loyalty for the partner" 2 "eternal love for the partner" both with a clear "No" even twice 2 times (that´s very decisive and not indecisive..just saying)= basically he is blowing the wedding in front of the altar in the very last second.
(It´s kinda as like for instance saying in English "My, My deer, My deer has " but you very likely will mishear "My dear has" because it will be "your first thought" and only the last word will then reveal if it´s actually "dear" or actually "deer" by then finishing the sentence with the closing word "antlers" = that´s kinda how that worked with "Du hast")
But in the aftermath of the song the misheard "You hate me" - although it wasn´t said - gets context because of the following chorus because the chorus implies that he left her at the wedding ceremony which is for her very likely a huge embarrassment..and for doing that to her she might hate him now.
The open question is : Was he just mean...or... was he to such an extent under her thumb that only in the face of the altar he got finally his shit together and parted which he should have done way long ago.
This. I came here to say this.
Well maybe listen to that part again, because there is a high, slightly ethereal voice singing "jaaaaa", before the hard "Nein!" comes. Therefore it IS a matter of weighing the potential reply.

You at 4:28 in is exactly how it feels to be at a Rammstein show. It's an experience, not just a concert. Go and see them if you can. Its a must see, even if you don't necessary love the music.
Needs to be an outdoor event with the full pyro setup - That show is INSANE ! ! !
I've known it as "you hate" since the 90s, so thank you lol (you hate me to say but I do anyway)
@@thomasfranz6467 shit the translation I'd seen was almost completely incorrect 😂
Later in the song, after he says no to the wedding vows, hasst certainly makes more sense.
@@muppdog390 Because a german speaker having fun with the ambiguity that can occure in spoken german is unheard off! Unless you have some official source to prove your claim you are just stating your opinion just like everyone else.
@@muppdog390 Nope. I AM a German speaker and it is exactly like I said. Pronounciationwise, it is clearly a deliberate play on words, double-meaning. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du_hast

I'm bipolar type I and Metal music greatly helps me to deal with the mood swings, especially the manic phases. The singers and the guitars scream so I don't have to. When I see a Metal band live I can headbang my problems into oblivion. 🤘❤🤘
I just found them, I'm 59 and so in love with Till, he's my inner me!
Bipolar. That needs to be rectified 😂
PS: ok, you need to understand electronics to get the joke 😅
@@GermanMythbuster Smart joke, and closer to the truth than you might think! i'm not going to give an electrobiology lesson, but some of the biological systems regulating the brain's electrical activity act like rectifyers. These systems being dysfunctional are one of the possible causes of bipolar disorders (formerly called manic depression).
@@Tiisiphonethat's fascinating. Please could you recommend something to read about that possibility?
@@cephale YT cens0rs my comment when I try to post links. Here are scientific articles about the effects of Metal music on mental health. They are quite complicated. If you g00gle "heavy metal mental health" you'll find articles more accessible to the layman.

Du hast means you have, du hasst means you hate and they're pronounced in almost the same way.
If you get a chance to see them live, do it. Best show I've ever seen.
You look like my daughter, but she is 4 years old😅
I saw this tour (Volkerball) and their pyro is amazing. And a LOT. Definitely an amazing live show.
I agree. I have gone to 20+ concerts. This was the best concert ever
I wanted to see them live since 'sonne' came out.
Now it has become so expensive I will never be able to.
It became Impossible.
They sell out hotels a year in advance.
Yes. But it switch between "you have" and "you hate" me.
You definitely need to go down the Rammstein rabbit hole. You won’t regret it. RAMMSTEIN!!!!! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Especially the 15 Rabbits rabbit hole and the Rabbits of Raven brook..... and the many others that wind their way through the German Stein.
Seen them live 5 times. I was at the msg show in 2010. That to this day was one of the best live show I’ve ever been to.
Deutschland, Ohne Dich, Ich Will, Radio...
It is one of THE best live shows I have ever seen! I saw them in Philadelphia in 2022.
Hi.. There, Re a lot of other good German bands,, try..
"Null positiv - wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer" (about war)..
