it's a strong criticism of american consumerism and the overall cultural spread - you see thehe how the many nationalities, ethnical and cultural societies are using american brands and products. and the part "this is not a love song" basically says that the saying "we're all living in america" is not a compliment.

Pure sarcasm, love their humor in this one, I feel like when they say "this is not a love song" is because so many people, if wasn't for that line in particular would take the lyrics seriously and would of thought they are worshipping this behaviors, which is kinda sad because so many people out there don't understand sarcasm

"Vor Paris steht MM" is referencing war - to "stand in front of a city" in German (can) mean that war arrived at your doorsteps, depends on tone and context.
For example, in 1945, the Russians stood in front of Berlin, die Russen standen vor Berlin. But since MM isn't a military leader or faction, we know that this is about cultural and economic war (unless actual war is needed to protect economic interests ofc).
I don't even actually believe that they were purely targeting the US, but the age of "globalization" in general.

it´s not only a east german thing. Most of the Americans I've met so far have been really great. In my childhood, all the heroes were Americans. But then I saw pictures of the Vietnam War, and that's when the image started to crack. With Jimmy Carter, hope arose and then ...
the fear of World War 3
      the fight for oil
against the allies of yesterday, and or the against the friends of my enemies, with the enemies of my enemies, no matter which.
