Bravissimo ! You perform it "relax" as it should be . One of your late post (The Storm / The Hunters) inspired me a few years ago to post my own rendition with the group "Flashback".
I have decided yours is the best cover to date. Strangely enough you have mastered all the difficult areas while a few simple corrections prevent this from being the perfect cover. The original bass line is just as interesting on the backing track.
Just for a bit of fun, I tried the app "Shazam" on this performance. It identified it as Man of Mystery by the Shadows throughout, with the exception of the "solo", which it identified as Man of Mystery by Robbie Januarsa :-) . This suggests 2 things: 1) your fame is spreading as Shazam knows who you are, and 2) you have work to do on the middle section! Only kidding. An amazing performance and the closest to the original 45 I have ever heard. Bravo!!
Hi Cliff, haha I never knew that. That is interesting, I will try Shazam later on, that is a flattering result indeed. I have my latest video of me demoing a few Shads' tunes, and it was blocked in America for copyright reason, I am guessing that youtube algorithm thinks that they are the original versions, so they have been fooled lol. A great track, it always sounds atmospheric when it has the right amount of echo, I think it was one of the best early Shadows tracks, also a favourite is Unchained Melody off Me and my Shadows with Cliff, Hank's guitar through the Selmer Truvoice is one of the best sounds he ever achieved.