"
You are missing the most important part. He just not only say "Du hast mich" (you have), but also you can read it as "Du hasst mich..." (You hate me..)
Great reaction. I can only recommend continuing the Rammstein journey. Their personalities and their often controversial but deep lyrics must be very interesting for a therapist. 😁 And without any question… their shows and video productions are next level. They put so much effort and money in it. It’s simply amazing. Please keep digging deeper the rabbit hole. Liked the reaction and will follow your channel.👍
I've seen them live 5 times and its always the most incredible show. Every time they come to the U.S. i go. Till is an amazing poet.
Rammstein has been together for 30 years and still has all the original members.
I have found that Puppe is a mind bender
Til is a licensed pyrotechnician and does all of the pyro for the shows. Watch the live version of Engel!!
Zeit will blow your mind
Another awesome video. I‘m looking forward to the next video. Also love your dance moves
I remember my first time seeing this performance. I was hooked. Simply breathtaking.
The pyro is awsome. I went to a show of theirs a few years ago. Best concert I've been to. They played for at least two hours.
Benn a first responder for 30 years. Served at the WTC, Katrina and many other scenes and places. Music, especially METAL has kept me sane in the worst of times and has always been my therapeutic release. It unites us all, carries us forward and comforts in the darkest of times. No matter who you are, what you do, your skin tone, religion, age or whatever...we ROCK TOGETHER and we all need to help one another. Ive been to hundreds of concerts over the years on 4 continents and without a doubt the METAL shows are always the most fun, entertaining, diverse and energetic. Thanks for letting us vent and express ourselves and hope you watched the entire RAMMSTEIN show in Paris. It is AMAZING!!
Saw them in New Jersey, amazing and most nicest crowd to be around, everyone is happy
if you would love to react to more of ramstein i would highly recomend Mutter or Sonne, these are slower and more melodic songs with i think even deeper meaning. but this was great introduction for you
Excellent reaction the only band I know that shoot rockets at their self’s on stage later.❤️😎🇺🇸
I love your reactions. You’ve helped me see bands like tool in more than a “hey that sounds cool” kind if way.
I've been to their concerts 6 times, seens alot or artist like slipknot ect. But Rammstein dont make music, they make art. Best experiences of my life. The atmosphere is indescribable
Got to see them last year in Madison Square Garden. I don't speak German, but I had a blast. The crowd singing back was mind blowing.
And then, they go on about not wanting to spend their lives together with someone ahahaha
If there are any Germans around to correct me, I will be greatful, cause I am Brazilian hahahaha German is my favorite language ever and the one I can speak the least :P
Two days after christmas 2020 i lost my Dad, who i had not seen since my wedding (weeks before the UK went into full lockdown)
I was allowed to travel to sort funeral arrangements (by this point we were in our second full lockdown) I was numb or i was a sobbing mess, there was no inbetween.
You need to keep on listening to them These guys have such a unique sound that I just can’t get away from.
The best way to get into Rammstein, is their live performances, dont get me wrong some of their music is absolute master class, but when you combine that with their stage show, chefs kiss.
The funny thing is Du Hasst, live is probably their most tame live performance, aside from maybe Engel.
Ooh and for a reccomendation
Engel, Rammstein, live version
A quick side note, Till Lindeman, is probably one of the most interesting frontmen out there.
I've seen them twice live and have seen a LOT of bands but there shows especially in bigger arenas where they can have the full show is the best I've seen
you actually feel the flames REALLY hot on your face when you see them live , one of the best concerts i ever was at
Oh Rammstein has one of the greatest pyro shows ever, in their last iteration a couple of years ago I went to the largest version of it they ever made, in Mexico City, it was a thing of amazement, they spent over a million dollars per night in pyro effects and you could feel the heat all around, they had about 8 pyro towers across a racing stadium and the field, I'll never forget that night
Most incredible fun i ever experienced in my 43 years! Saw them in chicago 22.❤❤
Thanks for your breakdown of the lyrics. I've always loved this song because it is face-metlingly cool, but this has given me something to think about;
Rammstein has always been the pinnacle of artistry, in my opinion. They've pushed boundaries and Till the lead singer has set himself on fire on multiple occasions. All with meaning and spectacle in mind.
Finally she tried rammstein 🤟😩 you Rock
Free :)
Rammstein's lives are in another level, enjoy the rabbit hole 👊🏻❤️
As someone who was at a couple of their shows I can't wait to see one more
there so much power being in an audience that size all you feel is the power of the band and those about you I wish ihad had a chance to gogin to see Rammstein
Every reaction "Is he on a treadmill?" hahaha
Apart from the pyrotechnics and the tune being a banger. This has been insightful.
Scratching the surface of German industrial, be worth having a look at Combichrist and their live version of They/never surrender and get out of my head.
Rammstein - Ich tu dir Weh is my no. 1 Rammstein song
Since you liked Du Hast it's time to check out Armee der Tristen, Engel and Adeiu just continue down in the rabbit hole 🙂
The size was incredible but the audience was no less engaged
There have always been a couple songs on each album that have raised an eyebrow or created some sort of controversy or dialogue.
There is a time-lapse video. In it, the construction takes 7 days. And they have two identical stages.
Do dig in, they do explore human nature in their early work.
this song is a good therapy for a nice mood
I’m new to this channel but I really like it. I don’t know how your song request system works but I just want to say “The Downward Spiral” album would be perfect for a video at some point if you’re looking for recommendations. I don’t know if you do albums or only individual songs, but its a chronological story with a lot of things that would fit with this channel and speaking about mental health.
You are so so so so so so so beautiful and alive full of energy ... Love you ❤
You NEED to see Rammstein's Mein Teil live. I will personally put together a list of songs they did live that you need to see!
One of the most underrated singers of all time, Till has an amazing voice.
Amazing concert. Also something to think about. A German group who sings in mostly German doing concerts in the USA and selling out stadiums. I saw them at the alamo dome on the same tour as the video, it was amazing.
OMG, I have never seen such a clear analysis of this song from a first time listen, especially since you don't speak German, kudos to you.
Every time I see this I have to watch Engel [Live from MSG] as well. Sounds like raw, uncut pain. God, I don't want to be an angel anymore.
Man what a show
If we're on the Rammstein train, I recommend "Ich tu dir weh". The live performance, the song itself, all of it is *chef's kiss*
Every show they perform is an amazing experience.
Going to one of their shows is a must on any bucket list
Love this band....30 years and going strong.
Saw them at the Family Values tour in Kansas City in 98 I think… It took me forever to find their cd after I got the Lost Highway soundtrack
You need to do Mein Hertz Brennt - Piano version :D
Never fails.. in almost every reaction video to Rammstein... "is that dude on a treadmill?" 🤣
When you get the chance, check out the piano version of "mein herz brennt"(spell check that) by Rammstein. Extremely powerful song, made even harder with the delicate undertones of the piano compared to the og version. Fun fact: The singer, Lindemann is a licensed pyrotechnician.
They are hands down the best band ever to see live!!!! U need to go see!
Best Band in the World..either live or music videos..the Best !
You are so refreshing...thanks for being you ;)
And when you are done with 50+ Rammstein hits, you want to have a look at Heilung "Anoana". Should be right up your alley.
Always watch metal or rock live , stage show talent is a big part of it
I always wondered. Do you film with GoPro (with fish lenses) or your desk in background is that crooked?
Love Rammstein. A lot of their songs can be about controversial and social topics but all in all they are a very entertaining band that helped me wanna learn German. The beauty of music is that when it is from a different country you would wanna learn more about their cultural background. :D
Also, I wanted to give you a recommendation of a good song for you to check out:
Queens Of The Stone Age - I Appear Missing
That one is a great song about the singer Josh Homme going through a near death experience due to an injury and goes in detail of the toll it can take on one's psyche.
As some of Rammstein's songs address controversial themes in smart subtle ways - you often have to read between the lines - and sometimes have double entendres, I'd suggest you check out more of their songs. You'll have a ball analysing them, I think.
Rammstein tours with 1,350 Tons of equipment when they tour and have 99 trucks. Someday, I hope to get to see them live.
